Seems like if you spread the big mac sauce on the chaffles and then sprinkle some shredded lettuce it would stick and you could eat it almost like a tostada. I guess the same could be done for the taco version.
Hi girls. They looked really greasy at first but once you drained them and brought them downstairs to eat they looked much more appetizing. Thanks for another great video! ❤
They look so delicious. I love chaffles. When I make them as burger buns, I like to add fresh dill, a little bit of cut up dill pickles and diced canned jalapeños. They are so good. I use cheddar cheese and make it extra crispy.
These chaffles would lend themselves well as a substitute for croutons in a nice big lunch or dinner salad. A taco salad for the taco seasoned one - maybe add a bit of cilantro . I often spice up plain ranch dressing with chipotle chili powder. If you ever find a sauce that really floats your boat, combine it with ranch dressing! Love you ladies! Keep up the good work. I’ll be watching your videos from the Chicago suburbs and Door County.
I've done very similar (using onion powder, salt, pepper + whatever other seasonings IN chaffle mix... sparing any onion, relish etc to be included in the sauce.. much easier) Also easier... small bowl, 1 EGG, more meat & then cheese. Having it all mixed together not only makes it easier to put into waffle maker, it holds together better imho + slightly less burn-y-tasting or overly chewy/oily. Then you can make a salsa type dip (if doing taco themed ones) OR... the big mac-ish sauce, putting the onion/relish in that. Hope that helps someone looking to make them.
Omg 😂 SHIRT w/ " PLEASE BE SOMETHING!" please. I have not bought any Keto shirts ever, and I have done this for 3 years. I would buy that one. Besides I love your channel. Thanks so much for all you both do. Merry 🎄 Christmas
I am so going to try this.❤🎉 Husband loves taco (which I will try cooking the meat /sauce & seasoning to flavor the meat, like someone mentioned in comments) Plus, I like the idea of lettuce on the Mac with sauce. This is awesome 😅 I'd serve it for our little football watching pleasures.😊
This looks so cool! I bet you could do a 'chicken parm' variant by doing sliced provolone, cooked ground chicken, and some Italian seasoning and dipping in marinara! Or 'pirogi' with shredded mozz with some mashed cauli and serving with some caramelized onions? Maybe there's a sweet version out there somewhere... Also!! Do you think you could do an in-depth video on cleaning/maintaining the 4-well chaffle maker? I have one and can't seem to ever get it super clean.
I do this w/ a 12oz can of white meat chicken, drained + 1 egg + cheese of choice & italian type seasonings. Sometimes, if I have them on hand or the mix looks too 'wet', I'll add a heaping tbsp of pork rind panko too. Make the chaffles, then dip into a clean marinara sauce. :)
Love Colby Jack, my Granddaughter brought it to me one day and I was hooked. I love these, would be a neat thing to bring to a party, can't wait to try them.
Can't wait to try the Big Mac. I made a similar mess with my Dash 4 waffle maker and still can't get it clean. How about a short video on just cleaning the waffle maker. My mess was because of excess butter mixed in with the cheese and egg chaffle. So would be sooooo grateful to see how you get yours looking so clean and ready to cook on!
These are great! Made with taco seasoned burger, onions & cheese & used like a tostada shell with shredded lettuce, tomato, sour cream & salsa on top! Yummy!
Grated carrot and thinle sliced onions and lettuce works well added into the mix, if you want to go Xmasy try adding just a few grams of Orange, Mint, Coffee, Dark Chocolate or Cranberrys into a few to make an interesting selection.
I make a “Big Mac Salad” regularly, which is basically a deconstructed Big Mac without the bun in salad form, and it uses a similar sauce as the salad dressing… one suggestion I have for making those chaffles less bulky, cut up the pickles and only put them in the sauce/dressing, and substitute dried crushed red onions (such as Plochman’s, available in Walmart) for the fresh ones… the dried onions have zero carbs, and are way easier to sprinkle onto something like this…
Maybe take part of the meat and cook it with the spices using chili powder a little cumin and let it sit for a few hours to absorb the spices. Love these ideas and will try soon.
This looks great. I've also been putting cut up onions in your amazing chaffle recipe and which gives them an onion ring flavor. A bit of poultry seasoning added to that makes them taste like turkey stuffing/dressing.
I started 5 days ago . Love my lettuce and veggies so I’m good so far . I’m also a carb addict so I’m sure these videos will help me in the future when I get bored with meat and veggies
Haha: as the intro was playing, and before I knew what y’all were making, I thought that Emily was sprinkling raisins (instead of ground beef) onto the cheese!
I have always added taco seasoning to chaffles but never thought about adding ground beef. I would make beef chili w/o beans and we'd just spread it on reheated taco chaffles and top it with cheese (lettuce, guac, and finely chopped tomatoes or salsa. Oh, and sour cream.)
I saw this and I was thinking this sounds like something I could easily eat and possibly get my husband to enjoy because he is a chip lover, so I’m going to try this thank you and to the lady who suggested it as well
@ketotwins it wasn't as spicy as you'd think it would have been. But they were really crunchy and tasted so good. I used them for my buns for my turkey sliders ❤️
I use the Dash4 to make wafle parmesan cheese crisps. Could I make little pizza crisps w pizza sauce & bacon or cooked hamburger? IDK but the crisps are just Kroger shredded parmesan cheese. I'm definitely gonna try your versions. Thanks ladies!🙏🏻
These look really good and I will try them, for sure. JustJasonKeto made a poutin chaffle on his channel earlier this week. That might be fun to try. Thank you!
So when on vacation the condo we rented had a George Foeman quesadilla maker. It was very similar to our Dash waffle maker. We made a batch of chaffles with it. They came out perfect and it was way easier to clean. I liked because it made six triangular pieces. We have since bought one and if you don't cut them into pieces it could make an awesome pizza crust. I wouldn't be surprised if Dash makes it and puts the George Forman name on it. We got it from Amazon for around $35.00.
That’s how I usually clean mine but I don’t even need the toothbrush which might melt! The steam usually clears extra well. I do think having a savory waffle maker and a sweet one is a better option!
I think I would combine the meat, onions and pickle ahead of time to simplify the layers. Would likely take less time and allow top and bottom to cook more evenly. Plan on trying this.
LOL Use the same concept and make a pizza chaffle. experiment with tomato sauce, parm, mozz and Italian seasoning. I like to add the tom sauce and seasoning to the chaffle rather than after.
FYI, when I don't make my own taco seasoning, I use Badia Spices Taco Seasoning. No sugar, 0 carbs, no calories! I get the big jar, lasts forever. Then you can use more taco seasoning lol 😊 Thanks for the chaffle idea!
Okay... you might like this ( you KNOW) I will be trying the Big Mac out!) - I was searching for something to satisfy my crave for onion rings... but could not find my donut pan to make the recipe you posted not too long ago... so... I did this: 1 cup grated havarti cheese 3/4 cup chopped or minced YELLOW onion ( less carbs in the yellow onion oddly enough) 1/2 cup pork panko Mix it all together and place into waffle/chaffle maker- once cooked leave closed for about 30-45 seconds to fully crisp. Or ( my preferred method) Place in muffin top pan and bake or air fry/convection @400 for 18 minutes, flip and cook for 3 minutes longer to get evenly browned. Same recipe but different finished products - I have not yet tried them in the "mini waffle" size... they would be more like waffle fry size that way... but they are on my list! You can also season them any way you prefer because the havarti is neutral except for a slightly nutty flavor... infact the first time I made this it was with the dill havarti version of cheese and it was just fine. Hope that is y'all try this you love em as much as I do!
For a refreshing mexican style dip: sour cream mixed with salsa and sliced cherry tomatoes, all to taste and your carb consumption. I go with a couple of heaping tablespoons of sour cream, a pour over of Pace picante and lots of tomato including the juice.
I do think I like the idea of making a taco version of this would work except I would do maybe cheese-seasoned meat-salsa-cheese then I’d top my with lettuce tomato sour cream and more salsa! Love this idea!
I make pickle chips in a muffin tin and this looks like a pickle chip recipe but for the dash. I modify my pickle chip recipe and make a taco one with cheese, taco meat and jalapeno.
I wanted to respond on the marshmallow video but the comments are suspended. I have a super easy marshmallow recipe that is so easy, 1-1/4 cups water, sprinkle in and lightly mix 40 grams of good beef gelatin, as you lightly mix it, add in a healthy splash of vanilla, let that sit in the mixer bowl so the gelatin can bloom. In a medium heavy saucepan, bring to a boil of @ least 160 degrees, 140 grams of either simple sugar water (allulose and water) or like me, you can use a keto maple syrup or a coffee syrup like the Torani zero sugar, Puremade (made with stevia/monk fruit). Start the blender, on low, then start pouring in the hot syrup. once it's all in, just let it whisk for about 15 minute on high, until it's got stiff peaks. Let is set up for about 2hrs in the fridge. You will have gigantic, fluffy, zero calorie marshmallows. I love them.
Heres what I like about your cooking: You're cooking at my level. I know how the recipes will turn out. If you guys were professional chefs, I would think, "oh no, I have to do a test drive to see how it works"

Parsley makes food look pretty and it naturally helps to detox heavy metals.
that cracked me up "we shared a womb we can share a sauce" lol
Seems like if you spread the big mac sauce on the chaffles and then sprinkle some shredded lettuce it would stick and you could eat it almost like a tostada. I guess the same could be done for the taco version.
Or use two chaffles and put the shredded lettuce between them.
And some sauce and corn on the taco flavoured
Great idea. Or, wrap the lettuce around it to make easier to eat with less oil on your fingers. A lettuce wrap!
Hi girls. They looked really greasy at first but once you drained them and brought them downstairs to eat they looked much more appetizing. Thanks for another great video! ❤
Use the big mac chips like a bun. Put sauce, lettuce and tomatoes inside. Slurp. Looks great!
They look so delicious. I love chaffles. When I make them as burger buns, I like to add fresh dill, a little bit of cut up dill pickles and diced canned jalapeños. They are so good. I use cheddar cheese and make it extra crispy.
Your paper towel cleaning method is awesome!! Thank you so much!!!
Hope you try it!
I saw you do it in another video - use it all the time - makes cleaning so much easier!
I’ll mix the meat, onion, and pickle together
We all love the KetoTwins 😁😁😁😁😁😁😀😀😀
🙈🙈🤗💗
How come one twin does all this talking!?! Why don't we hear more from Sarah?
I've done very similar (using onion powder, salt, pepper + whatever other seasonings IN chaffle mix... sparing any onion, relish etc to be included in the sauce.. much easier) Also easier... small bowl, 1 EGG, more meat & then cheese. You’re removing Al lot of the fat from the cheese by spooking up around the Chaffee.
Maybe try using the taco mix while cooking the meat like on the package instructions. The meat will absorb the taco seasoning flavor.
Ooh good idea, we will try that!
@@Moni-dr1bz That's how we do tacos in Sweden, where it has become pretty much the go to Friday family dish. 😊
@@ingela_injeelawe do it here in east coast of America and other places too. We do it on Tuesday’s., Taco Tuesday’s 😂😊
😂like on package instructions
You guys just created KETO nachos. You could then add toppings to the taco-flavored Chaffles as well as tomatoes and let's. Just a thought.
Omg 😂 SHIRT w/ " PLEASE BE SOMETHING!" please. I have not bought any Keto shirts ever, and I have done this for 3 years. I would buy that one. Besides I love your channel. Thanks so much for all you both do. Merry 🎄 Christmas
These look amazing! Thank you both.
Oh, this is right up my alley. Looks so yummy and simple .
It's so simple. Cheese ham scrambled eggs.. cheese pepperoni, what ever you want. Thanks ladies ❤
Jalapeño, corn, bacon...
I could see a pizza version too! Cheese sauce pepperoni cheese!
Enjoyed the video. The chaffles sounded nice and crunchy. Looking forward to trying out the recipe.
I do this same type keto snack by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl and frying patties in a non-stick frying pan. Works great and yummo!!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing that it works in a pan!
Love Big Macs! I'm thinking of so many ideas! Ruben chaffles... Thank you for sharing this from Keto Mama Danielle!
That's a great idea! We might have to try that next time!

These looks like great lunch ideas! Thank you!

That sounds amazing, we should try that next time!
Hello Ladies~ These "CRISPS" look yummy! Thanks for researching & finding the recipe & adding your own spin. Great idea.
Love watching your videos! 🙋
I wanted to call them chips 😂, Sarah refused and said they are chaffles. I said fine lol
I love the idea of a taco chaffle.
Might try pepper jack cheese for the taco version.
These are great! Made with taco seasoned burger, onions & cheese & used like a tostada shell with shredded lettuce, tomato, sour cream & salsa on top! Yummy!
Haven't tuned in to you girls in FOREVER & so happy to see you still at it! Mmm... big mac chaffed sounds 😋 yummy
Thanks ladies 💖

Yum!! Thanks for sharing Nicole! We might have to try those in a video!
Makin those Big Mac chaffles tonight!!! YUM-O 😋
Since you are just using cheese could you use slices instead?
Hmmmmm I’m not sure!

Oh, they do look good 👍
Chili Man seasoning mix has no sugar and is very tasty. I use it in place of taco seasoning and for my chili.

Maybe try using round already sliced cheese. They sound yummy
I made chaffles for the 1st time a couple of days ago. I used carolina reaper cheese and they were soooo good!!!
That sounds so spicy! Lol
@ketotwins it wasn't as spicy as you'd think it would have been. But they were really crunchy and tasted so good. I used them for my buns for my turkey sliders ❤️
Looks super crunchy!
You girls are hilarious! You make me laugh and make my day.
🤗🤗🤗
I think that both versions would taste great in a tossed salad with the sauces as a salad dressing for it.
That’s a great idea! Kind of like Big Mac crunchy croutons!
Nice recipe!! thank you girls for sharing
watching the likes go up and up. great vid

You can make your own taco seasoning. It’s so easy. With no carbs or no sugar
Maybe make a sandwich with the big mac ones- put the lettuce tomato and sauce between 2 of the big mac chaffles??
Making taco seasoning from scratch is super easy. And you can omit or lower the salt amount. No carbs!
Interesting. Thank you for sharing this.
😂😂 Excellent editing: “be kind”…”NO”…cut. 😂 💋💋
😂😂💗
Wow, that looks great!
Thanks girls 😘 neat idea 💡 with lots of other options it makes me think about!! Yay 🎉
It’s sooo good! We made it the next day again lol that’s rare for us
@ketotwins something different and new is always like that for me , I'll burn myself out on it lol 😂
I wonder how they would come out if you just premixed it all together before loading the dash.
I’m not sure! I thought the cheese created a base and top layer but it might not even be necessary to do that 🤷🏻♀️
Hey there, I think it will be less messy and the cheese color lighter in a cupcake pan in the oven instead. Thanks❤
Emily’s mannerisms & facial expressions remind me so much of Joan Kusak. I love it! ❤
lol!
Yep, wet paper towels and a tooth brush 😊
That’s how I usually clean mine but I don’t even need the toothbrush which might melt! The steam usually clears extra well. I do think having a savory waffle maker and a sweet one is a better option!
Oh, I always add 1 green envelope of monk fruit eryth. to the Big Mac dressing. Perfect. Elizabeth
I am that way with melting chocolate . I hate the smell of it but love the taste of it as long as it is dark.
Y'all are making me hungry! 😁 Those look so delicious 😋 👍 Enjoy your blessings this weekend 💜🙏✌️🎶🌞❄️🎄☃️

lol I love the please be something saying. Haha😂
Love watching you gals 😊
I needed some giggles. Thanks. 💜😉🙃
Okay... you might like this ( you KNOW) I will be trying the Big Mac out!) - I was searching for something to satisfy my crave for onion rings... but could not find my donut pan to make the recipe you posted not too long ago... so... I did this:

Yum! I bet ham and cheese would be good too ! 😊
might be interesting to try your chaffle recipe with the big mac stuff ;P
Maybe make your regular chaffel and add all those toppings to it? Maybe won't be so greasy and have more structure to it? lol I dunno.
I do think I like the idea of making a taco version of this would work except I would do maybe cheese-seasoned meat-salsa-cheese then I’d top my with lettuce tomato sour cream and more salsa! Love this idea!
This may keep me out of the drive through with my driving job!
Hope you like it as much as we do!
Oh yeah I’m gonna try this
I want a “please be something shirt”
I would sprinkle Rotel on the taco chaffles😊
I make pickle chips in a muffin tin and this looks like a pickle chip recipe but for the dash. I modify my pickle chip recipe and make a taco one with cheese, taco meat and jalapeno.
Im making these
Just tried a new chaffle . 1 avocado, 1 egg and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. (makes 3 Chaffle breads. (Yummy)
what if you just mixed all ingredients together instead of different layers...just a tgought
Maybe flip it and cook on the other side a minute. I will definitely try these! Dukes is, by far, my favorite mayo!
I watched this video 😁
Thank you 😂
Would you have to cook a steak um first?

Thank you, yes we are not at all professional 🫤😂
Do you typically shred your own cheese or buy packaged shredded cheese?
We do both!
You guys are so cute. I love that saying please be something
Wow! You twins make cool stuff! Going to try this. How many carbs do you consume on average a day….if I may ask??
We aim for 20-25 net carbs but if we are over a little we don’t sweat it, we are relaxed
@ Thankyou for reply! 💕….Well you two look fabulous!
Just tried the Big Mac…love it!
looks good
You could make tostadas. You could add some bacon bits to the burger one too, I mean, since it wasn't greasy enough.😂
