A beautiful and outstanding sounding Vintage 1994 Gibson 100th Anniversary Gospel Guitar with the original Gibson Hard Shell Case and the Gibson Case Candy! Hard to believe this beauty is already 30 years old!
These guitars were made proudly in Bozeman Montana and it's in really nice shape. Just a few scratches on the Solid Spruce Top and no Buckle Rash on the beautiful Arched Mahogany Back. Yes, I said, Arched Back. This is one of the features of these Gospel Model guitars that give it such awesome booming and in charge voices
Here's some info we found on the internet regarding these cool guitars..
The Gibson Gospel is an acoustic guitar by Gibson Guitar Corporation. It has a flat top, hard square shoulders and a unique arched back. The guitar is good for acoustic, folk, blues and used for practice by several musicians. The guitar has a natural finish, solid wood sides, laminated arched back and a tortoise-shell design pickguard.
There are two main batches of this guitar, the originals (1972-1979) and the re-issues (1992-1997). The 100th anniversary model (1994) is included in the re-issues. The original issue had maple sides with an arched, laminated back, as well as a maple neck. The reissue, however, varied greatly in that all maple was replaced with mahogany on the neck, sides and back, though the back did keep its arched shape. In 1992 when Gibson again offered the gospel acoustic model, the reissue is actually superior compared to the original. Gibson chose mahogany over maple for the reissue, it has multiple white binding, multi ply arched back (very deep sounding), unbound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, scalloped braces like those on the more expensive models, and finishes were available in natural or sunburst. Gibson only made 100 of the 100 Anniversary Model Gospel Guitars.
This Gospel guitar sports not only an arched back but it has a 15 3/4 inch wide lower bout on the body, a 25 1/4 inch scale neck, and a 1 3/4 inch wide original nut. Everything on this guitar is original to the guitar to include the bridge, pickguard and tuners. It has some top scratches but no cracks. It is starting to finish craze which is in the finish only. It's starting to show its age on the finish. We all love our Gibsons getting finish crazing
The guitar is Professionally set up with a new set of Dr Ducks 11 gauge strings. It had 12.5 gauge strings on it when we got it. It handled them just fine but my preference is a lighter gauge for my old hands. It's sounds awesome with either gauge!
The frets has some pitting on upper Cowboy Chord area but they are still in fine shape. It has a strap button installed for a traditional strap setup. It is not electrified. No pickup has been installed on this one so the strap button on the butt end is also original.
Check out the Original Brown Gibson Branded Hard Shell case! I love the Purple interior. It looks very rich. All latches, hinges and original handle are still with it. The case has many bangs on the exterior. No damage, just wear. Also, check out the original case candy that come with it. Warranty card and info. Very cool to have the originals!

I have one of these 100th anniversary models from 1994 (left handed) - I had erroneously thought the back and sides were maple until recently learning that was just the originals and not reissues. Beautiful guitar!
Picked one of these up last fall from a guy who clears out estates. It came with an original case and I paid $900. It's a little more than I wanted to pay, and when I first looked at it, the action was pretty high. I took a bit of a chance, but it is an awesome guitar. It just creates so much sound, and has a great vintage guitar feel and sound. I was lucky that the neck is good in action is low after I set it up. It's my main acoustic right now. I also have a Martin d16 and a Laravee d03. Thanks for sharing

I had the same guitar, the top was completely crack and disintegrated due to dry humility in Colorado within the 1st month of ownership
