HO Scale Fails and Derailments Part 10!

- Clocking out the 10th installment of something I never thought would go beyond a few videos!
For what started as putting throw away clips to use, it's crazy to see how many people have tuned in!
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to check these out! I'll likely keep messing with these as time and stuff acting up on camera allows! - Авто та транспорт
I don't see how your railroad stays In business with all these accidents lol
All about cash under the table 😂
Said no BNSF employee ever.
@@chasewithrow4008 Especially when the company keeps repairing units that would normally be too expensive to repair.

1:56 Somehow it detached, and then became reattached in the same shot. WHAT?!?!
@@jack-jx3qg what do you expect, those are Japanese rolling stock
1:08 Okay, radioactive material should be the ONE THING that you'd want to make sure stays on the track.
This layout's motto is "What, me worry??" -- (Alfred E. Neuman, fictitious mascot of "Mad Magazine" catchphrase, which was NOT created by Mad Magazine.)
As a train driver, most of those could have been avoided with proper speed signals and procedures
That's just game
@@RakeshKR10 you know the word "sarcasm"?
I feel this, my trains would constantly jump the switch, I did not know why, they would also randomly decouple while in motion
Seem like eg logadgöis
its probably the weight, my dad used to get around this problem by using scale speeds, and when that wasn't enough by weighting his freight cars with stacks of pennies glued together and then glued to the floor of the cars.
badly setup tracks on the layout and cheap couplers.
What “Troublesome” Trucks And Engines!
Seeing these crashes gives me such pain knowing how expensive model railroading is
Maybe it's just me but it appears this layout likes to multi-drift and has something against Steam Engines and Plastic Couplings
yeah it just says, "no! I don't want that steam loco"
The layout is steam engine-phobic

Train: I guess I’ll just take a nap here
Btw I love your channel
My dad had a train layout when my sister and I were kids. This reminds me of my mom trying to run it. Oh, the fun we had!

Good thing you Deus Ex Machina'ed that Nuclear cargo, that could have ended up being a real disaster

All these great HO railroads on YT had me thinking of getting back into it, but this reminded me how finicky it can be. I'll stick with O ga., thanks!
yeah, IM a o gauge fan myself but i tried ho gauge once, it didnt work out well
God, watching this makes me so glad I switched to O scale. Infinitely less derailments
O scale gang
Agreed
Crys in 160th scale
Be careful Gomez may hear you.
I'm making the switch the O scale myself and I have had almost 0 derailments on my tracks.
2:03 was magic
I keep telling myself, these videos are painful to watch but entertaining
Nothing has been messed up so far, just to clarify. If anything it sped up coupler replacements.
@@SCL3618 and how many cars had to go get their couplers replaced?
@@DOTD7382 Mostly stuff in the earlier videos, nothing as of late.
I might be sleep deprived right now, but is that Calliope Mori I hear at 2:09? I feel like I remember her saying that during Korone's iconic "I'm die. Thank you forever."
Edit: I just checked, and yes. Yes it was.
Bingo! Was gonna include the full bit, but went for the easier route for those who haven't fallen in the rabbit hole.
@@SCL3618 heeheehee ;)
3:13 me on my wooden railway layout in seconds.
Your railroad has more accidents than Norfolk Southern this year lol
1:57 *task failed succesfully*
My poor Southern train at 0:25. Great Video.
1:50 that was actually kinda amazing
1:16 honestly would prefer more erratic illumination to potray the uncertainty and danger of carrying that type of cargo
It's a Lionel HO piece from the 60's, best they could manage at the time was a flickering bulb lol
😂😂😂
Entertaining video , just like my layout sometimes. The rattling sound from a derailment is terrifying to my ears. It's a sign to put the train into emergency when I hear that.
Oh by the way I wasn't able to read the full reply to your picture about Bush's funeral car. My phone said "a problem with the server ".
That blasted Pillsbury car! It's cool to see steam engines on your layout; it's kind of a rare occasion. Is there a reason for that per chance?
Not really, just got the engine out for some mileage this time.
0:30 "i'm tired, i don't want to work anymore"
This railroad is basically penn central, change my mind 🗿🥶
Engineer Bob sez. "Speed kills, always remember to match your train to a prototype speed".
As they say in the business of TM, "Oh No!" Great video!
My HO layout is 26’x 26’. The mainline is double tracked. We run four trains of about 20-30 cars each. You have to watch what’s going on all of the time so that a minor derailment like most of these doesn’t turn into a disaster. Fouling the other mainline can cause a real pileup. Over the past 30 years,we’ve worked out most of the bad spots, and trains tend to run well, but you still have to watch. If you’re alone, you can either run the four trains, or switch the yard or industrial tracks, but not both. I need at least one of my sons with me to do both.
Congrats! You have a better safety record than Amtrak!
If all of this was real life: Everyone: INTENSE SCREAMING
1:32 Cajón Pass Train Wreck 1998/Jul/Fri
A Long cargo train was going to another stop untill it decoupled with the rest that’s still on that derailed on a curve while the released cars crash onto the same curve as the rest of the train derailed and made a
huge fire.
These things happen on the best layouts..... like children, model railroads are guaranteed to let you down in company. Actually, that break-away with the Colorado & Southern mogul did happen a time or two in real life, making it probably the most authentic incident in the whole film!
1. Best bojangles commercial
2. Lots of stored CSX locomotives
3. Where is the PSR edition
PTC could have prevented this!
No it wouldn't because they already had permission to disable PTC so they could move LOL

I like how the car transporting nuclear waste was about to derail and cause a catastrophy, but god was like "No, not today."
Switches are always a crick in the neck... and I should know. But, hopefully, no engines and rolling stock are not badly damaged.
I love the sound effects!!😂
Accidents, accidents, accidents! Talk about having a one track mind!😜
We prefer to nail both tracks when possible!
The couplers are just like the troublesome trucks they do their nasty tricks!

No normal day in Ohio
I love the police set up and the nuclear thing
just a question, when are you going to do part 11? :)
Soon!
1:30 Bert has the heartbreaking moment when he decides to detach the rest of the train carts from the train.
0:20 was probably my favourite out of all
CSX the way to move yesterdays fright.
The train that stops and then when moved, now it's called the " meep meep express "
This remembers me to the good old days of Thomas and Friends.
Bros railroad is invincible
I would love to have something like this. sadly i lack the space and creativity for building my own.
You can build a 4x4 layout and have it hinged against a wall. You could go smaller with N scale.
I see a lot of fails with those plastic McHenry couplers.
I feel your pain....how the wheels are out of alignment or bent plastic trucks or worst - the trains don't like you!
Wowww.... That's Superb.. 👌👌👌🔥
If you didn't run them at supersonic speed, they might stay on the tracks. Speed is a Killer.
This is EXACTLY why I put my ho stuff in boxes,I'm going O gage
The cars randomly uncoupling and falling over is all to common on my layouts
Boy that Pillsbury sure gives ya a lot of grief, eh.

Seems you have a lot of csx marked locomotives the thing im wondering is how haven't they fired you yet?
It's the NS junkers you have to worry about
It's like modeling the Penn Central
1:58 HEY! WAIT FOR ME!!!
What a beautiful scale model of Ohio you have!
Half the club modeling Norfolk Southern finally came home to roost.
So many naughty troublesome trucks...
