Young Cayman Brac Rock Iguanas in the Sun

- Took these little ones out for a little sun today, first time in about 2 months, reason being is I am trying to have them be the tamest and less scared lizards I ever sold. The tamest lizards I ever sold from a clutch were the Black Throat Monitors back in the 90's. My rock iguanas are very well socialized when I sell them, but they dont like to be picked up like the Black Throats did.

Good stuff Dave! I hope alls well.
Same to you David. Long long time since I heard from you. I have been watching some of your videos. Thanks for watching
Awww some of them huddled up together for safety. lol It always amazes me how fast they can skitter and climb too. I know they can but it's so easy to forget until they do it. Makes sense they'd be worried about the fast moving cars; they're still so little! Thanks for the double-video!
I thought this comment was from the first video in the blue room. The cars and everything are new to them, I really like when they see a jet plane ten thousand feet in the air and think its after them! Its just a bird to them and birds are probably their biggest predators at this age. Thanks for watching
@@DaveDurham Oh, no worries! I watched them in order but left comments out of order, sorry about that. Yes, they climbed on you in that one and scampered around in both haha. I also just realized I think I somehow missed a bunch of videos over the past few months because I just watched the one where you were trying to train them a bit with the worms. They love climbing on you when they can, sneaky little babies trying to get out. (Edit: Of course, in retrospect they may also just want to climb onto you because they like you, they climb all over each other too, but with so many I understand that you can't take the risk of them escaping that way.) Although now they know what's outside, I wonder if they'll be more nervous about getting out into the blue room? Probably not! Oh and it makes sense; the plane would definitely be a big scary hawk or something like that to them. They probably think the cars are the dogs that kept barking. Thanks for sharing. 😆
@@DoveJS On my e-mail I get a reply all to my you tube comments, the thumbnail is pretty small so I get them confused. I havnt lately but, sometimes I get hundreds of comments daily and its hard to keep track of 800 + videos every day. If more people used their names instead of a handle like you it might be easier to remember the person. Right now I am only getting 50 to 100 comments a day, but they go way up in the winter. Today i have already been answering comments for over 2 hours. Glad I am retired! Thanks for watching
@@DaveDurham Yeah, I have mine set-up for emails too and I think the thumbnail gets even smaller if you're on a phone vs. a computer. I sometimes have to look at the title to figure it out but I don't always think of that. Even if I'm already on youtube, on my computer, and I just see the notification, half the time I don't know what it's in response to until I click the link because the thumbnail is just as tiny there. No worries. 😄
Oh wow! That's a lot of replies. And yeah, you're probably getting a lot more people discovering your channel in winter when it's cold and they're huddled up inside. Ha ha I'm glad you're retired too! Don't worry about a reply to this comment. Have a great day and enjoy petting the babies! 😆
@@DoveJS I dont mind the replying, I like talking about reptiles, its just sometimes I start reading them and a lot dont even have anything to do with reptiles. But to get to the reptile part I have to go through the list. Some people even write stories and poems about my reptiles in some of the comments. The best story was about a robber trying to rob my house, but there are a few good ones. Most comments come from my viral videos, and a few from my new videos. Nice talking with you today.
Are these babies from Gracie or Sophie?
These babies are from from Lucky and one is from Sophie. Most of Sophies were lost in the incubator malfunction like 20 eggs from Sophie 2 weeks from hatching. Thanks for watching
when did your famous iguana die?
