Is there a way to make the battery bigger? I have to ride the gotrax rival to high school which is 6 miles away and the battery always runs out a mile or two before I get home on the way back.
@@thedelusioner4250 that’s weird. You should get 9-12 miles out of it depending on the wear and stress on the motor. I would think you could charge at school. Weird it wouldn’t get 6 miles.
I have had mine for a year and a half now and it is the best $300 I ever spent. I just rode it through 2 in of slush on the roads for about a two mile round trip. The fact that it is front wheel drive, it plows right through that slush. I have used it in extremely wet terrain and have never had an issue knock on wood.
I've been using mine since Christmas heavily. And they're right. I've ridding it through snow, ice, and wet conditions and it had surprisingly good traction. @@willnaffziger8552
I had just purchased this same model for $233 with taxes at Walmart. I been having my eyes on it for a while. It was 498 then went to 398. Now it’s on sale for 198 so I had to get it. Ant wait to get it and imma make a video too.
Will definitely pick this one up at some point! I have the HIBOY max3 which is great for my commute but it’s 40lbs! Can not beat the price on this GoTrax 👍
Yeah I'm getting one. A few years ago I inherited a beat up Razor E200 that was already rode hard and put away wet and it finally crapped out. It turned a 10+ minute very hot or very cold trek from my parking garage into work into a 2 minute zip. And anybody who's anybody knows how important 10+ minutes can be before work. And after a long day on my feet the last thing I want to do is walk it back.
Ok I use mine in completely different terrain I use it on gravel grass and dirt roads and I can go over bumps it just spins only a bit and it's fun it only took 1 day to get the hang of it and i go way faster than 15 😅
I’m on my 2nd one and the 1st one is nothing wrong with it is just beat up but I’ll use it when is a little wet (not heavy rain) and the new one when is dry and is not recreational is actually work I use them to ride and pick up cars that way I don’t have to walk so much!!! Love this things and are the best investment I ever made , I go home but at least I’m not tired of walking and walking and walking!!! Also is a reputable brand and gives you the trust and safety of the battery 🪫!! Lately so many fires cause people buy weird brands from China and the batteries explode and for example in NYC at least 10 fires are caused by scooters and bikes!!!! So only buy from a well known company like Gotrax!!
@@elitrotter7365if it slips out it wasn't put together right in the first place can't blame gotrax for improper assembly also to get out of Cruz control you just tap the throttle agin for a second and slows down quickly even without breaking I love it it's a great scooter
Thanks for the video, I just got mine last night. However, it looks different than yours. The safety pin is not removable. Is the rival and the gxlv2 one in the same?
i read somewhere that the "rival" is just the name given to the GXL V2 when its sold by walmart. the sticker on the bottom of the rival should still say GXL
Talk about super late to the party, but i love this thing!

Just got a new one, i got around 11 miles, but i was driving max speed about 15-20% of the time.
I'm waiting for mines from Wal-Mart should be here in a few days 1st time getting a scooter.
Good luck, same here hopefully in a day or two.

Cool...
Hold power bit only turn on light not control speed setting 1 or 2 top speed
Bought for $115 off marketplace lol couldn’t figure out the gears
What about if you live in a rainy area?
Just got it on sale at Walmart for $150....
How do I set this up to my phone? The app sucks
How do you change from 1st to second gear?
Se puede comprar un mejor cargador para estas scooters?
Just bought one a hour ago. Already crapped out
If you bought it an hour ago you didn't charge it up when you got it home. Batteries do loose power if you don't charge it, same as cars.
You showed the set up too quickly I still can’t figure out the brake part
Mine didn’t come with a charger
Can u help me with this. My scooter powers on but the battery light stays on and it don't want to move. What do u think the problem can be?
Is it the same type of scooter
Same with mine, I just returned it to try a new one.
Work for about a week, then KaPuut!🙆
You said zippy and Fun as 🍌
I don't like the front brakes
The worst scooter ever! tried to slow down on 15mph and the brake did not stop, had to jump off, I'm switching back to my g2 plus 😒
Really? I was gonna upgrade to this one from. The G2 plus
Sometimes the cord slips out

Hasn’t failed me
bro i hit the brakes and flew over the handle bars
