Between myself and my Step-Brother at the time, we had hundreds of Joes and numerous vehicles. I had Copperhead and played with him often, but I can't recall if it was truly mine or his because at some point he let me have much of his Joe figures. I have memories of using the boat in the tub, but I cannot recall having the boat later in life. It wouldn't have been something I would have lost or gave away. Subsequently, all my Joe figures and vehicles were thrown away by my Step-Father when I was off at school. A trauma that has now sparked a desire to reacquire my collection. Unfortunately I don't have the kind of money to throw down on vintage O-rings, so I have opted for Classified. Copperhead has been recently released, without the boat, of course.
I always put Copperhead with the Dreadnoks, they liked his vehicle....😂🤣 and CrocMaster too later when came out....miss they endless hours of playing with those toys...mom thought l was crazy cause l was alone in my room, but were talking for all my Joes....😂🤣😂🤣
The Moccasin plastic tends to warp with age, its tough finding any example that is still with an airtight seal. I dont think mine ever had a tight seal even as a child. It seemed to sink a bit as well.
One of my favorite characters. I always ended up putting Copperhead (as well as Croc Master and Crystal Ball) with my Dreadnok contingent. Seemed more at home there.
Water Moccasin was how my Dreadnoks got around. Zartan had his swamp skier, Copperhead transported Ripper Buzzer and Torch. That green kinda matches later vehicles that the Dreadnoks used also.
If you compare Copperhead to version 1 Roadblock, who came out the same year, they're very similar. Both have big barrel chests, but comparatively skinny arms without the muscular sculpting later figures would have. But they're still huge compared to 82' or 83' figures, and even to most 84' Joes. And since we know from both his media appearances and later toys that Roadblock was supposed to be a big muscular guy, I assumed Copperhead was supposed to be as well. His modern toys certainly are.
I just bought a complete Water Moccasin with Copperhead and his file card for 101 dollars total. Nothing broken or repaired according to the seller. Is that good?
I loved this vehicle when I was a kid. The torpedo thing was a real nuisance, though. I kept falling off, so I ended up keeping it in what my dad called my "box of tricks", where I kept all the spare parts.
you have the connection bar for the steering vanes on wrong. look at the instruction manual again, if you don't believe me. it goes inwards not outwards.
i thought u were a bit rough on poor ole copperhead there..lol! this was an excellent toy honestly...in retrospect the great folly here is having it so specific to shallow/swamp waters but as a kid i didnt notice that. this was the premier water attack vehicle for cobra in my eyes...be it swamp, river, or open seas!!!!!
Great review. When my son was still into G.I.Joes we were at a flea market where we found the Water Moccasin and an A.W.E Striker. I asked him which one he wanted and he chose the A.W.E Striker. The only thing missing was the Crankcase figure. Instead we got a figure that we later found to be either Bone Crusher(?) or Jaw Breaker(?).
Don't knock his S&M underwear. It's a little known fact that Copperhead won the New Orleans Men of Leather in 1981. Not sure why they left that off the file card.
Good review, neat toy but it looks a bit too undersized for the scale of the figures, Water Moccasin gunner is too exposed in turret, driver sits too high to be fully enclosed in cockpit. This needed to be fixed before store release IMO but pretty cool for what is was in '84.
I'd like to, but I've just been too busy. I recently started a new job, and there is no way I could fit in a weekly comic book review. I enjoyed doing the Comic Book Wednesdays, so I'll look for a way to get back to then-- but probably not soon.
Another great review! I had no idea about the, odd looking torpedo, it was very cool. I may have used it as a spy cam. I won't look at Copper Head the same, now. As a kid, my mother would tell us to watch out for copper heads, when we went into the woods. Now I see why. :)
These earlier videos where you don't give them a tier leaves me uneasy. I want to know where they're placed. And cover head was a bad ass. He was cobras answered a gung-ho. Chest tattoo versus leather drawers. Also I think mine came with a gun like an M4 machine gun similar to grunts at least he always had it when I remember as a kid and when the 25th anniversary came out they gave him a machine gun I don't know....
Thanks to this video i got my self a water moccasin. Thank you HCC788👍
This is the best joe channel amongst some excellent ones
Had one, the later mail away one without the driver. Mine always took on water and sank too. Still loved it
Thanks to this video i completed my water moccasin. Please don't forget to review the Mauler. Thanks
One of my all time favorites, if not not my favorite from my childhood
I'm wanting to build a real 1:1 scale water moccasin. It's my plan to have it built within the next four years.
Awesome 👏
i borrowed one from a kid in high school, took it home filled up my tub,and watched it float, loved the color scheme on this thing!!

Love the vehicle
always the best GI Joe vids

My very first G.I.joe vehicle and it was a Cobra !🔥💯
"A heart full of gimmie, a mouth full of much obliged" probably means he acts honest and polite and is a thief at heart.
Flat bottomed boats you make the copper heads go round
I have that exact same problem with my water moccasins too
It would make a great tattoo!
One of my All-time favorite vehicles and for nostalgic reasons also one of my favorite figures as well! Thank You for these uploads
Great review of the Cobra Moccasin and it's pilot Copperhead. 1984 Definitely was a good year for Hasbro's G.I. Joe line.
One of my favorite characters. I always ended up putting Copperhead (as well as Croc Master and Crystal Ball) with my Dreadnok contingent. Seemed more at home there.
Your reviews are great for research and reference purposes. I'm looking at a Mocassin on eBay and this video was very helpful.
Was there ever a comic appearance of Copperhead? I thought I remembered from the 25th anniversary that Shipwreck and Copperhead fought.
Copperhead always looked like he'd fit in well in a Mad Max movie.
Water Moccasin was how my Dreadnoks got around. Zartan had his swamp skier, Copperhead transported Ripper Buzzer and Torch. That green kinda matches later vehicles that the Dreadnoks used also.
I think 1984 may be the best ever year for GI JOE.
Jason Luttrull 84 and 85 👍
It's up there. I have every carded figure from that year.
1984 was the series that I got nearly everything from that year.

"That sounds like a very down-home folksy saying and I have no idea what it means..!" 😂😂😂😂😂
These hover was also on Tiger force as G.I Joe in 92 in Poland ...
That's the version I had. Tiger Force Tiger Shark.
My storage covers have the same issue. Excellent review!
I had this one. Loved it.
Mine has same problem with cargo covers.
I loved this vehicle when I was a kid. The torpedo thing was a real nuisance, though. I kept falling off, so I ended up keeping it in what my dad called my "box of tricks", where I kept all the spare parts.
11:23. I guess 788 never saw a "Swiss Seat" climbing harness.
Pieced two broken ones to get one water moccassin. Its foot pegs for passengers are snapped off but it will have to do
This was my very first Gi joe vehicle as a child. I still have it in storage somewhere.
+Thor13332 That's a good one to start with!
you have the connection bar for the steering vanes on wrong. look at the instruction manual again, if you don't believe me. it goes inwards not outwards.
The light green gloves version is Copperhead, the dark green gloves version is a trooper. At least in my head canon.
I wonder if g.i. joe has access to touchscreen devices?
Mine sank too. I always seemed to lose accessories in the turret. I also had the shark.
My as well
yep same issue with compartments on Water Moccasin
Gosh I remember having this ☺💯
Copperhead is a great figure, thanks for the review.
I still have that vehicle and the figure my aunt would give me shit for buying toys at 15 but I didn't care its my life and I can buy what I want.
Tattooine77 Yeah, Tattooine77's aunt! It's a free country! FREEDOOOMMMMM!!
My grandparents were the same way now I have a house full of GI Joe star wars star trek my moms aunt lived in Jenks OK
I always thought the Water Moccasin was a good match up for the Devil Fish.
I was thinking that too lol
best counterpart for this vehicle
Love that old commercial at the end, I remember that one!
Tikifire's Retro Clubhouse There were a lot of new figures introduced in that commercial, too. It was a big one for 1984!
i thought u were a bit rough on poor ole copperhead there..lol! this was an excellent toy honestly...in retrospect the great folly here is having it so specific to shallow/swamp waters but as a kid i didnt notice that. this was the premier water attack vehicle for cobra in my eyes...be it swamp, river, or open seas!!!!!

Pretty cool review. I always thought it was a cool Cobra vehicle.
Tikifire's Retro Clubhouse 1984 was great for water vehicles! And for some reason, Cobra wanted to be well-equipped for swamp battles.
Don't knock his S&M underwear. It's a little known fact that Copperhead won the New Orleans Men of Leather in 1981. Not sure why they left that off the file card.
Cool! I have his file card but not the figure!
The clear plastic on the missle is deceptive. make it looks like its a sled. maybe they knew kids imagination would let them use it as both?
I nabbed my variant copper head for $10 back in 2007.
I paused at 2:36 to look this logo up for a tattoo idea. 😆
I forgot about that torpedo. I don't even know if it is still attached to mine.
On my water moccasin, one of the side covers fits perfectly fine and the other feels like it shouldn't fit and tends to fall off
That's cool you left the LANE name sticker. For me, it instantly says, ooh, what's this toys history? What's Lane's story
Tulsa? I'm from Bartlesville, buddy. I enjoy these vids.
I never had any issues with the side covers
i just had the pp copper head I'm hoping to get me a 1 version down the line on ebay
I actually made an advanced file card for ol' Copperhead 😉
cool looking vehicle , but needs missiles and more guns and needs a more powerful, engine
This is probably my all time favorite GI Joe toy. Still got it! I need to find a way to re-attack the swivel gun, it broke off back in the day.
Chrid
steering vanes are very brittle, much like the STUN flags
Good review, neat toy but it looks a bit too undersized for the scale of the figures, Water Moccasin gunner is too exposed in turret, driver sits too high to be fully enclosed in cockpit. This needed to be fixed before store release IMO but pretty cool for what is was in '84.
The water moccasin is a cool vehicle, but I always thought the scaling was off. It should have been 25% bigger.
Are you going to review anymore comics? I really enjoyed them.
I'd like to, but I've just been too busy. I recently started a new job, and there is no way I could fit in a weekly comic book review. I enjoyed doing the Comic Book Wednesdays, so I'll look for a way to get back to then-- but probably not soon.

Tulsa Law? Do you live here in OK?

Copperhead...damn voice type!
