Finished the restoration and I ride her every weekend I even more love her now,so much power and sounds really good… luckily my original rectifier still holding strong. Check out the last vid or her starting.
Yes it was... but everything is in original so I am going restore it. Sorry I haven’t posted any update on gs1000 for a while. Just busy with other bike but I will soon.😁

So did you work out why it didn't start the first time? You jusr cleaned/ replaced everything.
I believe that it was just contact issue, I changed the spark plugs, clean carb, checked ground and all contacts and it started right up.
These is with rolon flying bearings on crank high quality
I surprised it started with no air box
Oh yes I had to block the intake to start it...
was turning over fine , first check spark then fuel , why would you do anything else
