- After an incredibly close series between BLG and G2, I spoke with Yike to share more insights on the heartbreaking loss.
Full interview here: www.esports.ne...
Despite the loss, G2 was able to put up a great show against one of the top teams in the world. While the LEC is without a team in the top 8 yet again, EU fans should be proud as the team was likely much closer to the top Eastern teams.
man yike has become a beast since last eyar, he was outperformed by nrg and crying in interviews, idk what is growth if not that
also tell miky that if he wants to leave, he needs to train a successor
I have bad news for you xD
@@Rage0413 I cant believe this shit man, part of me is like bring in jankos and perkz support for the lulz but the sad part is that there are no children running and laughing in the corridors of g2 headquarters anymore, carlos at home crying, whimpering that the matrix attacked him, wunder saying res pls in wow, idk, maybe the soul of g2 is finally leaving its body
last year it was none a dem but this year we nearly beat all a dem, next year we win for sure
if you cant beat them in swiss stage you wont beat them after for sure, no point in g2 going to quarters if the gap its that big
to be fair the gap definitely wasnt very big
Thats not really how it works. Most teams usually end up ramping up as the event goes on, you do also have to remember the asian teams came to EU as late as possible so scrimming them wasnt much of an option either, maybe as the event goes on G2 could have scrimmed some asian teams to have a genuine challenge besides FLY. Not to say they would have definetly won since asians also massively ramp up, but I think the first stage of quarters would have been easily doable.
@@holo8955 yep. the gap wasnt "that big" by any means between G2 and anyone they played against (except for pain, but its the wrong way around) and G2 improves fast. one week more to practice could be crucial
@@holo8955hard agree, it’s so sad to see teams with potential to ramp up and discover new ways of playing/winning get eliminated early
@@yihadistxdl951 the gap was absolute huge to the point even peanut decide to have some fun in his pick
