Yeah same, I love wrestling up but it does seem like there’s a higher potential for knee injury’s if they sprawl hard on you before you’ve squared up and got to both knees
I went to his wrestle camp and he told us that he injured his meniscus before the fight, and it just re-locked during one of the wrestle up because he tucked his leg really fast. So not really because wrestle ups are dangerous but just because of a preexisting injury
Lachlan's breakdowns are the best of the best
Will be very interesting to see if Nicky can get any of this working against JT, very excited for the match tonight
Would have really loved to hear Lachlan comment on the fact that Nicky tore his Meniscus by his trip/scoop with his lower leg on one of his takedowns

@@gamelgaytabi2652 that was Nicky Ryan saying that?
Very good analysis.
That HQ counter was smooth af
Thanks!
Was it the double leg come up on 1:44 that caused the initial meniscus tear? That leg contortion combined with Dante’s post leg strength seem weird
Ya that was it
Brilliant analysis - Many thanks! (Bought your K-Gard BJJF content - enjoying it and adding to my game. So double thanks!)
If you're not watching all the Lachy vids you're really missing out

Happened like 1.5 years ago
Oh hell yeah
In the demonstration, Isn't there the danger of his opponent getting the kimura (or at least the grips) on his right arm?
