Beautiful series of imagery works, this give me an entry to Zvyagintsev's film, very intrigued, also well edit with good music of choice! Also I love the style of your thumbnails
Thank you very much , I really love his works , but mostly (The Banishment) (Изгнание) has a special place for me because of the strange and terrific story & the acting level especially the role of (Alex) by (константин лаверненко) and the soundtrack was remarkable and fits the whole story and the scenes , so really thnx for this great tribute ,but you know i wish if you used (Exilium) Deus 2 from (The Banishment Soundtrack) , but thnx anyway i’m sorry for bothering you with my opinion !
Every filmmaker is or at least strives to be unique ceylan and zvyagintsev were the influence of Tarkovsky on their sleeves just Tarkovsky wore his on his but it is offensive to these artists if you only refer to them as different versions of one another
That's a bold claim. I've seen Loveless, The Return and Leviathan, and while they're great movies on their own (especially The Return), they simply aren't on the level of Tarkovsky. At best he's a student trying to emulate the master, and failing at it. Really, in a way you do a great disservice to Zvyagintsev by comparing him to Tarkovsky.
I feel like he touches on the craft of Terrence Malik, he's right up there. Like I said on a comment, to be at the level of Tarkovsky, you do have to be in a different realm to this while you write, make, film, edit the film.
For me the movement of the camera at times feels ....."dull" ... He's amazing, but i do believe to reach Tarkovsky level, you need to be IN ANOTHER REALM DIFFERENT FROM THIS ONE. He's much closer to Terrence Malik in my opinion

don't ever forget about the cinematographer who immensely captured the feeling of the story. DOP: Mikhail krichman
In my opinion, he is more like Kubrick overall. The script, the detail, the metaphors, the cleaness of each shot, everything is there for a reason.
I love your video , really what a great tribute 🔥 , Thnx ❤️❤️❤️
JAG, you are right.
His musical choices are different, but very appropriate.
Fue hermoso
Gracias por compartirlo
What a director!
I remember when I saw his movie The return.... It just hit me hard
El mejor director vivo.
Beautiful❤️❤️
New (copy) on the surface? Sure 👌
New (new) on the inside, the heart? It was Abbas Kiarostami for me 😊
I wish Tarkovsky was able to see this
Wow, what a beautiful comment.

Ceylan is actually a new tarkovsky
Yeah, i really like his work
@@justanotherguywithacamera6978 I like to recommend the oscar nominee film of 2020, the disciple.
He is not a believer like tarkovsky,we can se the mysticism so stongly in tarkovsky movie but in ceylan's mostly realistic nit mystic

question is do we want another copy of Tarkovsky or Fellini?
NON
Aleksei German or Zulaswki for me, Tarkovsky is too special to replicate, hard and difficult to achieve.
Which film was that last shot from?
The Banishment
