I just bought a Civivi Qubit, it has a very thin blade, too. Listed as 0.09, but it tapers towards the tip, and it's a tall blade with a full flat grind, so very thin behind the edge. I like thin blades. Since my knives don't get any hard use, I prefer them to slice as good as possible.
Yea the Qubit has come up in conversation in my comments quite a bit lately. I passed by one many times but yea, am hearing repeatedly that its quite the great slicer. I think that other knife should be waiting downstairs at my condo today lol so im going to pick it up and do a video on it later
Really nice sampling of thin knives. Love that ExPadre! I want one but haven’t been lucky or fast enough yet. Do you have an Artisan Ahab? That’s a cool thin knife that is budget friendly. Take care.
@@davidcoats1037 hey, yea I have seen it before but looking at it again it looks very appealing now with my newfound interest in thin blades! If you see one in future videos it may because of your reminder. Love going through artisans back catalog because they have some wild/ridiculous designs if you go back in time. But yea the ahab looks amazing, may have to get one. And thankyou, also regarding the X padre, maybe consider getting one of the compadres as they are basically a scaled down version of the original frame lock version, still have the satin and stonewashed ones in stock on their website. Cheers anyhow buddy
Just checked its status, seems that its just touched down and is being processed at customs. A few people have asked already but I was going to wait to do a video on it first (from a brand new knife company that just appeared out of nowhere). Will hopefully do a video on it tomorrow or the day after at the latest with all the relevant info
