    Great work, so far. I’m super interested to see this car come together. Passed the shop today but didn’t have time to stop because I had to hustle to the Stevens Creek Porsche to get a couple parts for my car. Looking forward to the next video!

    You were able to do what Matt couldn’t and pull the dash off without a major project. That probably saved you a week of work right there.

      Probably learned what to do from Matt..

    Another really great video. I love these types of videos and it gives me the confidence (enthusiasm) to do basic automotive DIY! Keep up the good work, hope it pays off in the end - both the car and the YT channel!

    It's amazing to see how much engineering and design go into these vehicles. Makes it easier to justify the pricing of these cars!

      Thank you! There is A LOT more to come. Just wait for the next two videos as removing the front end is a massive task...

    Lighting is fantastic, really good. See if you can lock the focus point on the camera for the timelapse though. You made removing the dash look so easy !

    So glad I found your channel. I was going to comment about how you didn’t pull the windshield, but you made pullin’ that dash look easy.
    I am your newest, biggest fan!

    • @responsemotors
      @responsemotors  Рік тому +2

      I thought hard about pulling the windshield, but when you see the upcoming episode where I start to remove the front of the car and grind off the seam sealer, you'll see why I kept it in!

    Seeing lots of bolts going on the floor.. messing with my OCD. I hope you got baggies for all these. 😂

      Oof you got OCD? That’s a very serious condition, good luck to you man

    • @responsemotors

      Everything is bagged and tagged! I mostly spare you guys my OCD where I clean the floor after every take and then bust out the sharpie and ziplock bags to catalog everything.

    Love these videos! Side note.. I'm located pretty close to response motors, can I have the Porsche crest on the bad airbag? LOL

    Great videos. How can people treat such expensive cars so poorly? The interior of this low mileage, near new GT3 is in worse shape than my 8 year old car with 10 times the miles!

      It’s probably dusty and dirty from sitting at Copart and from the employees of Copart entering and exiting the vehicles in dirty clothes

    • @responsemotors
      @responsemotors  Рік тому

      Tell me about it! The fine people of Copart put the broken radiators and some shredded aluminum from the front end onto the custom GT3 bucket seats!

    So you go in detail how you can disconnected The airbag in the air conditioner and heater, but didn’t say a word on how you disconnect behind the dash???

    • @responsemotors
      @responsemotors  Рік тому +1

      There is nothing to disconnect other than the steering shaft! All of the connectors are on the side by the fuse panels. I admit I glossed over it a bit, but you can see me unplug them. Honestly popped off the HMI unit was the most difficult part of pulling the dash.

    This is cool. I replaced the front tub on a 981 cayman S with a 718 gt4 tub - obviously not the same as cutting the whole front end off - but appreciate what you have taken on with this build. @tussik01 was one of my original inspirations incase you havent seen his work
