$285 Good GOD!!!! Hard pass!!!! Anything over $99 for some basic sheet steel is ridiculous! Hell you can make this out of injected molded plastic and sell it for 50 bucks and still make a hell of a profit
Worth every dollar! Im currently using the 3500 predator model with their expansion tank in the palmetto, FL area that was hit hard from hurricane Milton. I filled it before the hurricane hit and while everyone is scrambling for gas its been running strong keeping the fridge cold and the portable a/c unit going for 2 days now and i haven’t had to worry about running out while sleeping or being away from the house helping neighbors. So happy i bought this to support a local company but also the fact its a great quality tank like the guy said will probably out last the generator itself. Highly recommended this to my family and friends, great product!
Won’t work for me, ‘cause my generator is right at my limit to lift. Plus, I need the handles unobstructed. But what a wonderful idea for those that it will work for! Maybe a bit pricey, but you have to pay two prices for everything today.
This seems awesome. I'm thinking of getting a Predator 5000. But it looks like these things block the fuel gauge? Is there another way to tell how much fuel is remaining without taking the whole thing off? Especially here in FL, during Milton, there was no gas anywhere, and I ran out.
Looks to me like you could shut the generator down, remove the filler cap on the aux tank and take a look to see if the tank is empty. Refill and go again. During my outage after Beryl, I kept notes and figured out I was getting about 2 hours runtime for gasoline and propane on my generator. That helped to guesstimate how long it would run before needing a refill/swap. 8 days total (192 hours of runtime).
Well Im sure some Chinese company some day will. But then it’s up to us to support American made. Everyone wants American made products and well here it is 👍🏼

Is it really that difficult to go out and refuel it every 8-12 hours? I don't know the run time on those specific generators but all of mine last somewhere in that 8-12 hour range at 50% load.

There are a lot of marine fuel tanks that could do this task. Anywhere from 6 to hundreds of gallons.
I use propane. Easier to store and use. This looks like a good idea for those using gasoline but the price point seems a bit high.
Not a bad idea at all if your generator isn’t dual fuel.
If it’s dual fuel just use propane. So much easier and cheaper.

Doubles the original tank of the unit from what it says on web site. So if your unit is 2.6 gallons then it will be that size.
Why don’t you just take a 6gal boat gas tank and put the fuel hose from the boat tank on the carb of the geny
