One of the Greatest Allman shows of all time! Watch the whole thing for real, Dickie and Jack are both on FIRE - they are killing it. Unbelievably Perfect Show
My buddies and I made a road trip to this show.......parking lot action was a killer party vibe......Allmans absolutely killed this show......crowd was dancing all night......Jack and Dickey were on fire! Great time and an even better memory! Miss those Allman days!!!!!! “ Boston is Rocking Tonight”
All of the guitarists that contributed to the Allman's had their own personal merit, IMHO the Warren and Derek years were top notch, I sorely missed Dickey, and loved Jack, I would've loved to see him with Warren or Derek or all three of them... and can NEVER forget Dangerous Dan! RIP Gregg you left a legacy that will never be forgotten!!!
I attended this show along with all the others at Great Woods , Tweeter Center, Comcast’s Center, & then Xfinity Center. So many fabulous memories from outside the show as well inside. I remember they broadcast this show in its entirety the following nite on WZLX Bostons classic rock station. I recorded it on cassette tape and couldn’t put a finger on how many times I replayed that show. The pinnacle was going backstage at the Zeitainian theater in New Bedford in 2010 and having the honor of meeting Gregg along with Jay Collin’s, Jerry Jemmott, Bruce Katz, and Scott Sharrard . Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I had the pleasure of hitting backstage on New Year’s Eve 2010-2011@ Twin River Casino in Lincoln Rhode Island. The party may be over but, the memories linger on forever. Best damn band Eva!
In my humble opinion the Allman Bros with Jack Pearson was hands down their best lineup after Duane was taken from us. They were on fire for this performance
I agree, heard Jack pull some stuff off of fillmore east while playing, an I thought Dickey never did those licks, but man Pearson no problem,so I aguired those shows & so glad I did. Hes such a humble person which madehim a perfect fit for the brothers.
If you’ve ever seen and heard Jack Pearson play up close, then you’ve felt the way he takes over and leads the band while he’s soloing. It’s a thing of beauty. Quintessential lead guitar.
Stateboro Blues is the quintessential Duane Allman slide guitar anthem. Jack does a killer version of it, both honoring Greg and instilling his own artistry. Not an easy thing to do, but he absolutely nails it.
I saw this lineup at the Beacon theater.....Jack could swing just like Duane.....great lineup.... I'm old enough to have seen Duane play three times before he passed......Jack was the closest to Duane in his ability to swing out of all the guitarists to try and fill his shoes.....

Three times!” They we’re hugely popular in the Boston area in the 90s. Very fortunate to have seen many ABB shows from ‘92-‘05. The Jack Pearson shows were very underrated indeed.
Couldn’t agree more! Outside of the original ABB line up, this is my favorite. Such a terrible shame Jack’s tinnitus forced him to leave. On a couple of the closeups, you can see his earplugs that he tried to use. He and Dickie were soooo good together! ✌🏻
@@Craig_Fussell And it's too bad Dickey wouldn't turn it down and/or let the PA system put out some of his sound. Dickey's excess stage volume was a real sore point for several of the band members. It drove Jack out of the band and eventually contributed to Dickey's being kicked out of the band. Jack discusses his problem with Dickey's volume, very diplomatically, in a couple UA-cam interviews.

Hey all, I watched this again late last night. I always love their acoustic set! I noticed that Marc Q. was adding some vocal harmony as they closed out the acoustic set. Really cool!
Jack Pearson is by far the most underrated/unknown musician that I'm aware of. He has such command of the guitar. Every time I've seen him play it's like water effortlessly flowing into an Elysian wellspring of aural sublimity.
This was my last Allmans show. I refused to see them after Jack left. Not because they would be better or worse, just because I wanted to remember them like this!❤
@@MDavidG1 You guys missed an awful lot of good music. Not real open minded. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are amazing musicians. You should give them a listen.
