Thank you amazing results, Do you still interface/ stabilize this for zipper pouches or boxy bags? lined bags, using printed canvas as a panel, want to mix with quilt cotton, etc.
What an amazing results it's shocking. Thank you for these tips.
thanks for the info what about printing on a standard printer I am having a hard time with blacks printing correct versus looking faded.
Thank you so kindly. Love this video. 😀
Can you please guide about the name of fabric. Thanks
Can you tell us what the one that didn’t sublimate so well was so that even when I’m trying other fabrics I can avoid that one? Where was it purchased please?
Thank you for this video.
Hi, I ordered from your suggestion 100% Polyester. It feels more like vinyl. I sublimated pictures on it and they seemed to melt right into the ? I can't peel them off. Can you give me an idea of what I might have done wrong. Thanks, I did 400 degrees for 60 seconds.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi lorrie, the otter waterproof canvas you show in your video I don't believe is what there sending you I use it for my purses it's way thicker then what it looks like in your video it's supposed to have a backing on it.
Interesting. That’s what I ordered. I just looked at their website and ottertex comes in various weights. Perhaps you have a heavier version than I have. Ottertex rip stop 100% polyester does come in 6.6oz and then there’s ottertex waterproof canvas fabric that I have linked which is 4.8 oz. I’m curious now. I will order some from some place else and compare
Hi Lorrie, thanks for sharing, it seems as though the canvas/poly weight, would be great for outdoor or thicker weight projects, since it is part canvas. Have you come across a thinner polyester fabric for clothing or hair accessories that would just as vibrant? I hope you understand my question?
It’s really not thick at all. It’s water resistant but not plastic feeling. I would probably lean toward a blend fabric for clothing. If it’s something like a hair scrunchie that isn’t going to be washed a lot i think a blend would do fine
I would love to make my own panels for bags or pouches. Looking for like a broadcloth type fabric. High poly content obviously is a want, and then finding said fabric in white. Any suggestions for that?
I do use ottertex waterproof canvas for lining my bags….is this that material?
Lorrie, would this fabric work for machine appliqué embroidery? If so, would you still need heat n bond on the back?
The fabric I have yes it would work for applique (that’s what I was making it for) and I would recommend putting heat n bond on it. That being said I see another viewer said their ottertex fabric is much thicker than what I have shown here in the video. I have linked what I ordered but I’m hoping they sent me what I ordered.
How much ink do they use, ink is pretty expensive or have you found a reasonable ink source?
The amount of ink used varies as to what size you’re printing, how saturated the colors are, etc. I use only sawgrass ink in my printer.
Sublimates great but feels and smells like plastic and is very stiff.
