He sort of should be. He’s already 25 and will turn 26 next month. The Dodgers pitching prospects are not necessarily young. Knack, Ryan, Stone, Miller, Sheehan, Wrobleski are all in their mid 20’s at least. Dodgers don’t need anybody other than get healthy. We go with what we got. The Dodgers of past always wasted the good pitchers in the regular season. Look what happened to Kershaw and Gonsolin and May and Urias. What’s the point of winning 106 games or more then lose in the first round.
Did you say the same thing when he got Darvish, Machado, Scherzer and Turner? @ the deadlines? The big names usually don’t get moved until deadline day.
I like what I see in the rookie starting pitchers. I rather them add a quality arm in the bullpen and move Mookie to the outfield. Platoon the SS position and 3rd base with Rojas, Ahmed, Keke and Taylor.
For Muncy, it’s only work for him is a DH in any team. Younger years as a infielder yeah but now not anymore. We have a decent DH right now and that’s Othani. No option for Muncy is to play infielder like 3rd base or sitting him out. So if I’m the Dodgers, I think it’s better for the team to trade him, for a player that can hit above .250 - .280 average and have a better defense than Muncy.
Friedman is cooking blanks, cus they won't be making any significant acquisitions to move the needle. Another bust trade deadline will be like the Lakers offseason
One big arm Dodgers should have gone after that was next door to them was the closer for the Angels. Phillies swooped him up and got better. This trade deadline is a weird one because too many teams still in it and not too many above average players available. After Crochet put his demands in, I think the best options would be Flaherty, Rengifo for 3b and Kopech from White Sox for the pen.
Honestly, I don't know what to expect when the team needs basically some of everything at this point. It really hurt losing Freddie this series but I wish little Max a swift recovery--not just cause we need his dad back, but it sounds like an awful illness. Poor kid. With an off-season that looked so bright, it's crazy how decimated this team is with injuries AGAIN this year. They're staying afloat like always, but it's tough, and it doesn't feel like it's going to get better no matter what is said.
Missed Paredes and Arozarena. What the heck! What’s left is IKF and Kichuchi. Beware of Crochet. Go for Flaherty if Skubal is not possible. Robert is OK but you need bat to ball skills in addition. Rendifo is Ok. IKF is another candidate.
@@LucasHiggins-pp3ntClearly you haven't seen the updates on max muncy. He's not progressing at all. Just don’t think there’s enough out there that’s available to make a move. The bigger moves are too complicated and Dodgers unfortunately have a tendency to be prospect huggers at this time of year (Scherzer/Turner deal notwithstanding)
First, the hell no's: No to Belli's and Rosario return. For sure no to DeJong! And I'd also say no to Rengifo, this year batting is kinda outlier and he's not a good defender, has a negative dwar (Muncy, who absurdly many fans whine about, has better dwar than Rengifo). And, at this point, I also tend to say no to Crochet, his "I won't pitch in the playoffs unless I'm economically covered from an injury but at the same time I shall remain a starter" BS might not be worth it.
i always tried to stay positive on the dodgers but i think the lack of aggressiveness durring the trade deadline is what hurt the dodgers chances of winning the world series

We’re so desperate that we wished that Rojas was healthy. 😂 He’s gonna provide a solid bat against Astros in the WS, if we get there? Ya’ll have been ignoring my warnings.
Once Mookie, Muncy, Yama, and WBC Ohtani gets healthy, Dodgers have a dream team. Right now, they are already WS favorites according to Vegas, ahead of the Phillies. No need to give away the farm.

As for the piggybacking, I'd use Kersh with River and Glasnow, Stone, Flaherty and Yamamoto (BIG IF) going alone.
