Excellent video; one of the best video reviews of a car I've come across.
Awesome engineering folks..... I highly recommend getting your hands on one of these last American Supercar Ford Shelby SVT GT-500 machines before they completely change the rules of of the game on performance and exclusivity. I am totally stoaked about owning this exceptionally exhilarating and dominating display of raw testosterone. All smiles, comments, and respect everytime I turn on the key.
My friend had a gt500, I love that feeling of my head hitting the headrest when he shifted gears... I freakin smiled every time I was in that car
Excellent Job Emme Hall as always.
i liked ur presentation and the sceneries where u test drive the car , looks cool .i do same job like u review and test drive cars.keep in touch!
Loved the review!! And smart comment at the end about LEARNING to drive a beast like this first . . .
Very responsible advice you gave at the 7:00 minute mark. Good stuff Emme!
best gt500 review
That engine sounds SO beautiful.
Miss Hall another great and honest review.
great review!
Sweet car, nice review
Amazing review
How can you be so accurate and funny altogether?
you are the fresh princess of bel air to me lol
Love your reviews, very instructive and real, good tips, good advice, even though I disagree with some of your preferences, you always show both sides and not just your particular taste aaaaaand I respect what you said about the convertible in this particular case (calendar note posted) love and hugs, shalom Emme.
i am so in love with this car!!
its cool to see a woman put more effort than a man in making a good car review video and also is cool knowing that she read all the specs and memorise it for the video belove me or not some of the other car reviews just talk about how bad are the brakes when they actually are great almost perfect for a heavy muscle car.
keep the great car reviews and i support and im subscribing asap.
Love that exhaust...
Good Job Emme Hall =)
Great show! I love mustang gt500! Emma is funny
Nice vid! :-D
Nice recap of the 2013 Shelby Emme!
I've done 11.62 on the stock goodyear F1 tires..haven't tried slicks or drag radials yet, but I imagine at least a .5 second improvement (especially with slicks...might get into the tens with the only mod being tires:).
I would love love to get in the Challenger SRT8. Hell, even Ralph Gilles wants me in that car. But there is not a single Challenger, srt or no, in the press fleet here in DC. It totally sucks.

she is good!! keep up the good work
She is not lying, saw a guy near my house in one of these hit the gas going around the corner and the damn thing nearly ended up facing the other way. Monster.
How much better does the Boss 302 carve corners, isn't it basically the same rear suspension? Just wondering if it is that different from the GT500. Thanks.
i´ve heard several times that launching this GT500 in daily driving in city or heavy traffic could be frustrating ?
It tends always to spin the wheels even when the road is dry ? If so, how to drive this in wet conditions and than why this car is factory "street legal" ???
That is not true the car drives just like a normal car.. Just the difference is that u have all the power at ur disposal.. I have one and it works perfect
Ive driven a 2014 get 500 it's a thrilling ride
Emme i love you haha favorite person on youtube!
that super charger and intake filter is HUGE! , double screw right?
would you recommend this for a daily diver or no?
Emme Hall rocks!! Move over, Ross.
Does the drapes match the curtains?
That thing is a beast!!!
Can you reviews all car on the market Emme, your reviews are so funny and good!!!! Thanks
Is the car seat a genuine seat or a bucket seat?
A car that comes with a disclaimer...haha thanks Emme...
That supercharger has a inter cooler ?
I absolutely love Emme!! The car is badass too. Keep up the great reviews!!
They generally are mid 11 second cars. Run anywhere from an 11.5 and up depending on the driver.
How is the Boss 302 smaller? Aren't they the same size? They're both Mustangs. Please explain.
How about a comparison with the boss 302 and the camaro ss 1le
how is the boss smaller? did i miss something?
You said it exactly correct. You need to respect the car. Also like the recommendations at the ending. Hopefully there won't be a youtube video of someone destroying the car due to lack of driver skill. But I sorta doubt it.
The original Cobra Shelby was a convertible!! A four seat massive muscle car with the top down is the only way to go!!
I can really picture this GT500 getting compared to a Corvette ZR-1. Does Roadfly do comparison tests reviewing two cars against each other?
incorrect hall ! the gt500 was quicker around the Nuremberg ring than the boss 302 and smaller tracks
I wonder if could beet the RS-5 or the new RS-7 by Audi. Or the Caddy V-series with a 6.2 V8
What did u do with emme...no convertible....what have u done
Clever cut when you opened that hood. It's tricky to get that lever under there huh.
Hi what kind of place or conpony would meet me at a track or something with thus car and teach me before I buy I live in CA
So, here is my question.. How come you guys haven't tested the srt8 challlenger yet? You guys have the charger, viper, shelby and camaro. Whats up with that? And the last corvette is at least 2 years old.
the car has to be on to charge phone in USB but don't need to be on if charging with the 12vlt port on dash
Dynometers all over the country have gotten at this car's true power at pretty much the stock advertised bhp. It truly is the best Mustang ever created by Ford. Now, about that solid beam axle...
Every one should have a Shelby GT500. I have a 2011 and although it doesn't have the extra 100 horses or the track package it is a blast to drive. 550 up front and 495 at the rear wheels is pretty respectable. The newer Shelbys with 700 and 1000 hp is nuts. Unless you're going to track your car nobody needs that kind of power. I do laping days a couple times a year at two local tracks 495 is plenty for me.
Whatever. I read a lot of comments from haters and wannabe GT500 owners. So I loved her review and I DO own this GT500 as a 2014 model. It is a beast! I give her a lot of credit for driving it. And here's an idea, I don't want some vanilla looking chick review my car. Wild is fine by me.
i thought she was referring to current production v8's on the market?
What's a vett and what's a comaro?
Is that RAM intake stock?
Whats the mpg??
Gotta do more than pinch the pennies. With 2015 around the corner and the rumored restyling... I've heard that they Shelby's engine is going to be retired because it just won't fit.
The one thing I worry about the vast opening of the front-end. I could see daily drivers installing a filter to help block bugs, rocks, and pretty much anything the size of a small deer from being eaten. I had to install a filter for my RX-8's oil coolers as they were out, too.
Thank you Emma. You always do great job introducing cars. I like the way you express your idea. Keep up your good work and looking forward to more of your reviews
I own a 2011 gt and I now have it at 560hp and the live rear axle isn't as bad as she makes it out to be.
Who picks your outfits?
agreed. prob a cost difference during production.
Plasma bore coating is a plating technique for the cylinders.
theres a couple videos of it doing 197 mph, but you are correct car and driver did state that
i see this car everyday at my work. the one i have here is over 70K! its fully loaded. even has the glass roof :)
When Car and Driver tested this car, they stated that this car would never do 202 MPH. They stated that at 184 MPH it was pulling 0.001 g's in acceleration. In other words, it would take a LONG time to do 200 MPH. Now don't go jumping over me because I'm "dissing" the GT500, I'm just restating information.
This car is getting into the Corvette price range. Curious to see how a base C7 will compared to this.
Probably high 10's with slicks only. I've done many 12.20 pass with my Boss 302 on drag radial on a hot 96 degrees summer day. Considering your car have 218 more hp that would be plausible. And with bolt-ons only your car is in the 9.80
I love your video! But what about the king of cars? GT-R?
she is a good reviewer i think, and ive seen a lot of reviews...
Another great review Emme. Thanks
emme why do u want the hardtop?!?!?!?!
thats when cars were the best. they had passion and personality. now alot of cars feel like ur not the one driving.
To change the iconic, lauded vehicle.
Ending it with the exhaust geniusc
@Emee Hall GT500 does have most power full production V8 in the world,That title goes to Koenigsegg Agera R which produces 1100 bhp!!!
The track and performance package is not bad, but you can do A LOT better with the aftermarket. Also, if you prefer drag racing, which most muscle car people do, those two packages are worthless. A set of drag radials or slicks will do you much better.
I'd buy a 2013 or 2014 GT500 if I could find one with no options, or maybe with recaros, but it's so hard to do so. All I find is cars with ALL options. :(
I'm so glad Emme got to review this!!
My 5.0 came with slime and a patch kit maybe shelby is different
Love it! Thanks Emme great review...
Damn I don't know wtf to get I might get the gt500 or a 67 Camaro or a 70 nova but if I get a Chevy I'm going to ether drop a 427 in it with a 4l80e 4 speed overdrive transmission in it or a 572 with the 4l80e but the only thing about the mustang is its complete but then agin it would be fun to build a car for myself damn this is a hard choice
MUST GET. Alright, I've got a new incentive to study hard in school.
Is it sexist if I ask how the back seat was ?
Emme is NOT my usual type of girl but I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked her in this review!!!! More Emme please!!! I subscribed. Ross is excellent too :-)
Plasma transferred wire arc (PTWA) thermal spraying is a thermal spraying process that deposits a coating on the internal surface of a cylinder, or on the external surface of a part of any geometry. It is predominantly known for its use in coating the cylinder bores of an engine, enabling the use of aluminum engine blocks without the need for heavy cast iron sleeves. wiki
Yea, what venom5809 said, a guy had an older model of one of these in red, with a little rain on the road, he hardly touched the gas and it swung around like no ones business.
i like how she said it started at 52000 and on the screen it said 54000 at 6:50
You do not need to buy slime. The air pump in the trunk comes with an inflate a tire foam that is refillable.
except for drag racing, this car is an insane purchase
This is not lazy engineering, it is keeping the car affordable! How much does any car with comparable power and speed cost?
@2;40 Emme said...."it's like the interior of every American car i've been in..."
you mean the back seat?
cool car, cool presenter
I'm saving for a CTS-V coupe bout the same price, And it's lookin like a few years at this rate LOL!
despite the ZL1 weighing more with less power, this Shelby can hardly keep up. Wish they found a way to get all that power to handle better.
6:55 She says starts at about $52K but luckily the written numbers make you think she says the correct price.
Plasma Transferred Wire Arc Bore Coating: PTWA Imagine a thermal scotch guard for a freshly bored engine using high pressure, plasma arcs and the timing of a kung fu master. It eliminates the use of bore sleeves that are made of cast iron.
She's as giddy as a schoolgirl... lol
Absolutely adorable!
