How Hard is it Obtaining Pokémon Games?
Вставка

- With so many new Pokemon players being brought into the series, I'm sure that because they started out in playing the Switch titles they have at least thought about playing the older titles. That thought comes with getting your hands on consoles and cartridges. How difficult is it in todays day in age to acquire those things? Let's talk about that. Enjoy!

Strongly recommend 😁
man I haven't seen you in YEARS. It was very nice to see you in my recommended feed today.
Good to see you, don’t be a stranger!
Production is actually pretty good for such a small channel with such little views, great job!
Thank you!
This makes me glad I got Pokémon Black 2 for $80.00. It was a lot of money sure but I can’t imagine how expensive it might’ve been today. Old Pokémon games are ridiculous in price nowadays.
Not bad considering the inflation!
I loved it when they made gen 1 and gen 2 available for download on the 3ds, was and still hoping they do the same for FRLG on the switch. But like every other game developer, whenever they do something cool or introduce a great feature they just never do it again.
I’m hoping to see this improved over the course of time. Having the later titles on Switch would be amazing.
I'd make some adjustments to your recommendations. For Gen 1 people can just track down Fire Red or Leaf Green, technically they're 3rd gen games but they're the definitive way to experience Kanto, same with Heart Gold and Soul Silver for Gen 2. Basically you only need to go as far back as a GBA if anything.
I agree that those remakes you named are better to play but as mentioned in the video, the purpose is to experience each generation as it was. Hence indicating not all remakes will be brought up.
Legacy Collections and Remakes are always the best answers to buy them :)
Remakes are good!
@@BigNation1 Yep and a Legacy Collection
Some of those prices are insane. And having gens 3-5 on switch would be awesome
Exactly.
I managed to get a Pokémon Pearl game for 35 but in compairison White was /80/ (which makes sense bc G5 wasn't bought as much as 4). I did manage to get a real emerald copy too, biggest problem hunting the cartridge era though is a lot of knock offs
Great to see you got Pearl for the correct price! Yeah be sure to always check the authenticity of the games you’re getting.
I'm well aware of it bro the ds and GameCube games r ridiculously expensive
A crime!
@BigNation1 ya, I'm so glad I got most of them while they were still at a decent price a few years ago
Thankfully I took advantage of the eshop to get the gen 1 and 2 games.
Awesome!
Emerald is that expensive?! The public has spoken! Gen 3 is the best!😂 I did get Pokemon Gold for free on PC back then and that was before emulators were created. Unfortunately it was japanese which caused me to doubt that it was pokemon until I saw a Rattata😂 Great video dude!
Interesting Gold lore. Yeah Gen 3 is pricy! Thanks for watching!
It's only Emerald that has the real crazy price tag. The 3rd versions usually didn't sell much because everyone had the previous versions already which means that it's expensive due to a lack of copies, not necessarily due to popularity.
@@dylangaletti395 Then why is it the only one at such a high price? In fact, Ruby and Sapphire are as expensive as some of the 3rd versions of other generations. Popularity, or the proper term: demand, plays a role in these prices.
@@primechamp7841 I'd have to disagree with you for a number of reasons. One being that the 3rd version is almost always being sold for a much higher price than the original versions of each generation, 3rd versions were also not produced on the same scale that the originals were, which inflates the demand due to a general lack of copies, also it depends on if we're talking full box or not, because a GBA game with a carboard box in good condition is likely going to cost you more than a plastic DS case would seeing as they are more difficult to keep in good condition. Loose copies on the other hand are a whole different story because Ruby and Sapphire are NOT selling for as much as a loose copy of Platinum for example.
Gen 5 wasn't a super popular generation from what I recall and both Black 1 and Black 2 loose still sell for more than a loose copy of Ruby or Sapphire and Gen 5 didn't even technically have a 3rd version, just a sequel. My overall point is that popularity has very little to do with the price, in comparison to all of the other factors that drastically effect the price. The less popular a game kinda actually helps push the price up due to the lack of avaliable copies.
@@primechamp7841 Don't get me wrong, I love Gens 3 and 4 the most. Emerald and FR+LG were fantastic, as was Platinum and HG+SS. Gens 3 and 4 basically gave us new games as well as the definitive ways to experience Gens 1 and 2, but there are just too many factors that effect prices to confidentially say that Gen 3 was most popular.
i bought emerald from ebay for 230 dollars and because it was a good seller it was a fairly easy process but yeah that is a lot of money but to me it is worth it
If you’re happy about it then that’s all that matters.
Excellent video big I think I got pokemon leaf green for £20
Not bad!
and on the switch are not that accessible either, legend was published a year ago but since it's a nintendo game will never get a discount, just look at mario nowadays costs as much as five years ago
than nintendo wonders why people emulation come one 70 dollars for a game 10 years old is absurd
I think I know what you’re trying to say but I don’t agree with the switch Pokémon titles not being accessible. SwSh and Let’s Go went down in price. Legends will do the same over the course of time.
