What stopped my stuttering was taking on a sales job that compelled me to knock on up to 300 doors each day and speak to many people. I excelled on the job and that led me to start my own business. Communication is the key.

k odu, I'm thinking you meant to say 300 doors per week? If I understand what happened correctly, the high number of engagements that you were forced to make on a weekly basis caused you to not value too highly each one...thereby, not putting too much concern upon any ONE person's opinion of you, but focussing much more on your delivery of effective communication. It's the improperly high priority of the opinions of others that impacts the tendency to stuttering--IMO. Valuing others highly is good, but everything has its limits and stuttering is the simple clue that we have gone too far!
All things work together for the certain good of those who love YHWH and His Torah.

Very interesting a few months ago, I decided that every prayer was going to be only thankful, no request or asking God for help or anything just giving him thanks. I did it for every prayer for a week. The first few prayers were hard, and I kept catching myself asking for something. By the end of the week, it was much easier to rattle off all the things I was thankful for and not once did I slip back into asking mode. Now for the last few weeks something has happened in my family, and I have decided to show God my determination and diligence by asking every day for the one thing I think will help my family. After two weeks I was so sick of asking that I started just praying for my thankfulness again. I could never have imagined the outcome of my own little personal goals.

I already practice gratitude every day but will now try writing it down. OPTIMISM: Gratitude is key
Success rate and attention rates were measured and found that optimism brings about desired results. Scripture has the answer to prosper. The ability to be optimistic all the time! Gratitude is the key to optimism! Have a private journal at the start of everyday 5- 10 mins in a quiet room and write down 5 things for which you are profoundly grateful! It will shape your entire day! This will effect your, health, and your mood! Do this everyday! Find 5 new things everyday! Everything changes when you write your thoughts down on paper do this for 30 days! Have the ability to fluently articulate your thoughts and ideals! To persuade and communicate effectively. The principle to multiply your fluency is to read aloud a good book! In three separate sittings for 30 minutes 3xs a week! Choose the right book! It’s a magical transformation! For a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks! Keep it up!

I always felt in my gut that capitalism was fundamentally good, but Rabbi Lapin’s biblical explanation really brought it home. He changes your entire perspective of what it means to “make money”. Instead of looking at it as a sign of greed it is rather a sign of virtue, you have to serve your neighbour, community - you have to provide value to other people in order to make money. Simple yet spot on.

Rabbi Daniel, I liked your advice on keeping a private simple notebook to yourself instead of using a computer or smartphone. That way you are protecting your ideas from eventually electronic thieves AKA hackers.

Great advice. My exhusband and l used to read the Bible to each other and things were great. When we stopped things began to change for the worst. I realized now, changing that behavior marked the beginning of the end.
I am so sorry to hear this. Yes, for a husband and wife to engage in a shared spiritual activity like Bible, prayer, or acts of compassion is powerfully effective in marriage unity and harmony. @Min. 12:47, Gratitude is reflective in Philippians 4:8, where Paul recommends thinking of things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and are of good report, of any virtue and of any praise, and is suggested for us to think on God's goodness which in essence would emit gratuitous feelings and point of view or personal actions in life.

Rabbi Lapin, I think you are SO AWESOME!!! I was particularly struck by the thought that identical twins having unique fingerprints is a sign of spirituality: that they have two spirits that are unique even though their bodies look alike. I think it is wonderful for God to give that sign of their uniqueness. I never knew that, I thought identical twins were identical down to their fingerprints! Identical aren't equal. Twins aren't equal. So as they differ in several things, their fingerprints will differ.
Psalms 1:1-3 calls the man that reads "God's law in an undertone day and night happy", "and everything he does will succeed" so we are going to be very optimistic, positive, capable of visualizing, in our minds we'll be able to calculate and built things or find the way through things and deduce things because of the powerhouse we're feeding thanks Jehovah God, the giver of all good gifts! It may be applicable to good books of which the Best, are in the Bible. But they're other specialized books that can help us specifically to do certain things.

I came across your teachings a few weeks ago while I was searching on youtube for Jewish nuggets on money and investment. I feel profoundly impacted. I come from a pentecostal background. Unfortunately we hear less of this and more of the prosperity gospel being preached.

I love your advice regarding television. I removed the television from my house in 1989 and began develop a relationship with God. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I raised my kids without a television and my kids are living their lives without a television. They are vibrant, healthy human beings who understand that the television is full of poisons for the mind.

Because (nothing against anyone) but they tend to understand roots, like explaining “serving 2 masters”, “the judgement seat”, “I’d rather you were hot or cold not lukewarm”, “talent” the list goes on... I find it extremely beneficial when I understand WHY a word or a phrase was used or said in the Bible. You do all this and much more....I was hoping to meet a Rabbi in person but you are right here in my house, live on UA-cam. I am going to keep watching and do as you suggest. Greatly appreciate your advice. In return I would like to give you something: Refrain from recording sound in "auto" mode. In auto mode the camera will pump the background ambience (aircon?) every time you pause in order to maintain dB at a preset level.Set the sound level manually before recording.
