I notice how the movie begins with Said opening his eyes as to suggest that he sees and chooses to be part of this world of hate and in the end when he closes his eyes you can ''see'' the sheer terror he feels and the consequences of opening his eyes onto this cruel world.
The way I see it, it's a loop. When Said closes his eyes at the end, if you replay the movie, he'll open them in the beginning. I think it's like an inescapable cycle of violence, that will repeat forever

last night there was a one-off screening in a theatre here in Sydney and it was absolutely packed out, not one seat left. I pulled in as many of my friends to see it as I could. this movie is timeless.
1:00 THIS, sir, right here is the most amazing shot. Firstly, awesome technique which incorporates both lensing change and focus pull(I may be wrong in the terminology of this) simultaneously. And, this is masterful way to present its important theme; Existential insignificance. It was literally like picking these three people out of the meaningless chaos of the place and using them as representations. Now, this is what you call smart film making.

In the middle of the movies they go in downtown paris, after the dolly zoom, the director shot them in long focal lens, which isolate them in the frame creating blur in the background thus illustrating the fact they dont belong in those rich neighborhoods.
The beauty of this channel is how it encapsulates the feeling and atmosphere of films without giving the viewer any hard context to what the movie is actually about.

I saw "La Haine" for the first time five years ago and it shook me to my core in the best possible way. I'd never seen anything like it and I truly haven't seen anything like it since. I loved Mathieu Kassovitz the actor when he starred opposite Audrey Tautou in "Amélie," but Mathieu Kassovitz the director is an entirely different beast altogether. Extraordinary film made exceptionally well.
Saw this for the first time ever today. Such a beautiful movie. As an American who loves hood movies i can say this is by far the best one I’ve ever seen. 10/10

Saw this movie just a couple minutes ago damn it was good. In my opinion it being grey instead of having color (Don´t remember the name for it) made it even better. One of the best movies I ever seen. And the cinema photography was beautiful especially the one at 1:00.

Whenever I watch one of your videos I always make a point of watching that particular movies trailer, and without wishing to blow smoke up your proverbial the studio made trailers just don't cut the mustard, but then again I wouldn't say what you do is just making a trailer because what you are actually making is art as well.
