Thanks a lot, man! I like your videos too and took some inspiration from them for my last video when I did the post-analysis. And yeah, Mardu is dope :)
The list is kinda similar with the one I run sometimes. The first comparison list is Snap Bolt list that I don't like too much, it's a Mardu Ephemerate and the second is the terrible Mardu Blade I tested and hated lol Wildfire is pretty much most times due to not depend on a rock to draw, and still replacing itself while ramping, and our deck is kinda mana hungry, so it does a lot.
Would you consider to swap 1 cast down for another thraben charm? This deck goes wide quickly and the graveyard hate can be really powerful in game one.
@@pietrofarina7150 Yeah, you could definitely give it a shot! I personally like how non-conditional Cast Down is and not having to worry about the opponent messing with the damage mode by removing my creatures in response. If you're seeing a lot of Terror, Dredge, or Affinity, Thraben Charm should be better. Against Gruul Ramp and Broodscale, I'd rather have Cast Down.
@@angelopaulovelasco2981 Someone else brought up Toxin too, so I'm starting to consider it. I think "combo" pieces like that are rough in Synthesizer decks because you can't always control the order with which you play your cards. It's also kinda difficult to support a playset of Krark-Clan Shaman in non-Affinity. I will say, as strong as Toxin can be in the right list, KCS often pulls enough weight on its own to be a blowout in the right matchups.
@@hansolomuore434 Hey, thanks for asking :) Breath Weapon has some anti-synergy with the deck since it clears out my board as well. For sweepers against mono-Red, Krark-Clan Shaman or End the Festivities are cheap (to play off of Synth), while still providing board wipes. I thought Krark and Navigator's Compass would be enough, but I can see siding a little more against Red.
@@OceanGotMotion Was that the physical cards? I have the list loaded up in Moxfield, and it's saying $82.25 in paper (through Card Kingdom) or an estimated 8.94 tix (1 tix is a dollar plus tax.) When I rented them last week, I think it was about 12 tix. When you buy real cards, they tend to have a higher price floor and will often be $0.25 plus per card, and you also have to pay shipping. On MTGO, a lot of the Pauper cards out there tend to be about $.03 on Cardhoarder. The MTGO and paper economy are also different because the cards have been printed in different quantities. For example, Boarding Party and Avenging Hunter are both around $10 per copy online but under $1 in paper.
Great explanation/flow and in 1 take to boot! Very impressive !
@@HexDrinkerMTG Thanks for your nice words! It may have been the tenth or so single take that I tried, but no need to focus on that one... 😅
@@RoyceCCG I feel your pain, fooled me though!
This video was so fun! Another video with either the same deck or updated would be awesome 👍😎
@@TheBowman241 Thank you! I'm working on getting some more good footage with Mardu. It should show up on the channel before too long :)
wow the value engine is nuts!
Right?! If I can survive long enough, I almost always have plenty of stuff to do.
Been loving all the videos! Have played this deck a bit recently and it's very fun

@RoyceCCG that's so awesome to hear! Glad youre liking the content.
38:30 You have Walls experience? I'd love to see a video on that!
@@lovelypotatoes I don't have the click speed to play Walls on MTGO, unfortunately. If I ever do paper videos or get way faster on MTGO, maybe!

Watching the vid, makes me wish you had some toxin analyses in maybe the sideboard.

hello, i just want to ask why you didn't have in your sideboard card like breath weapon for deck like mono red?
