Looks really nice. Always fancied going to visit Peach Guitars as the selection of guitars is pretty good. Perhaps I'll make an appointment one day. Enjoy the guitar mate 😎😎🎶🎶👍👍
That’s a beauty. I’ve got a 2005 PRS SE Soapbar that has the chunky neck and even though I don’t have huge hands, I find it really comfortable, especially after playing a while. Looking forward to hearing more of this one
The last PRS i bought (a silver sky se from peach) had wonky nobs. They got in touch with the rep and a week later a new set arrived which were much better
Got a SE DGT from them. Top E string was virtually laying on the frets and required a good few turns on the saddle to bring it up to 2mm. Call me a cynic, but I don't put much faith in their claims they set each guitar up.
It's certainly a pretty guitar. I actually like the look of that neck profile as I do tend towards slightly chunkier necks. Be nice to hear it with the coil tap on, and maybe a few effects.
The SE24 is a pattern thin neck, mines quite skinny but easy to play :) (had to have one in pink obviously, its the most macho and butch of all geetars haha). That is a very nice lookin geetar you got yourself there :) the maple fretboard and abalone inlay is sweet as :) Great vid as always sir and hope your keeping well :)
I got one delivered the other day from Musician's Friend here in the US. The fret ends were a bit sharp and the biggest disappointment was a crack in the neck. At the scarf joint where the headstock joins the neck. It was apparently repaired at the factory. You could clearly see the repair. What drew my attention to it was the fact when I ran my hand up and down the neck. there was this residue coming off on my hand.
I agree. It should have never left the factory that way. It kind of makes me wonder about how PRS brags about how everything is looked at and setup and the Maryland factory.
Sweeeeet! 👍. Is there a reason they dont recess the back plates then, ive never understood the argument that it makes it cheaper for us consumers. That's a bit like saying dont paint it. Also not routing it for the flush fit what does that save. Genuine questions, really puzzled by it especially when its a brand known for their beautifully looking guitars.
It’s gorgeous, Rich… beautiful abalone inlays 👍 I couldn’t help to notice your smile disappeared a bit when you discovered the neck was bigger than expected. 🙈
Wow! Happy NGD! The figuring on the Ash is stunning, love the colour too 😎👌 Maple fretboard 😎👌 Although it could have done with a wee bit of an amber tint, just a wee bit 😁 The white pickup surrounds seem like a bit of a strange choice. Kinda distracts from the beautiful finish - imo 🤷♂
Yep agreed, neck is bit pale, looks better in real life. I oddly like the cream pickup surrounds. PRS have changed a lot t look like core models but they seems bland to me with all that black. I’m overall, lots to like here 😃
Hi Rich, really nice looking guitar, beautiful front body & nice looking neck. Agree that the back doesn’t look great and for a £900 plus guitar the back plate should be recessed. Neck doesn’t look thin at all 😂. I’ve nothing against PRS guitars, they all look fabulous but can’t say I”ve ever desired one for some reason. I did have a go on one by accident in GuitarGuitar when looking at amps but it wasn’t for me. Maybe if I won one I might think differently. I suppose I’m not quite sure where they fit in, are they just a good versatile all rounder type guitar ?!
I used to think this too. They’re not really a Strat or tele albeit their LP types are sort of like an LP. I think they’re shape, style and feel of their own. Maybe guitar to buy once you’ve got all the classics? Not sure but all the 9 or 10 I’ve had have been high quality
Hi Rich (it's Graham owner of your Chapman Pro Tele), You seem to have a hang up on the thickness of guitar necks. Different guitars have different necks, that's how it is, that's how it's meant to be. For instance, if you want a telecaster with a slim neck you have to find a Fender 60's neck, horses for courses and all that! For me it is the profile of the carve not the fret board radius or the actual dimensions that really count, also if the fret board has rolled edges it makes a huge difference to the feel of it especially if you have small hands. I think you might have done Mr Chapman a slight dis-service saying that the his tele has a chunky neck and I hope it hasn't put people off buying them as I too have small hands and I am getting on famously with it! I appreciate that your actual words were that it is 'too chunky for me' but people will still read that as it has a chunky neck. When we next meet up I will bring you my own strat, it has a neck to die for........... All the best Graham
That’s the point Graham, ‘too thick for me’. It’s not a hang up about neck thickness, it’s preference. The radius on my Jackson is compound 12-16 but is not too thick, my Harley Benton is 10” and a slim D, my CV Squier is 9.5” and a medium C, this PRS is 10” with rolled edges and for me, a bit on the chunky side. It’s not just hand size, fingers too, how you hold the neck, play the guitar and physicality and dexterity of your hand anatomy. I know guitars have different necks Graham, I’ve owned 193 of them
@@thenovicenoisemaker I had a buddy who had an emerald green core model and that thing was so awesome. It's the main reason I went with the Iris Blue one and am willing to wait.
That looks good mate , sounds good too, from what I could see , that neck looks thin , but I suppose that’s subjective, my thin could easily be your chunky ( if that makes sense) plus obviously, you can feel it, I can only get a glimpse of it through my screen, but either way, looks great on the whole 👍👍🤠🎸
@thenovicenoisemaker oh. Yeah, my guitar returning, friend !!😅 we will both be happy... plus I started chatting up a girl I never ( and should have) asked out in High school. My 245 was thick too but still played nice. Medium frets is key for me too
Stunning!! Absolutely beautiful guitar Rich. I love it!
Thank you Peter 😊
Love Peach Guitars. Very lucky to have it on my doorstep - certainly one of, if not the best, guitar store I’ve ever been in.
Awesome 🙌🏻
Congratulations on the new guitar! I have it in the same color, absolutely love it. I think you will love it too! Mine weighs 7 lb 13 oz.
You got a nice light one 👍🏻. I am loving it already 🤗
Hiya Rich !! Hope you're well. Stunning looking guitar !! Its nice that Peach do a set up, I will have to check them out for my next purchase.
Hey Dave! Thank you, very happy with this one 😀

Thanks Ian, I’ll do the same 👍🏻
So their quality check must have missed this?! Hmm...
Good point! The post on my tone pot is slightly bent 🤦🏻♂️

@Gibbo1050 yeah that’s a fair comment. They should have picked up on the my bent pot post, it’s not severe but it’s clearly there
It's inviting to see popular brands offering quality products at affordable prices. That is one very nice guitar Richard, enjoy!
Thank you Dragan! It’s a beautiful guitar
@thenovicenoisemaker indeed it is Richard. Thank you for sharing and for continuing to put good content on the web! 🤘

Thanks David, I’ll do some more on the tones another time 👍🏻
Lovely guitar, one day i might get a prs if only i hadn't spent so much money building my 3 guitars.
Ah but they’re personal to you, can’t put a price on that ☺️
Got this in iri blue-amazing guitar❤️
Nice!
Looks good Rich. Enjoy.
Thanks Steve 👍🏻
I bought guitar from peach it had a stone in the middle.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was so close to buying this exact one but when I refreshed it was out of stock lmao

A fine question! No excuse for it that I can think of. Really like how Chapman do this on all guitars

Ultimate question Rich, is she as good as the beloved Savanna ???
Now that is a good question! I loved Savannah and I don’t think anything can replace her RIP 🪦. This is very good though, need some more time with it

I’ve only had 2 before, long time ago too. In the short term though it’s an amp and drum kit 😀
Beautiful guitar. However, I am not a fan of gig bags. I bought a Martin last year, and the gig bag was a major disappointment.
My guitars rarely leave the house so it’s not a big issue for me but I totally get that you want good protection if you’re out with it
