This one of those you should have kept, Rich. 😉 I have recently found out that these Chinese made classic vibe guitars actually have Tonerider pickups in them. the 50's have Surfari alnico III pickups in them for bright 50's sound. And the 60's have Classic Blues alnico V pickups in them. Get one while you can 🙂

I have one of the HB15’s. Put an EQ Pedal in front of it and you will be blown away with it. Most important pedal you can ever have.

Excellent choice, real amp vs plastic boxes.

You could consider trying to find a Line 6 Spider Valve, if you want a valve sound but customisability. Fantastic amps, and if you wanna bypass the modelling pre-s there is an FX loop to bypass it entirely and just use the valve power section.

If you want a richer fuller sound your speaker cone needs to be at least 12inches .

For me a Valve amp is always a 1st choice- for me I have the Vox ac30 and the Fender Princeton 68 - both killer amps for a gigging Blues guitarist i.e ME 😮😮🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nice video Dude- Ps I have a lovely PRS too- can't say which one as the wife will google it and find out how much I REALLY paid for it 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

The subscriber you were referring to was me :) Glad you got one of these as they are really hard to find in good condition and are incredible for the money. A couple of observations from owning one. I really disliked the pickups and replaced mine with Bareknuckle VH1’s (subjective of course). But I agree that other than that the guitar is superior to the version 1, especially with additional locking tuners, brass block and SS frets. I also found that I had to remove one of the string trees as the guitar wouldn’t stay in tune. I’ve seen others with this issue. What was your experience? Great vid, as always!

A Fender Pugilist can be bought second hand (bought mine off Facebook Marketplace) for around £50. Sounds great, looks amazing, probably as much overdrive distortion as you'll ever need. Would sound fantastic through that Harley Benton tube amp.

I’ve been messing with my spark 2 , some of the AI sounds are awesome ( to my ears ) I found one earlier, I put in Angus Young , and the fourth one that popped up to me sounded very very close to his sound ( even with me hammering away at it 😂) the quality of the amp is great , the looper too , can be changed from 4 bars 8 bars 12 bars and beyond ( free setting I think it’s called) I’m very pleased with it, obviously you’ve had loads of amps etc , but this is the most expensive thing I’ve had gear wise and to me it was so worth it , and it’s really loud , but not distorted sound 👍👍🤠🎸

Getting a cab for your tube amp or changing speaker would be good improvement. I changed the speaker in my 4watt tube amp for a celestion alnico gold that with upgraded tubes made a huge difference. Also if you are after a reverb pedal get a strymon blue sky,i got a mk1 not cheap but brilliant. Also a exotic sl drive is brilliant for marshal tones, or u can turn the gain off and use it for a boost.

I've been using Dragon's Heart picks for ~3+ years now, I'd recommend checking them out. Recently got a 9 mm 'Achilleus' from purple plectrums, it's also pretty sick.

You can get a Katana 2 for next to nothing and run your board into the power amp in the back and bypass the Katana patches and modulations all together.

Dave Simpsons Tube 15 video brings back happy memories. I was due to go to see Dave and at the time I was also about to order a Tube 15 from Thomann. I got the idea to have it delivered to Dave and then collect it when I saw him so he could try it out and possibly make a video. Then came the day for me to go and see him. It suddenly burst into my head whilst driving there, what if he really likes it? How could I take it away from him? Well, he did so I didn’t and you’ve seen the video 🙂

Had one of these, hated it, sent it back. If you want a Marshall get a dsl 20 head, the 1 watt head is good too.

Ac10 would be my recommendation. No effects loop but if you’re using clean tones with pedals then that’s not a problem. Sound is rich and harmonic at most levels and you can just about make it work well at room level.

listen this to my AKG Studio Headphones and something is just not there for me with this amp , maybe a better speaker is needed it does look good I give it that , if I was to build a decent amp for home I would start with the BOSS Katana Mini base boost that to 25 watts 8 inch speaker with effects loop usb c connector to connect to recording software as a interface I don't think BOSS would want to do something that and impact their Katana 50 range and sales , but if they did it would be a big seller, this is a tough market almost a quest for the Holy Grail in the price range and market ,
