brave birds also has a real talented front man as well. they sound the same live even on video check it out, real intricate guitar and emotional singing
No kidding, you basically have to be a god. Though when I would write acoustic riffs and would try improv some lyrics with it, I thought it was the hardest thing to play a series of chords while singing, forget about changing picking pattern or speed mid improv. After learning a few songs and how to sing them, it basically all came together. I'm sure this dude has practiced the riffs he plays for hours on end to be able to basically play them without thinking about them much. When you can play something so easily, singing something behind it's really easy because your muscle memory kicks in and you don't really have to think as much about hitting the right notes.
