I had the idea to combine a handtruck with a bike a couple weeks ago and when i found a cheap handtruck on ebay this week, i decided to give it a try. the solution to replace the front wheel of the bike with one of the handtruck wheels solved ALL the problems i had trying to figure out the stearing system.
i can tell you it rides even better than it looks.
this bike will stay with me forever :)
not only for getting beer and drinks, i think it will be perfect to transport packages to the postoffice or getting new gas bottles and stuff like that. the coaster brake is plenty strong to stop the bike even with a case of beer on it.
hope you enjoy this as much as i do!

This is one of the most satisfying videos ever. Love seeing all the details of the cuts and welds without unnecessary footage. Perfectly done
I can’t help but think when your mechanical and trade skills start to catch up to your imagination you will go from freaking amazing to absolutely phenomenal!!! I look forward to seeing that evolution right here on UA-cam - don’t ever stop the videos!!!
@@thecityissleeping Right? 😂
Crazy awesome Laura! It looks really cool in the closing shot!
4 years later and this is still one of my favorite builds(I have a soft spot for bicycles).
and loaded it has a nice powersteering
I love the idea of using a hole saw to cut the mating angle for the bike tube.
Lots of tech craftkunst there.
Great bike to take beer before the party. And great bike to take your drunk homie back home. 10/10.
love it laura, you inspired me to start filming my own building projects so thank you!
+Carl's Build awesome!! have fun with it!
Awesome concept and delivery Laura.
Combines health and fitness with practicality to solve a real time large object transportation problem. 👍
Creative, fun, whimsical... keep it coming, the world needs it more then ever! Thanks!
thanks! and i agree!
I love your ability to imagine something wonderful, then build it!
It's a beermex
I have to wonder about a legitimate practical niche to fill with a design like this. This is the kind of practical innovation that can be surprisingly a stroke of pure genius.
it's fun for shure but the steering will be absolutely terrible, especially with the beer crate changing its height though steering, as seen at 4:20 😅
This is amazing! You clearly put a lot of work into your videos and I would like you to know that I really appreciate it!
I need one of this ... For the same function kkkkkkk! Congratulations Laura for the creativity. A hug.
Awesome project Laura :) Keep making Awesome things :)
Adorable solution to a problem solved by handle bar baskets and bike racks behind the seat for 100+ years....
I like the idea applied for heavy things, like 500 lbs.
I will construct a low speed torque monster version for un-improved terrain.
Thank you for inspiration.
Original and crazy bike, very good job Laura👌
This channel is criminally underviewed.
Makes me think of a bike from a strange parallel universe to Mad Max - you know where there is a shortage of water, but in this universe it's not water it's beer...and there isn't a shortage. Makes sense in my mind! Anyhow, awesome work Laura - loving the channel since I discovered it through Diresta's content! Cheers!
I always loved the concept of Mad max + bikes ^^
Your mad max theory is an accurate description of German society I think :)
i would feel very comfortable in that universe! i thought a lot about mad max when building this so i am happy you get the same vibes!
not enough spikes and barbed wire to be in a Mad Max Universe.. extend the bottom plate some more, then add on a plow like blade and add the aforementioned spikes and barbed wire..then it would be bad ass..
I still enjoy watching this video, to bad you cannot like it twice or three times.
Millions of views and only thousands of likes. That is unfortunate. Laura deserves many more likes than that.
Keep up the good work. Keep having fun. I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks.
First thought I had is damn you could carry the homie on there
Zero Gang what happens if hes heavier lol
The bike is cool but the skills and knowledge and craftmanship are cooler keep up the madness
Looks like the heavy beer would tend to steer the wheel to either side.
Max Maker that's why you alternate the load from IPAs to STOUTs
SuperMishkah Light beer is never the answer.

1) Yellow is High Visibility.
2) A Hand Truck TRAILER
design where the turning forces are
more limited and will also help in putting more weight
on rear wheel which also adds to Safety. Also this trailing method is much simpler to construct.
Other than that Have Fun!
@@FoScoJo haha, well said!
Hahaha brilliant! I really loved this build, I thought your idea was fantastic and well done, thank you for making this video!
As a professional welder/fabricator, may I make a suggestion? Chamfering or beveling, if you like, you tubes at the joints before you weld them by at least one quarter to one third of the thickness allows the weld to penetrate deeper into the steel to create a far stronger weld, much more resistant to breaking, otherwise you're basically just welding the surface of the steel.
Again, brilliant job, keep it up!
The music at the end makes the final demonstration looking really badass :D
What is the music after 4:00??
Club 2000 1
Nice work! The fish mouths turned out perfectly!
Bike so cool the beer is free, unless they catch you.
jimboburgess just like everything else in life lololol
Wow, great idea. Beer, Bikes and Making. It doesn't get any better than that.
Cool, but the front wheel should have used a bolt that wasn't threaded the whole shaft because after awhile of use the threads will crush and produce wobble
That's right!
Stirred but not shaken. Lol
Good observation
True.
And ... wobble means instability.
And instability means mishap.
And mishap means broken beers.
And broken beers means broken hearts.
@@marshalllhiepler And broken hearts means more sadness ...
And more sadness means more drinking ...
And more drinking means more trips to the beer store ...
And more trips means the whole process is repeated. 🍺👋😖
Now I want a beer! Im not afraid to say... its only 8am... but this bike made my day.
I'm waiting for the scooter meets pallet jack :P
Me too !!
a pallet jack is already a scooter
You can use a pallet truck like a swing car lol. While standing on the forks facing the handle you have to steer it from side to side slowly, there's a knack to it but you should be able to start moving forward.
Cory Tant I used to do this at work all the time!! lmao
meets powered jack.
I usually drink my beer THEN get on the bike.
With obvious results.
Brilliant
Same
@@pompein have a large problem with the nut behind the handlebars.
That's awesome... now it just needs front suspension so it doesn't shake up the bear.
A springer like a Harley, yeah!
builtrodewreckedit yeah shaking up a BEAR would be pretty dangerous....
builtrodewreckedit glad I'm not the only one that thought, that's a lot of trust in one little tire for shock absorption. It's a great concept though
Hold my Bear...
i know right?! last time i shook up a bear shit went bad real quick.. next time i will stick to shaking up beer.. much safer..
Great idea! On the front wheel I would not use a threaded rod but a bar threaded on both ends. Also I would use a Go-cart wheel with roller bearings. I really like this modification. Thank you.
this might be the most important bike that exists
The most satisfying part is just how CLEAN the beer case fit into the rack.
Only one case? pfft...
it was early in the morning ;)
In that case, the shopkeeper must have really looked at you funny.
Same best milk case!
looks really hard to ride with the beer on it
itchy robot looks hard to ride without, tiny tires male for really twitchy and skittish handling...
Can’t help but like the voiceless format !😊
I really fuckin love maker videos and this is the first woman maker i've come across on youtube!! thankyou gurl i hope you don't get too many patronising comments from insecure dudes you're great
+Madison Evers haha! thanks madison! it's fine. most comments are great like yours :)

Brilliant. Laura you are inspiration to all makers. Love your videos.
Now it just needs some straps to keep the beers from sliding off
*tie downs not included.

Or get a bike with a carrier at the back🤣🤣🤣 and a basket in the front😊😊😊
she has the small sideplates. Combined with the angle they lay back and the weight of the beers (24x33cl should be around 8kg in beer alone) that crate is not going anywhere
I like how a lot of people commenting are good quality creators as well.
Man.. that is super cool :) Nice one!!
+I Like To Make Stuff :) thanks bob!
I Like To Make Stu

I Like To Make Stuff is woman :))
A beer bike? I've done seen it all now. LOL. I love it.
Cool build. I would like to see a load stabilizer separate from the steering. And the load would ride better over the back wheel
totally impractical and lovin every bit of it :) such a cool idea for a fun build
I think I just fell in love with Laura😊
Can you hear that cringe?
Nice ride. Here in Brazil we have a popular cargo model (Bicicleta Carga Aro 26 Dalannio Bike). People use this to transport beer boxes, house gas and water bottles
Bicycles are like "Stay away from that place! Terrible things happen to bikes that go in there."
hahaha!
So you created a bike with the sole purpose of transporting beer... I think I'm in love... With a bike...
Great job! I think I would add a strap or some other method to secure the load.
That would be my only in
Improvements
This was my first thought. Some of the permanent ratchets that you’ll find on lumber racks. Also suspension to keep the beer from getting flat. Aaaaaaaannnd a verticals barrow cooler to keep it cold.
I love your longer videos but these are supremely satisfying. Like an amuse bouche.
Sponsored by Flensburger - Wunschdenken ;-)
Tolles Video Laura!!!!
I love the vibe of your videos. A whole new genre!
No creen?
Super cool! You should add a peg stand, so when you get off the bike to load the beer you just put the peg down and it can stand straight up and you can load multiple cases on there. Then just put it back up when your ready to ride. 👍
person 1: How are we going to get all this booze back home
Laura Kampf: Hold my beer
Laura, I got my stickers that I ordered. Thank yous for sending them so quickly. They are much appreciated. Loved the video.
Did I just watch a 5 minute tutorial on how to steal beer 😆
Good job Laura. If you’re ever in Oregon, stop by for a beer.
When you unemployed you come up with the best ideas.
Loved the ride by shop lifting. Hope you enjoyed the beer.
Its amazing! You are the one who inspired me to make things! I really, really want to support you but im 14 so i cant go with patreon...as soon i can i will do it! You are awesome! Keep going!!!
NICE!!! All your creations are the coolest for sure!
Laura, you are my kind of girl, lol. You have a good imagination. Keep up the good work : )
Like the late Stevie Ray Vaughn so eloquently put it, "I drink alone".

Omg I love this woman. You’re my hero.
Hits bump then breaks all bottles 😂
dirk diggler laurastern
UGH that hole-saw trick!!!! that is genius... why didn't I think of that?
So she uses calipers to find the fork tube specs, and still leaves a 1/4 inch gap.
Hahahaha
That was the best part!
I wish I had known about this bike before. I once went to the bottle shop to buy 12 bottles of beer which they gave me in a crate. I balanced the crate on the back carrier and set off home. Then I suddenly thought that if I fell, the bottles would break so I stopped and drank them on the spot instead. Good thing I did that because on the ride back home after that I fell 4 times... ;-)
Poor design no offense, should have made steering independent of the trolley pallet. Need to turn quickly..... Oh there goes the box of beers.
Wtf is a trolley pallet???
Oh seperate the wheel infront... Not combining just like that...im guessing
Nonsense I’d be fine with that, looks unreal
Laura, you are one amazing fabricator!
Lässige Idee! (:
Love it. Your welding helmet is like the Kromer welders caps! Thats cool too. Great idea.
it took me 15 seconds to install an old newspaper carrier bag
You get points for practical, no points for cool.
New fan here, Jimmy sent me. Very cool bike!
Homeless persons dream bike party at the park.
Bloody Brilliant! Nice work Laura :)
4th and Wall Street. Down town LOS ANGELES the MEXICANS made the bike hand trucks for years to collect cardboard 100 ponds plus
Y si le pones un portabultos atrás como dios manda
People in Mexico would love this I was out on vacation and you should see the amount of salesmen on heavy yellow wagon style bikes selling goods
You can sell that bike in Mexico or China all day long
That's true huh? Kids could make deliveries all over a city to guys homes. Ding dong. "Who is it?" "Your 4 cases of beer!" "Ok, let me give you a nice tip!" Seriously makes me wish I had a way to make & sell these. I live close to the border.
What a joyously ridiculous contraption! Well done.
And as soon as you open your first beer it sprays everywhere and causing the remaining beer to go flat
A good complementary for your mini pub!!! 😃😎
La mejor forma de dañar una buena bicicleta y un buen monta carga para hacer un híbrido que no sirve ni como bici ni como montacargas
Plasmacutters? Cut off wheels? Welders.. Where has this channel been?
Subbed.. thanks for sharing!
In some way this could be practical.
Edit:nevermind
Shoulda named it the "Beercycle!" Awesome work here!
When using that inside mic...it’s was crooked measure the I.D. of the tube but I guess it was all for dramatic effect...🤷♂️
Imagine this as a local beer delivery service! great idea.
I lost 4 minutes 40 seconds of my life
Me too
Excellent choice in beer!
Legend! I would never have thought of combining these two together... nice creative work! :D
This is my 8 million'th time watching this
