Such a brilliant founder and a great story. Their designs are industry leading. Hopefully Airbnb the service (pricing, cleaning fees, customer support) will catch up.
The future is clearly a personalize assistant on each phone that learns from everything you do and helps you in everything you do, not unlike KIT, the car from the '80s TV show. Loved that show as a kid.
Amazing! Thanks, Jason and TWiST for setting up this interview. Really interesting, especially comparing Bryan's story with Joe Gebbia's story from E1675. Airbnb's story is definitely one out of Hollywood movie. Such a great story.
Please bring Dara, the CEO of Uber, to the show. You are so excellent of an interviewer and I would love to see a great interview of yours with Dara. Thanks!
It’s not about vacations! It’s about your entire work life being better by having your freedom. I’m 38 and when I was 19 worked at jpmorgan for 1 year in an office. It was freaking horrible. Your just a slave to your job. I’ve never worked in an office since for the last 20 years. Remote working vs office job the lifestyle difference is depressing. If you have an office job pls do everything you can to get out. You are missing out on life. I hope everyone gets to experience the freedom of working remotely. My sister works an office job and she can’t do anything. She misses out on so much because she only allowed to leave the office for about 2 weeks in a year. I just got back from a 4 month europe trip and 3 month asia trip. That’s 7 months of travelling and pure blissful freedom in the last 1 year. For my sister it would take her 14 years of her life to experience the same freedom.
The comment about the writers - the writers are against not being compensation for "ingesting" of their work (as well as reducing their role in the process) ... there's no royalty structure for the IP that "Generative AI" is built on ... the value all accrues to the technologists, not to the cultural creators these models are built from. This is not a case of users getting general inspiration from the open internet with a generative AI tool. The issue is corporations expanding cultural franchises without paying the people that thought of the films, shows, etc.. the work of these authors is what makes the stories etc. enjoyable to start with.
Hey, Jason! Brian is really excited to share how Airbnb is structured and operates and it seems that he has learned a lot from Apple. That’s incredibly valuable for anyone who’s trying to build a company like Airbnb and Apple. I would love for you to drill down about this topic! It would be great!
Might have said too much lol But ty i guess haha Big problem i see with his project is that if the go wider range of concierge Pltform like meta google have alteady thing data in…,i can even see a play where THEY care over his idea and i greate ai lifestyle concierge to their ai…should focus of taking care of host who dont have fair coverage regarding thief or vandalism
This is the guy that banned Tim "Lover Boy" Dillon? And those rejection stories: Piles of cash don't fix butthurt it turns out. I kid. Those stories are interesting.
Is Air b&b renting houses that violate the shore law and it reglamentos in Puerto Rico? We can provide you several examples! Please confirm the position of the company. One company that foster illegal acts is not an ethical and moral one
It’s too bad. Lately I see Airb&b as a negative thing. Because it has affected the housing crisis by removing many permanent rental properties in favour of renting their property as an airb&b. Which doubles triples or more what they received from permanent rentals At first I was excited and did stay at them But more and more I’m noticing the price you end up paying can be double or more what is advertised. I’m seeing $100 plus for a cleaning fee I mean that’s what the rental fee is for To cover expenses. Cleaning be one of them.
Notice Brian Chesky's communication skills. There are no ''hum'' or weird pauses. Very smooth story teller.
Someone has had some training methinks. Effective though agreed.

Exactly ^
They use a plugin to auto detect and remove all 'umms' and 'ahhs'. You can see in the intro. All in podcast does it too.
Brian Chesky always gives it 100% and you never get tired of listening.
I can smell arrogence.
Chesky is a typical kosher parasite, stealing from other people. Airbnb is an illegal operation.
What ? His interventions are the worst.
He's has just been rehashing the same PR bullshit stories for like 10 years.
This is one of the best episodes of the show. Brian is a different species!
Brain is one of the best speakers I have ever heard.
like his tips for operations is amazing
First time watching this podcast or listening to Brian. Loved the conversation - lively and insightful. Really enjoyed their perspective and experience with AI and how they see it rolling out.
This should be required viewing for not only start-ups, but anyone in business.
Never heard a CEO talk so passionately about improving the core experience instead of new products / features
He is just amazing
a lot of what he says is really basic logic. i champion this thinking myself and I have nowhere near the experience Brian has.
@@user-jp7ni5xv1r interesting looking forward to seeing you on the next episode
Do I own Airbnb now after what they did to me?
@@Ketofit62 what’d they do?
Wow, this was a fantastic interview and made me tremendously respect Brian Chesky
Great episode, thank you!
Both engaging and informative. Amazing
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication!
Amazing interview! ❤
OMG this might have been the best interview yet. So much info, I need to watch it several times. Thanks Jason and Brian

Oh thanks, completely forgot I ever watched this one
0:10 Jason be like: ''YUM YUM''! His dry beak got all sweaty!
This helps me. So many people rejected my website idea. I will iterate till I succeed
This show is way better than it was with the old cohost
No offence, but I completely agree... she was such a weight. Just soothed Jason's ego and barely contributed.

Amazing story . Staying in an Airbnb as we speak 😊

Jony Ive straight up went from Apple to a hotel company, man! Haha, that's wild!
Still boycotting Calicanis & co. Special exception when he lands a guest like BC. Props for that. Best CEO of a publicly traded company.
How stoked Jason must be to have a guest who is both esteemed and actually listens to his podcast.
What new product was Brian talking about that Airbnb launching next year?
I’m interested to know to
Looking fit Jason 👍💪

AI and personalisation. Is everyone comfy with the depth of knowledge a machine (read corporation) knows about you?
Haha. Savage investor. Investor was having a roast day with that "I like everything except you and your idea" line. Jeez 😅
I guess there's no more Noti gang, but I got the first like.
I stopped using Airbnb as it has become too expensive. It's more expensive than hotels now!
Depends on the region. Eastern Europe and Turkey AirBnB places are way cheaper
How can I as a designer apply for a position with Brian!? This is such an inspiring story and want to be part of it...
