Princess Charlotte Cries at Queen Elizabeth's Funeral

- It was an emotional day for Princess Charlotte. Prince William and Kate Middleton's daughter cried during her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth's state funeral. Along with Charlotte, Meghan Markle shed some tears, too. During the service at Westminster Abbey, the Duchess of Sussex’s head bowed down with her hand up to her face as Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, who is the wife of the queen's youngest son, Prince Edward, appeared to comfort her. Meghan also wiped away her tears as the procession continued.

I think both the children behaved amazingly considering their ages and the length of time they were in the public spotlight. When I first read that they were going to be taking part in the procession as well as being in the abbey, i thought it might be too much for them, but they handled it all beautifully - in fact - as well as any of the adults ! Well Done to them both. I think a few tears can be expected and hope the media don't make a big deal out of it and embarrass her.
I can’t understand why media is like that… I mean the poor sweat girl lost a beloved person it is ok to let tears out and cry just like a human … 💔
When I first read that, I had visions of William and Harry walking behind Diana's coffin and I thought, why would they put those kids through that.
Exactly! I was an adult when I lost my mine…. Such a lovely brave child… 😢

I can’t imagine being 7 years old and on the world stage and trying to grieve. My heart broke into a million pieces watching princess Charlotte cry for her great grandmother. She is a brave beautiful little girl. God bless princess Charlotte and may god heal her heart
i agree, especially since they had to attend three services
When I was a kid I could barely stand funerals. I can’t imagine having to be there for that long, especially with the world watching
She wasn’t crying she had something in her eye
Her mom told her to cry
The world stage is right all actors from the devil bloodline
I have so much respect for the children. At a funeral it is difficult enough to hold back your emotions, let alone with the world watching you.
It is hard for them and royal families cannot have public pouring of grief.
How could they NOT get emotional? They truly loved her. I cried….and I’m an American. Bless them all.
I watched the flight tracker of the Queen's body returning to London, and cried all the way.I am in my 70's and have been bereaved many times.Moments of shared sadness as well as joy are what unite us as a people. Those two very young children did so well.
Yes everyone is aloud to cry . No one be forced not to.. they are strong children and should always be aloud to show there emotions and feelings no matter what age.
I think it's a British thing, you're supposed not to show your emotions.
So sad to see the princess cry for her great grandmother. She looks so much like the queen! 🙏❤️
Yes she looks just like her grandmother, much love to this family ,a very sad time for them all😢😢
She looks like her dad but it wasn't until I saw photos of her majesty when she was a child that I realized just how much he looked like her.
Megan crocodile tears
Such a beauty n does favor queen as child!! Bless her lil heart!!
No, she’s not crying. She’s just touching her face and fidgeting at this moment.
As I understand it, Princess Charlotte, who bears such a strong resemblance to her great-grandmother, was a favorite of the Queen’s. The children did remarkably well. It was a long, emotional day for the whole family, but the little ones held their own. It was so touching to see Princess Charlotte crying for her dear Gran. I’d like to think that Megan’s tears were real, but am not fully convinced. She is, after all, a trained actress. There were a couple of times where her pained expression of grief came off as an exaggeration, much like an actor in an acting class. Perhaps she was shedding real tears for recognizing all that Harry walked away from.
You know what actually wasn’t real? Charlotte crying. She was rubbing her eye, nothing more. There’s no picture of her whatsoever of her actually crying. No tears, no runny nose, no red face. No video either. This whole thing is stupid propaganda.
Actors never switch off. They are keenly aware of every word, facial expression and bodily movement in front of a camera. There is not a moment during that funeral when Meghan was not carefully composing herself, it is second nature for her. Ofc the single tear was her pièce de résistance 😅 who could fall for that, she had no love for the queen, she never even had a relationship with her. She brought nothing but stress and pain to the queen in her final years.
I can't imagine why Megan Markle would shed a tear for the Queen. She barely knew her.
I think Meghan always knows when cameras are on her, even looks straight at them..and admitted to crying on cue!?!
Yes!! I was thinking exactly the same . It's really looks like she is actually just rubbing her eyes! @@mindyschocolate

Those poor darlings. So young and yet they've gone to all of these services, lines, drives, walk-abouts, etc with no fuss. Truth be told they've behaved better than some of the adults.
This is the first time we have seen the children since their Great Grandmother died. They have actually been at School.

The emotion shown in Princess Charlotte was so heartbreaking, the
7 year old, finally just couldn’t hold her grief and tears back and her mummy The Princess of Wales, Catherine, consoling her really pulled hard on my heart strings. Prince George and Princess Charlotte have gone through a lot over the last week, out greeting the public with their daddy, The Prince of Wales and introducing them there was going to come a time that it truly became real for Princess Charlotte and my heart goes out to her. Princess Charlotte “Theres nothing wrong in crying for losing someone that was so close, special and precious and loving to you!” ❤❤❤❤

Princess Charlotte is such a sweetheart just like her mother. So down to earth, full of class and grace and beauty inside and out!
Kids.. man.. my son was 4 when my mother passed. He is 6 and sometimes I'll catch him crying and telling "I miss grandma". He also told me he was staying strong for me. This little girl reminds me of my son. So strong and mature.
Princess Charlotte is so sweet. I could totally see her following in her grandmothers footsteps as Queen if she ever has the chance too. But at the tender age of 7, this was a really big day for both her and her brother Prince George. I remember my first funetal at 10. It really changed me in that I learned life was temporary in a way I had never truly understood before. I could have done without seeing open casket. Thankfully it was closed casket. Little Louis at the Jubliee was a ham. He gave her quite a show for her last Jubliee. lol

They behaved beautifully and it is also so important to include children this age in funerals because they also have grief to process - they also need to say goodbye and they need to be included in their family's grieving. Grieving has better outcomes when it is experienced collectively.
My first funeral was my dad's when I was 12 years old. It was a lot to take in at that age, let alone their tender ages. I think they did very well.
That must have been terrible, so sorry!
… But I’m sure you were grateful to be included.
My father died when I was a bit younger than Prince George. In fact, my dad's name was also George. My mother gave us a choice if we wanted to go to the funeral or remember him as we last saw him. We decided to stay home with grandma. To this day I'm glad that I remember him as I last saw him instead of at his funeral. Mind you, it's harder to lose a parent than a grandparent, even though both losses are extremely difficult. My heart goes out to these children because I understand what they're going through!! 💔 💖

Princess Charlotte's life will never be the same again - the death of her beloved great-grandmother must be a hugely devastating loss to her - she is but 7 years of age - it is entirely natural for anyone to weep at the funeral of a beloved family member. She's so adorable beautiful little girl. I'm Soo sorry the loss of her grandmother..I can tell they had shared a very close bond. ♥️☹️😢
