just look at the amount of MPs present in the parliament during this questioning time......not even half of them are present. opposition party leaders should be present in these times always and ask harsh question to the govt but opposition leaders are just useless. and Rahul Gandhi would come to parliament during other times when parliament is having other things to do and shout that govt is not letting them ask questions

We Indians are eagerly waiting for this project, and need more trains which connect other states also.
In North India there are no good buses in between two States. So there is overload and over dependence on Railways in North. In South we have a large number of buses connecting the various States..

Check for irctc , cleanliness or food delivery or overall railway station infrastructure they all have been improved quite significantly, on top of it they have also introduced vande Bharat trains what are all these man ? Not improvements I agree they have not done anything better on security side because these are very sensitive things as these systems have been in place for years and cannot be changed like in a whiff , the present government even strived to introduce KAVACH system which could have averted all the accidents that have happened in last 6 months , I agree they have to be made accountable for late deployment but you have to understand the fact they have been the ones who have got it in the first place or else we would have been the same without any improvement, I'm not at all a keen supporter of BJP as I vote for my regional party MP to represent us but you cannot just abuse them all the time overlooking what all they have done

I know a lot of people oppose the Bullet Train project in India and I understand it but I feel we need atleast one such project to give us the confidence that we can actually do it also our civil engineers will learn a lot in the process .... I am all for this project the only thing that should be kept in mind is that it should not go over budget and timelines should be strictly adhered to ! .... Thats my only caveat in all this .... We need to show ourselves that we can undertake such a complex project and then run it properly also ! .... 🙏 .... 🇮🇳 .... 🇯🇵 ....

My only thing is we learn a lot from such projects which then help us to reduce time for our own homegrown tech like Vande Bharat we can then use that technology to make future trains and civil engineering ! .... Also I believe in a progressive approach whereby you take a certain risk knowing that it will be costly .... America did that during the cold war many of their projects were a complete failure .... Firstly make sure our railway system is working well cause in the month of July there are 3 railway accidents occurred.. we don't need bullet train for now
The no. of accidents have reduced on yearly basis. And ones have have been on social media seem exaggerated. Work on its being done parallely. Old practices are being replaced by new and better techniques. Assure you we will have zero accident toll in few years. Btw some people seem to deliberately sabotage rail tracks...we shall not neglect that fact.

We indians need infrastructure, we are paying 30% that means four months of our salary to government in the form of tax , atleast it should be used correctly , most of this went to unproductive works.😢😢😢 Some of smaller countries have good infrastructure than india , there is no urban parks facilities that a normal person can go , there is no road with out toll

Lame Questions ! Who pays for this cost and the extra cost. What is the real benefit of this to India other than 'Pride'. These are exclusive tracks for exclusive trains for expensive tickets. Who can afford this on a regular basis. Air Flights are faster, cheaper and more cost effective.
Even the Vande Bharat has hardly any great time saving after paying such heavy prices, that too at the cost of slowing (overtaking) the other existing trains. See the aad situation in many of the states, 3 months and still on Wait List. We need more mass-transit NOT fancy travel options as a Nation !

Why is this impression of keeping different service classes on trains being conveyed as classist? Thr classes are not meant to classify or segregrate or divide people or to maintain distance among leople but to provide option of different service standards/anenities according to commiters' purchasing capacity or budget. The railways have to bear operational expenses and make some profit as well for investment back into the railways system for technological improvement, modernisation efforts and hence it is quite just to offer classes with some extra amenities for higher prices for those who can afford in order to earn some extra revenue whilst keeping areangement of classes without those extra amenities at lower pricing for those who can not afford or may not need to cater to their demand of safe, secure and fast transportation as well, thus making railways affordable and accessible to dofferent incone groups.

@@idzkk bro it's not about becoming rich. It's about distribution of richness among people. How we can facilitate a common man to ride on bullet train. Gini index of Japan is 31 which shows high level of income parity among people. Income inequality of Japan is on lower side. In India this is not the case. Gini index of India is 41 which shows higher income inequality than Japan. Bullet train will be very good for India. Any public facility project built on public money should be at such cost that it is accessible to all, not to a few.

indian work completion in comparsion with other countries---AVE (Spain): Total Distance is over 3,100 km, and it took 4 years to complete.
Shinkansen (Japan): Total Distance is 515 km (Tokaido Shinkansen), and it took 5 years to complete.

The problem is these trains should be produced in India, technology transfer should be done. Unless or untill we completely indigenise the technology like china has done, it will always be costly to procure from others.

This is where the present government slips up. Its focus is on glitz, glamour, fast trains, new trains, new lines, fancy new stations, and selfie points at stations with the prime minister’s cutouts.
Railways had more than 2.74 lakh vacancies, of which 1.7 lakh related to ensuring safety.
That unplanned hurry in deploying these newfangled trains has resulted in many of them getting delayed, and starving the non-glamorous part of the railways of essential funds.
....the present railway minister is more of a Hindutva supporter than an effective railway minister.
And Unpadh Modi is dreaming of Bullet Trains which he thinks would get him huge number of votes from gullible Voters.
Anyway most of our Legislators and Ministers (mostly crorepathis) travel by Airlines.
