  • The SmartphoneGrip turns your smartphone into an eBike display! In combination with the eBike Flow app, it shows you all important ride data and navigates you reliably to your destination. In this video we explain all the main functions of the SmartphoneGrip.
    00:00 Intro
    00:07 The SmartphoneGrip holds and charges your smartphone securely on the handlebars while you ride. Together with the eBike Flow app, your smartphone becomes your eBike display.
    00:14 Kiox 300 and SmartphoneGrip use the same display holder. The exchange is very simple.
    00:20 This is how you place your SmartphoneGrip on the display holder.
    00:32 If your smartphone has an inductive charging feature, it can be charged wirelessly with the SmartphoneGrip.
    00:47 It can also be charged wirelessly together with a smartphone case. Flip and case covers cannot be used.
    01:03 The smartphone can also be charged via a USB cable.
    01:08 To do this, open the USB cap on the SmartphoneGrip and connect a separate USB cable (not included) to the micro-A/B USB socket.
    01:31 When the smartphone is charged via the associated cable, the LED on the SmartphoneGrip will glow solid blue.
    01:50 To remove your smartphone from the SmartphoneGrip, push it forward with both hands.
    02:03 You can access functions that are used while driving by tapping "Open Ride Screen" in the "Driving" area at the bottom.
    02:14 This is how you plan a navigation, start it, and use the Ride Screen:
    02:47 While riding, operate the eBike Flow app using the LED Remote. Switch the screens with the left and right buttons.
    03:05 Use the plus and minus buttons on the LED Remote to switch riding modes.

    Awesome product, i just got it for my new Stereo Hybrid 160 and it's amazing.
    Yeah, navi in portrait mode will be amazing for Flow but something else is annoying more that i can't change my settings to km/h on Samsung S23 Ultra. I hope that's coming with the next app update!

    This looks like something I will order with my new R&M Nevo 4 at the end of this year. Question: I like all the Bosch features in the app, but really want to use Google Maps and its excellent bicycle route capability in my area. Are there any issues with using Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation on the phone display? Will all the other features here still be available?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  10 місяців тому

      Hello Paul, Google maps has it´s own navigation-voice-software so if you use Google maps, you need to activate the navigation voice.

    Looks good and I'm very tempted. What mounts / arms do I need to upgrade from the Intuvia 100 Smartsystem? Do I need to replace the arm mount that came with the Intuvia 100 comes or are they interchangeable? Also, can this be done myself or do I need to go to a dealer - I'm guessing to get the induction / wired charging there needs to be some wiring done at the dealer end but I could do without that for now. Also, if I'm not fussed with the charging functionality, can I get the same in ride connected experience just using the flow app on my phone with a third party mount (obviously I won't get the wireless / wired charging that way)

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Рік тому

      Hi Aidan, thanks for your interest in the Intuvia100. The arm mount is the same for Intuvia100 and the Smartphone Grip, you would just need a new display interface and the Smartphone Grip itself. Sorry we cannot comment on a third party solution idea but keep in mind like you say the functionality then may be limited. We recommend you visit a dealership to purchase the Smartphone Grip as to make sure this is a genuine Bosch component you can only buy this through a dealership and using their official access to our B2B online store. Your Bosch eBike Team.

      When you get set up with your smart grip/smart conversion, turn on your bike -enter Flow system app - once connected - go to your ride setting (on the bottom)- look for the enter ride screen - click and your phone will convert to landscape view.

    One have to remove the smartphone case. That is not very handy or wise in case of a fall.
    My phone can become very hot in sunshine especially with wireless charging. Is it possible to shut the induction charging off?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  4 дні тому

      Hello ronhoek69, if the temperature is too high, the SmartphoneGrip automatically switches off the charging function. Only for smartphones which don't support wireless charging, you can control when it's charged by plugging in or removing the cable.
      And yes, that's correct - Smartphones with flip covers and cases can't be used. Please also check the following link with the informations how to secure your phone in the SmartphoneGrip: www.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/ebw-bhubrc-smartphonegrip-mounting/asset-asf-00734.

      Hello robertbissell931, the ride screen - the dashboard that displays all relevant information while you are riding - is always in the landscape format. All other functions, such as route planning or changing your settings, are controlled in portrait format. It is not possible to switch to landscape format from there.

      Hi Cozinha Técnica. The SmartphoneGrip is suitable for cycling on reinforced paths without jumps and with few ledges (< 15 cm) at average speeds of between 15 and 25 km/h, for example on asphalt roads, country paths, paths reinforced with gravel or sand, and reinforced woodland paths. Does the screen rotate when you make a turn, or does it stay in one position?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Рік тому

      Hello Cor Van De Wege, While using navigation, if you rotate the Smartphone, it will NOT switch automatically from portrait to landscape, has to be done manually. Once you have started the route in the mobile, you will see black bar with 'rotating screen icon' - you have to click on the button to pass it in landscape. Your Bosch eBike Team.

    Please make it possible to use the ride screen in portrait mode and not just in landscape. It is really impractical to have it switch back and forth between portrait and landscape mode when going in and out of the ride screen. I prefer to have my phone mounted in portrait mode on my bike.

    Just bought one and the idea was to replace my Kiox 300. However, I get the error 1F0200 (No on-board computer connected), as the Kiox is not installed when I put the smartgrip. Tried to find some explanation on the web, on the Flow app, but haven’t found any instruction. On this videos it seems to be a very simple process, but it hasn’t been for me… still trying to find a solution…..😢

    Is it possible to use both a display (e.g. Kiox 500) and the smartphonegrip simultaneously ?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  5 місяців тому

      Hello Maarten, please remember, to be able to use the Kiox 500, you must also have installed the System Controller or Led Remote or Purion 200.
      The SmartphoneGrip is mounted on the same handlebar mount as Kiox 300.
      So you can use one of them as simple conversion.
