The box you said almost looks like a K-mart logo to you is called a "knox box." Basically, it's a standardized, hardened box that contains keys or other means of access to the building that fire departments and emergency services have the ability to open. That way, if there's a fire or other emergency when the building is closed and locked, first responders can still have easy access. Once you know what those are, you'll start noticing them everywhere. They're intentionally kept somewhat discreet, but the local fire department will know where they are on any building that has one.

Yes, that building was built in 1996 when they had the big nationwide expansion and rebranded from 'Boston Chicken" to 'Boston Market". They suffered a slow burn death spiral for several years helped on by Covid. Most of the stores and the menu hadn't been updated in YEARS. The North Olmsted store was the same. One day, just closed. You can read about the end online. It was tragic. Just quit paying salaries and rents, food service suppliers. Their HQ was in Colorado near Denver somewhere and the place got pad locked. They switched CEO's right in 202 at the start of Covid and some Indian Venture Capitalist bought them and finished the off and ran it into the ground. Lots of 'little people' workers got screwed out of MONTHS of salary on the promise of 'next week'. Managers were buying supplies (food) from Costco, Walmart, or local grocery stores in the end to try to stay afloat.
I lived 5 minutes up the road for years. My father still does at the same house. Many good meals shared at this exact location. I subscribed to the channel, being an NEO native myself.
