Personally I didn’t like their high delivery fee, so it made it hard to compete with Best Buy, Lowe’s or Home Depot! Alorica was a call center. Anyone worked there and know more info?

Let’s look at this abandoned Save A Lot in Niles, Ohio: the city that keeps on giving (me content). Only closed in 2024, and they left some lights on, as well as all their shelves. Easily another store could replace it. It looks really nice. Sad to see it empty though. This plaza is also losing their Big Lots leaving 2 big vacancies at the Cafaro owned Great East Plaza.

Let’s look at this abandoned Dillard’s Clearance Center at Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio. Now it’s partially becoming a Dave and Busters, but still some old entrances remain. What’s to become of the rest of the Dillard’s?

This JC Penney was a classic Austintown fixture until it’s closing in 2023. Even before closing it started to be taken over by other businesses. Now it has a new Five Below and is being worked on for a new Gorcery Market Bargain Outlet! There also a Plasma Donation place and Buffalo Wild Wings. Will they leave the old label scar or get rid of it and what else could come in?

Let’s look at this decrepit abandoned flea market that was once a Burlington. The flea market closed earlier in 2024. I’m trying to figure out the years this was a Burlington and I can’t find it. Does anyone have further information?

Let’s look at this abandoned Dollar Tree which moved down the road in Niles, Ohio. This place was used as Spirit Halloween in 2024 but it smelled of smoke. Wonder if Spirit will use it again? The floor tiles are not typical of a Dollar Tree. Was this something else before?

Let’s take a look at the little gray tax place in Niles that sits on top of a hill in front of a plaza at a busy intersection. This place moved down the road. Looks like it could easily be repurposed.

Let’s look at the abandoned Encore Cinema 6 in Niles! closed in 2022, this theater was enjoyed by many and it was devastating when it closed. The movies were only $4! I remember a “cheap theater” when I was a kid called the Parma theater which was since burned in an arson, with cheap tickets like this! The same owner has other theaters in the area, some of which are drive thru.

Let’s look at the Cascade Galleria which used to be called the Town Mall. It opened in the 70s and looks every bit of it! The architecture is beautiful but the city of New Castle has an attitude problem, reminds me a bit of Ashtabula, Ohio. These towns are ridden with drugs and poverty, it’s very sad. The mall mostly hosts community spaces now.

VINTAGE MINI MALL - now it’s all government offices! Monroe Centre in New Philadelphia, Ohio

The downtown mall opened in 1973 and had Weldon’s, Bi-lo and Fishers Big Wheel as anchors. Now there is Tops, Big Lots and Dollar General. There’s an odd mix of stores inside and it’s very outdated and all over the place. There are some historical photos, and several community spaces. What do you think of this vintage mall?
