THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO KEEP THEIR NOSES OUT OF WHAT WE ARE DO OR NOT DOING. WE ELECTED THEM TO DO A JOB THAT AS FAR AS I CAN TELL THEY ARE NOT DOING. MAYBE WE ALL NEED TO PUT THEM ON A DATA BASE AND SCORE THEM ON WHAT THEY ARE AND AREN'T DOING.
There are multiple places where you can find the voting record of every US Congress member. Every so often I stumble upon what I will call attendance records, in other words what individuals attended in person or zoom. Some of the attendance records are a little misleading without context however because a person could be in a Committe meeting or hearing (other words on the floor working) while missing something else happening on the floor. Travel records can be another eye opener; and again often need context. But if a person misses 50% of their votes, 50%-80% of thier Committee meetings, and takes a zillion trips to Club Meds around the world they might not be working as hard for thier constituents back home as some others.
I don't think they want personal (individuals) private property gardeners as much as public property gardens like churches and schools and people who rent garden spaces out. I heard another UA-cam creator say someone put his on the list and he contacted the USDA and they took it off.

They DON'T want you to register your garden. In fact they clearly stated it is for community gardens ONLY. They don't accept gardens on private property.
@@Eman-vp5wk it's a garden at a school, church, community center, on public land, etc. There are different types. Some are a piece of land gardened by a group of people individually or collectively. Normally in community gardens, the land is divided into individual plots. Each individual gardener is responsible for their own plot and whatever they grow belongs to them. Some are a shared, semi-public space where people in the surrounding neighborhood share the work and harvest. The way a community garden is set up and maintained can vary greatly from one to the next.
I recently heard about this from another source. It almost boggles the mind that the government would want and try to have this much control over people's lives. I have lot's of land but I only use a tiny plot to grow a few vegetables each year, most of which I give to family and friends. I'm seventy one and I've gardened most of my life. I'll continue to do so as long as I can, God's will. I will not comply with any garden registration.

I am horrified that the Govt would ask people to register their gardens. I would not comply either. People have gardens to be self sufficient and that is fantastic. And most people share their gardens with others anyway. If the govt provided the land, seeds and tools, it maybe would be more understandable. But they don't. They are NOT asking anyone to register their gardens. They don't allow gardens on private property to be registered. They are only registering community gardens. If he'd have bothered to read the first page on the website it clearly says that.

I just read the website. It’s not mandatory. It’s an invite for people to register to become part of people’s garden initiative. Which has been around since 2009. They are opening it up to more community and school gardens. I see pros and cons with this. I wouldn’t because they don’t need to know what people are growing. I have a feeling they are trying to get their hands on farmers markets and person to person sales.
The gov has been intruding on Farmers markets for years. I first heard this was happening back in early 2000's. Yeah they want everyone to use their round up ready poison Monsanto seeds, private citizens and farmers markets are probably the last of the heirloom seed growers.
I appreciate you sharing this. Too many times these bloggers make everything out to be so dramatic. Maybe it will become mandatory one day but if it isn’t right now, then it shouldn’t be presented as such. Fear mongering helps nobody.

We live on a 400 acre farm. If any so called official of any kind came to the property to try and give us a ticket for a non registered garden they would be told to f*ck off while I'm burning the ticket in front of them and forcing them to leave immediately and never step a damn foot back on the property if they value their lives. That being said, the govt has no business knowing what I'm up to, in any realm, unless I have committed a crime. Folks who lived through the depression told me. They would grow extra for the homeless to forage at night- they never registered a garden. Farmers have always helped their community. Government needs to step out.
My stomach just literally sank and felt sick. We didn’t comply with anything else the last two years so we won’t with this either. Do not comply. Still horrifying what they are doing.
When I was a teenager I joined the 4H club at school and started raising chickens for a project. We kept a few for eggs and such after harvesting the others and they actually turned into pets. My sister had a cat that got really close to them and she would go every afternoon around 5 o’clock and round them up, herd them into the chicken coop. Was kinda cool to watch her go get the chickens and work them like those english shepherds rounding up sheep. Got a little nostalgic watching you put the chickens in the coup.
I have a cat like that. The cat was here first. The chickens have been here about two years now, and she has been their personal security guard since day one! She is right there with them in the backyard during the day as they free range, and every evening at dusk, she will herd them all into the coop and then wait for my husband to come lock them in, and then she will come inside for the night. We didn’t train her to do anything…she just knows somehow.
I heard about this several months ago and there is no way in hell I will register my garden. If they try to force me I will just stop gardening outdoors. I always give produce away to neighbors, friends, family and to local food bank's. I don't need the USDA trying to force me to do what I already do willingly. It makes me happy to share with others and to see how much they appreciate getting fresh produce. Why would I trust an entity that CONTINUES TO GRANT KENNEL LICENSES TO KNOWN PUPPY MILLS. MOST OF THOSE DOGS LIVE IN HORRIFIC CONDITIONS AND AS LONG AS THEY KEEP HAVING LITTER AFTER LITTER THATS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT. I do not trust these government programs and the government overall.

now i'm in my 50's and these kids have no clue what a good day of work is so now im looking for about 20 acres and i will be teaching my grandkids how to garden and run their own small farms
I believe there is much more behind this mandate. The one point I will speak toward is if a garden is registered then the government can levy taxes on the food produced and control what is produced.
You are spot on in not wanting to tell the gov. anything about your garden. I am 85 years young and I have been farming and ranching all my life and I have never taken a gov. check for anything. I have never signed up for any of their programs and have never gotten a check for growing or not growing anything. The less the gov. knows about us the better it is for us.
Every single person in the government is human just like you and me. They are no more or no less than the rest of us. With that being said I will stand by my principles and no one will interfere with me providing for my family and neighbors. Raising my own food and having my own water well insures I know what is going into my body. So kudos to you my fellow homesteader. Best advice I could possibly give you is that you need to get together with every single farmer in your community and as far out as you can reach,and you need to start an alliance with everyone of them get all of you hooked up on group calling of some sort so alert system when one of you is ever approached by FDA sheriffs whoever may show up on your property that y’all call each other right away and everybody shows up on your property fully armed. Also looking to see if you have a local militia, Family farms with no outside support this is how they’re able to do this to all these ma & pa family farms because most of us don’t support each other because we’re too busy trying to support ourselves. this is only when you gonna stop these bastards from coming out to your farm and confiscating everything you have if they think you don’t comply or in a lot of cases fabricating reasons to do so.

Thinking it was a joke, they did show the sign in a video. Someone then went to the u s d a website and used their public information to register their place as a community gar den. The people responsible are/or have already been tracked down and to my understanding there may be charges against the ones who were responsible.

Registering your garden is equivalent to making a contract with the state so that it becomes the owner of your garden and can decide everything there. Registering means giving your consent to this contract.

Actually you don't want pig manure in a vegetable garden. It has a lot of pathogens and is similar to human waste. Use other manure instead and make sure it's aged.

In fact their website clearly states, "These Gardens can be located on federally owned or leased property, at schools, faith-based centers and other places within the community. They cannot be located at private residences."

Any time the government wants you to register anything, it's always so whatever item the government wants to know about is because so they know what resources the government can use for their benefit, not ours.

The academic view of our goverment thats learned in civics assumes the people running the country are honorable people who only want to serve and help the american people. There are farm assistance programs for "new farmers." They require you to register your garden to get on the list to *maybe* get picked for them to help you pay for a VERY restricted list of things for your operation (no exterior fencing, no tractors, no vehicles, no structure repair or building, no crops, irrigation to/from pumps, etc). My sister recommended me to apply so they could help us with our fencing and with getting a high tunnel. I felt the price of my privacy and freedom was too high. I'll figure it out myself.

Hello! Came from Walker Farm Fam, I live in Ohio and I totally agree. I live in the city when they realized how many pools were in town following year at a certain depth of pool we now have to buy a permit yearly even if its completely fenced in our yard. My neighbor last year city sent someone with tape measure and they were in violation and got a warning! Our Beautiful county has changed! God Bless!
Hey fellow Ohioan. Pool permitting is just yet another thing that municipalities use to bring income in. Local governments can act as out of control as the federal and state.

I knew something was up 2 years ago when the Governor here in Illinois tried to ban gardening. If you have preps, you will have to fight to keep them. Something to think about.
I'm experiencing this in willmar mn. The city inspector has threatened me with homelessness if I don't get rid of my survival preps. I can't comply as I'm disabled and 74, so going to obtain needs every week doesn't work for me. Apparently this inspector wants to eliminate population.
The whole point of this is to be able to exercise regulatory control over your personal food source. This allows them to shut you down for whatever reason they choose.
The government realized how quickly during covid how resourceful homesteaders are or the ones that didn't bow down (that's another topic). I will not comply registering my garden.

Pretty sure the whole purpose of having you register your garden would be to tax and eventually take it away. The government doesn't want you to be self sufficient. And with how bad of a situation we are in now, that is what a lot of the country is learning to be again.

When harvest came they all stayed away. When it was supper time they all came running. The little red hen said no. If you can't help me when I'm growing this food you can't partake. A couple of years ago a man in Georgia was forbidden to share his produce with his neighbors. They .. government officials.. eventually confiscated his garden. I’m so glad I ran across this video! I too seen this, it came across my Facebook feed awhile back. I commented about it and also verbally asked friends and family about it. Strangely, seems I was the only one who seen it. To me, this is just another way for the government to control us. This is crazy. Here in Canada, I received a postcard in the mail from the government. It stated that I had to register my well with them. Nope didn't do it. Not going to.

This 'People's Garden' project seems to me that it is being elevated out of the dark since it was stated in 2009. I see it as a competition/replacement/absorbing alternative for 4-H/Agrilife programs including the Master Gardeners' program. Also, opening personal property to the public and advertising locations of food source could put resident owners and property in danger. Probably would have been ok 40-50 years ago when citizens had character and the honor system was respected. Today, there is a tragic disregard for those values. With a threatened food supply, this perspective will generate safety issues.
It may actually BE in order to have bad people raid the gardens. We must keep in mind the goals of these people. Population reduction. Stuffing people into "efficient" cities. Robot labor replacing humans. They HAVE all the money and most of the worldly power. Like Alexander, they look for more to conquer. If you keep that in mind, you have an idea of what to do.
I think this program, like most all govt programs is just something else they throw a bunch of money at with no real result. As far as this being some kind of nefarious tracking system - I think people are blowing it way out of proportion.
This also gives the Government a roadmap when shtf to everyone's garden and food. You know they have tons stockpiled but will sell those maps to desperate people.

The hov was after us yo register our chickens and other livestock and sent several demands about 5 years ago. I just ignored the “requests”. They kept saying they wanted compliance. Then one spring, they sent a debit card with $20 on it, and I filled out their 20 page survey. Yep, if they cared about our livestock, they would not have set up an historic freeze that held our temps below freezing for over 15 days.
I owned a jig grinding (aerospace company) but have since retired. Six years ago the government sent me a letter starting they same. In the middle of the letter it stated that I was required by law to register my company so I immediately tossed it. I am a private citizen of this country and a free citizen.

In times of Crisis or War the government needs to know if you have a garden because they may need to confiscate it for themselves even if it means your family Must Die. Your health and survival is of no concern to them. They just want to know what you have before they come and take it

As a former farm owner you we required to answer all kinds of question on a yearly document that was sent out each year. You wouldn't believe the questions and how long this document was in length. I signed it and sent it back with very few questions they asked answered. I also didn't comply!!'

There are multiple places where you can find the voting record of every US Congress member. Every so often I stumble upon what I will call attendance records, in other words what individuals attended in person or zoom. Some of the attendance records are a little misleading without context however because a person could be in a Committe meeting or hearing (other words on the floor working) while missing something else happening on the floor. Travel records can be another eye opener; and again often need context. But if a person misses 50% of their votes, 50%-80% of thier Committee meetings, and takes a zillion trips to Club Meds around the world they might not be working as hard for thier constituents back home as some others.

@@Eman-vp5wk it's a garden at a school, church, community center, on public land, etc. There are different types. Some are a piece of land gardened by a group of people individually or collectively. Normally in community gardens, the land is divided into individual plots. Each individual gardener is responsible for their own plot and whatever they grow belongs to them. Some are a shared, semi-public space where people in the surrounding neighborhood share the work and harvest. The way a community garden is set up and maintained can vary greatly from one to the next.

I recently heard about this from another source. It almost boggles the mind that the government would want and try to have this much control over people's lives. I have lot's of land but I only use a tiny plot to grow a few vegetables each year, most of which I give to family and friends. I'm seventy one and I've gardened most of my life. I'll continue to do so as long as I can, God's will. I will not comply with any garden registration.

I just read the website. It’s not mandatory. It’s an invite for people to register to become part of people’s garden initiative. Which has been around since 2009. They are opening it up to more community and school gardens. I see pros and cons with this. I wouldn’t because they don’t need to know what people are growing. I have a feeling they are trying to get their hands on farmers markets and person to person sales.
The gov has been intruding on Farmers markets for years. I first heard this was happening back in early 2000's. Yeah they want everyone to use their round up ready poison Monsanto seeds, private citizens and farmers markets are probably the last of the heirloom seed growers.

Folks who lived through the depression told me. They would grow extra for the homeless to forage at night- they never registered a garden. Farmers have always helped their community. Government needs to step out.
My grandparents always had gardens during the great depression,the war,and afterwards and never had to report to the gov't.

When I was a teenager I joined the 4H club at school and started raising chickens for a project. We kept a few for eggs and such after harvesting the others and they actually turned into pets. My sister had a cat that got really close to them and she would go every afternoon around 5 o’clock and round them up, herd them into the chicken coop. Was kinda cool to watch her go get the chickens and work them like those english shepherds rounding up sheep. Got a little nostalgic watching you put the chickens in the coup.

I have a cat like that. The cat was here first. The chickens have been here about two years now, and she has been their personal security guard since day one! She is right there with them in the backyard during the day as they free range, and every evening at dusk, she will herd them all into the coop and then wait for my husband to come lock them in, and then she will come inside for the night. We didn’t train her to do anything…she just knows somehow.
I heard about this several months ago and there is no way in hell I will register my garden. If they try to force me I will just stop gardening outdoors. I always give produce away to neighbors, friends, family and to local food bank's. I don't need the USDA trying to force me to do what I already do willingly. It makes me happy to share with others and to see how much they appreciate getting fresh produce. Why would I trust an entity that CONTINUES TO GRANT KENNEL LICENSES TO KNOWN PUPPY MILLS. Best advice I could possibly give you is that you need to get together with every single farmer in your community and as far out as you can reach,and you need to start an alliance with everyone of them get all of you hooked up on group calling of some sort so alert system when one of you is ever approached by FDA sheriffs whoever may show up on your property that y’all call each other right away and everybody shows up on your property fully armed. Thinking it was a joke, they did show the sign in a video. Someone then went to the u s d a website and used their public information to register their place as a community gar den. The people responsible are/or have already been tracked down and to my understanding there may be charges against the ones who were responsible.

Actually you don't want pig manure in a vegetable garden. It has a lot of pathogens and is similar to human waste. Use other manure instead and make sure it's aged.

In fact their website clearly states, "These Gardens can be located on federally owned or leased property, at schools, faith-based centers and other places within the community. There are farm assistance programs for "new farmers." They require you to register your garden to get on the list to *maybe* get picked for them to help you pay for a VERY restricted list of things for your operation (no exterior fencing, no tractors, no vehicles, no structure repair or building, no crops, irrigation to/from pumps, etc). My sister recommended me to apply so they could help us with our fencing and with getting a high tunnel. I felt the price of my privacy and freedom was too high. I'll figure it out myself.

I live in the city when they realized how many pools were in town following year at a certain depth of pool we now have to buy a permit yearly even if its completely fenced in our yard. This 'People's Garden' project seems to me that it is being elevated out of the dark since it was stated in 2009. I see it as a competition/replacement/absorbing alternative for 4-H/Agrilife programs including the Master Gardeners' program. Also, opening personal property to the public and advertising locations of food source could put resident owners and property in danger. Probably would have been ok 40-50 years ago when citizens had character and the honor system was respected. Today, there is a tragic disregard for those values. With a threatened food supply, this perspective will generate safety issues.
It may actually BE in order to have bad people raid the gardens. We must keep in mind the goals of these people.

It’s not a good thing and it’s crazy that the USDA wants to register our gardens and like you said doubt it would be for the good. They always have a motive that’s not beneficial for us. Thank you always for putting out great content. The animals are looking good as well. Blessings to you all😊

As a former farm owner you we required to answer all kinds of question on a yearly document that was sent out each year. You wouldn't believe the questions and how long this document was in length. I signed it and sent it back with very few questions they asked answered. I also didn't comply!!'

You are 100% Correct!! It is Not their business to know what you do in your house or have garden?? They crossed the Line. You paid your home with your hard working money and labor. 👍
