That was a great idea using the log to smooth out the path!!! New truck looks nice and clean inside, and Boone with his own seat cover looked comfy! Very cool, thanks Sam! 8) --gary
Great stuff. How many hours on er? I think this machine is really clever just curious how its gonna take cali conditions. Seems like lotsa pins. Hows dealer support? Machinery lover here and dig yer operation! Best of luck Cheers from Santa Cruz mountains

Awesome vids! Been running that grapple for a little while now. Compared to the dangle type, would you go the same route if you were to purchase again?
Good question! Also would like to know if the rotator has a neutral position, so that the rotor will follow the load without giving the load any resistance.
If I am not mistaken you have operated both the 8MCR and your current10 MCR, would the smaller machines be able to perform similarly or is the 10 a must have for timber harvesting. I think I am going to order an 8 MCR for spring but screw the rubber track, going metal tracks from the get go and rubber tracks are need later so be it
What does that mecalac cost and how expensive are the attachments? Is it a universal bobcat coupler so you can use existing attachments, or is every proprietary?
@@VBELTandSON Don't discount it completely, its impressive what and where an MWR can go, especially when its dry. Its not a replacement for tracks in certain situations but they are incredibly capable.
@ben If you are working off road with a wheeled machine, dual wheels are the last option you want, the big flotation type tyres are far better for traction.
@@specialistplantsouthwestlt3873 Wheeled excavator are good when they are street legal or you work alot on paved ground. On dirt tracks are way better specialy because the Mecalac is already pretty fast, you probably cant drive much faster on the jobside anyway
Hey Sam I got a question, so those D rings you welded onto the machine, what would happen if you got into an accident and those broke? You would be liable correct?
@@VBELTandSON I was thinking like if you crash and the d rings broke off and the machine hit another car, if a Lawyer knew you put those on I think it would be worse then if it was the factory tie downs, then I believe it would be on them for the failure
Should get a bucket or make a carrier that fits on the blade so small stuff like firewood can be tossed in there and transported off. like this ua-cam.com/video/qaX5-qbKk6U/v-deo.html
That has got to be one of the moat amazing machines I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

That's a really cool machine.
Looks EXTREMELY capable.
I like using the log as a brush to smooth out your tracks.
The fact that it can grab a 3’ diameter 30’ long, spin around, lift it, all while being on a side hill, what a machine
Rly happy for ya bud. I wasn't sure on the mecalec at first but you've changed my mind. Wicked work as always 👍
Love the working videos. It would be nice to see what hoss is running for saws and the maintenance and sharpening routing you guys have.
Thanks Sam awesome video working it good. Take care of yourself and family ❤️❤️👍 it
Been doing a bit of grapple work, nice to see an example of how to work it😂, thanks for sharing Sam 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Bad ass excavator brother and nice work
This machine IS made Near a lake ( lac) in east of France. That s why it s called "mecalac"
Oh that’s interesting. Never knew that
Hopefully Hoss has been working on his new truck can't wait to see it
I can't decide MCR or MWR. Great video
Some fair fast track speed on that machine even carrying a load
Grading beam log..nice!
what kind of communication headset are you using?
Awesome work buddy 👌🏻
I like the machine, but I NEED the grapple!
That mecalac and you running it seems unstoppable, every time I see it on video it impresses me in a different way.
you should get a rollback truck! Love the vids keep up the good work
they are great for hauling equipment in tight areas
I’d like a hook truck but that’s some big money. Someday maybe
whats cedar paying down there now? shorts are 750 up here around seattle
What new headset have y’all been running?
where can i buy that headset? those would be sweeet
Sena coms in it. And harbor freight ear muffs
Would you recommend this machine for residential tree work?
Yeah this machine is great. They make a few smaller ones that still pack a punch

900 now and dealer support is great. I’m very happy with this machine

@@elbuggo Also a good question! After thinking about it I can see how that would be hugely beneficial for moving long material around.
Like a float mode?
Get it!!
It’s like Keenan’s house 😂
This place had more room haha

An 8 is still and awesome machine I like the 10 best
Hey Sam! Is V-Belt almost done building the flatbed for the 4500, so he can put it to work?
He started on it. Photo on instagram
@@VBELTandSON Looking good! Can't wait.

There is an attachment which is in turn compatible with all skid steer tools/attachments.
What do you charge out on a job like this?
Great video what size of Mecalec is that
Thank you 10mcr
How long have you had it and was it new and do you like it

22 ram 5500. Tons of videos on it from buying it to setting it up
You have a number I can call to get my MCR10 turned up?
Sorry I don’t.
Have you tried the mecalac mwr? It’s much faster and it appears to have the same specs. With double wheels wouldn’t it have similar traction?
Road work it would be great. Tires suck off road. Not nearly as stable or not much traction. Tracks best way to go

I have a 91 inch bucket that comes with the mecalac. Machine doubles as a skid steer. Definitely a smart move to have a bucket for volume.
Wow that was painfully slow to watch.
The necklace is super cool tho .
To bad your such a slow and rammy operator.
