Bit of a warning though. Here in sweden we have used the tilt rotator for many years and it has gone so far that you will never get hired if you not have a TR mounted on machines from 3 tons an upward.That results in people that worked outside the machine (the guy with the shuffle and laser stick) ... ((i don´t know what you call them in ennlish)) misses out on many jobs. Becaus the more the excavator can do alone, the more the excavator gonna have to do alone.The demand of doing everything by your self just gets higher and higher. So you dont´t need the guy outside the excavator in many cases. And thats bad for the machine owner. He has to buy this new expensive equipment that sometime breaks, and can hardly even get paied for this equipment. And it doesn´t stop here. Now it slowly but surely gets in to next level equipment for the same size machines. Namely machine control! I don´t know if you heard of it is. It is a gps based system that shows you exactly where your bucket are in relative to planet earth. And this system costs about the same as a big TR... if not more. AND it will take away even more jobs from the outside guy, + it soon will be the same story as it is with the TR. Everybody´s gonna demand it. If you don´t have it, somebody else will get the job. And you will loose hours, cus the job is going faster. Don´t get me wrong. I also use TR and I can hardly work without it theese days. I just saying that it might hurt you as a machine owner. If you look to the US you might think they have old and crappy non electronic machines, but if you think about it... it creates work for the machine + sometimes 3 guys outside doing different stuff. They might be on the right path :)
Yes I see your point alot more people are using machine control GPS now and it is a very expensive addition. I see they use alot of older machines in the US which I think is great it's a shame that so many good reliable machines have to be exported because people aren't able to use them any more on sites!
