- I know one thing after buying and trading bows for as long as I have. Just because you dont like what a bow company puts out one year doesnt mean you wont love what they come up with the next. Just like that PSE is back on my radar. PSE made some awesome additions to the fortis including some of my favorite cams to date the EC2's.
I just got the fortis 33 e2. Truly great draw and excellent shooting bow

I would have went with the 33 same speed 2 times the stability I'm definitely thinking hard on the 33 I like the idea of having a hunting bow that can shoot target scores.
I'd love to see a review on the new pse unite. It is looking like an interesting one for this year
I have an Omen, put the new limb dampeners and a hi-tek dampener on the lower stabilizer mount. It is a rocket ship that the shot cycle is awesome! Love your reviews, keep 'em coming!

I shot and bought this bow with the e2 cam. Shot great
have to agree on the evo cams compared to the e2/s2 my nxt 33 is like butter compared to my xf s2 not sure its worth the extra 6-8 fps gain. shoots good but it will wear you the hell out after about an hour of shooting!! the nxt can be shot all day long! best reviews on youtube my brother!! and to the comment about the xf coming with evo cams, yes they did but they are hard to find.
I would have given PSE an 8/10 or 9/10 in Tech category for the improved tunability. The EZ220 spacer system allows easier cam lean shimming (5 minute pro shop shim swap or buy the $60 kit for DIY). Will be nice if they extend this system across the line and retain it for 10 years. The wider tracks for the EC2 yoke cables makes them more effective for twist fine tuning (before they had minimal effect). 10/10 tunability would be Elite or Bowtech with micro adjustable cam lean tuning.

I set up my fortis 30 yesterday, great bow, really fast, its only 4 fps slower than my omen with the same cam(EC2), it is 2.5 pounds heavier than the omen though. I would have to shoot them side by side but it seems a little louder than my nxt 31 was with a little more hand shock
If you didn't know, John Dudley actually came up with the idea of the picatinny rail before Matthews integrated it in there bows. It's debatable on who actually came up with it first, however Matthews does get credit for it since they actually integrated and made it public. When John dudley brought this idea to the pse engineers they thought he was crazy and said something about "the industry wouldn't accept it" in a podcast with lancaster Archery.
I’ve heard that to bad they didn’t listen to him, hopefully next time he pitches a great idea someone will take action
One thing that used to bug me years ago was at the ATA show mathewwould have some new and PSE would copy it immediately. That's why mathews started their own show.
Most of the features on this bow is borrowed
Seems like the short stop stabilizers came from mathews tech with their harmonic dampener protruding from the bottom of the riser.
I agree, I think most companies that have tried to add go with the short stop stabilizer style which is a small rubber peice that can unscrew and be used for a low stabilizer mount, but I agree that Hoyt added on to a Mathews idea
I'm a big pse fan and would like also to see a review on the bear execute 30 or 32. I'm thinking of Trying lol

Foris is slow for short draw archers omen and xf is where you what to be with s2 cam
You should have shot the evo xf with the ec cam. The riser is the same as fortis, I don’t know why you think the balance is different. You forgot to mention the holes drilled on the riser for the hamskea cor mount, I think pse is the only one that does that. Pretty much a evo xf version 2. Good bow very similar to the xf. By the way, the charcoal color is pretty slick.
Xf 30 had only two cams offered and the s2 went out to 29 at the draw length, my only option was the e2 cams, and cams can have a very diff affect on the balance of a bow, but I don’t think I even had anything neg to say in the evo xf review on balance if I’m rem correctly for a 30 in axle to axle bow it wasn’t bad.

They had 3 cams. E2, s2 and ec.
@@ericgmathe I know but I’m pretty sure they only offered the two for the fx30 but I could be mistaken, and even if they did I’m pretty sure draw length did not reach 30 inches

What two piece quiver would you recommend for this?
I do a lot of spot and stalk close country and cannot have a flimsy 1 piece.
This is the only consideration holding me back compared to a hoyt/mathews with their slick factory offerings.
Pse eclipse or a 2 peice tight spot
Do you like this bow over Hoyt vtm? Or vice verse
I prefer the vtm, will be in the top 5 of the year, but the fortis was a nice suprise from pse

The picaniny rail was John Dudleys idea. Pse just didn't put it out.

Mathews doesn’t have a pic rail and if that’s the case that was a stupid move, was a great idea not to follow through with

@@BackyardBows my opinion only here, I feel with the selling of pse to a start up outdoor investment group isn't exactly ideal, we've seen it in the past with many archery companies over the years and it was a dead end.
