- That Peter Kay Thing is a series of six spoof documentaries shown on Channel 4 in 2000. It was written by Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, Neil Fitzmaurice, and Gareth Hughes, and was directed by Andrew Gillman. The series was narrated by Andrew Sachs. Set in and around Bolton, each episode functions as a self-contained documentary following a different set of characters, many of them played by Kay… and these are the BEST MOMENTS from that series!

The bingo series would be very funny as Peter just showed with REAL public playing the bingo customers , The real bingo customers,are much more funnier than anyone trying to act as them

Where were the In the Club clips, and the Bingo Hall break-room jokey clip with a young Clinton Babtiste and a younger, Sian Gibson, making an appearance. Bingo hall would have made a good 6 ep. series, Tom Daley was an awesome character.

That Peter Kay thing is still the best thing he ever did. Phoenix nights is also good but everything else is downhill from there
Your career however went the other way didn't it. Started off fairly mediocre but oh boy look at you now you absolute game changer!
Agreed. Road to Nowhere was decent but really didn't think much of the stuff he did after that. His writing suffered when Dave Spikey stopped working with him.

This is a compilation someone has put together of what they consider the best bits but in reality most of this whole series was great. The Ice Cream Man episode as a whole was comedy gold.
