Quick question! does your secret 5k boost go on your mid or side if using M/S EQ for mastering? Thank you your videos have given me the confidence to release music soon!
I know my room and speakers and how a finished track sounds in them…I listen to reference tracks all the time so when I play an unmastered track it’s obvious if it’s dull or boomy etc
This is great advice! Thank you streaky!
Streaky never disappoints.
Kinda changed the question you were answering about half way through.
THX FOR THE TIPS
So when you work in these four frequency ranges. Do you split them up and listen solo one area at a time, ever?
That's What i wanted to ask aswell, and how do you divide them do you use multiband, or Graphic Eq?
No listening how it’s making the rest sound
Thanks Streaky for this channel and advice. Do you have any videos or tips for how I can great a good vocal EQ for a podcast? (Using an SM7B)
Streaky, with your experience, how long does it usually take you to master one song from start to finish? Or how long for an album?
30 to 45 a track and it gets quicker per track if you’re doing an album from the same studio /mixer etc
Very good advice and approach that one can replicate...rather than "do magic".

Progressive trance style music if that helps differ
Are you bandpassing each range?
No just listening in that area
Thanks Streaky!
Too simplistic. How do you determine what’s wrong. What are you looking for?
