What about if I want to add B roll to my project but I want my A Roll audio playing over it …..is that possible? I have a video podcast and I want to add the b roll clips parts but have my podcast audio from my a role-play continuously over the b roll clips and can’t seem to figure out how to do that
You commented on my B-roll video, the solution is shown there. Drag the video (B-roll) onto a selection you make in text and it won't replace the text and audio, it will add the B-roll on top.

I didn’t understand something where the Descript is - it’s an analogue of Camtasia?
Not really. Maybe Camtasia + Audiate combined.

Tutorials, mostly recording and editing in Camtasia. Descript for podcasts, interviews, etc.
