Wow! That's a clever pike, with all the non-level ground, the grades, the tunnels, the flat-places-with-many-tracks; quite a trip for the eyes. Well done!
Central Florida Railroad Modelers...you guys outdid yourselves!!!! WOW....what an incredible layout!! I loved it...especially the amazing detail!!! I also love the different levels (as far as height). Thank you so much for sharing!! You guys kick ass!
This was enjoyable. This was surely a team project. I cannot imagine all of the hours that went into detailing this layout. It was nice to see the gentlemen who probably built the layout. I will plan on seeing this in person next month on my trip to Orlando. Thank you all for doing this.
Pretty cool. I'm 45 now but when I was a kid my dad built me an HO scale layout in one of our spare rooms and somehow hid it from me until Christmas morning. It was made to fold out of a wall and it was as big as the wall, roughly 15 feet long and 5 feet wide. This was back in the early 1980's and I still have most of the trains including a really nice steam loco with smoke effect which was amazing back then. I have some HO scale trains now with the snap together tracks so my sons and I can put together a layout on the living room floor. I bought a couple newer loco's like a 4-8-4 and a BNSF diesel. One day I may build a realistic layout.
This is a very nice video of a wonderful layout. I noticed that there is adequate isle space for the amount of mainline and sidings. The next time I fly to FL to visit the kids I'll bring one of my locos.
A great railroad, a super ride on the CFR, when I am in Orlando, Florida the next time I will look you guys up, I would like to see the railroad up close, that way I can get to appreciate the work that has gone into the making of this great railroad, thanks for sharing guys, really great
Wow! An epic ride, I was trying to keep a mental map in my head but had to give up about half way through, too many loops for me sir. Excellent scenic design. Thank you.
+Randy Jaerger I started to write a reply, got distracted and accidentally switched my reply off. So I'll do it again: Thanks for the compliment on 28 Days Later but all I did in that picture was lay in the road semi-naked while a (camera) helicopter flew over several times as the point of view for the Hunter jet fighter in the film. It was very cold and a cop holding up traffic in Hoenester Pass (UK, Cumbrian Hills) told me, between takes, I looked exactly like they find lost hill walkers just before they die of hypothermia! Later, back at the hotel, a hot shower and some alcohol brought me back to life. If I ever make over to your side of the Atlantic Ocean again I'll certainly call by. Your railway is exactly like the layout I've always planned but, of course, never got round to actually making. That's why your work is so important, for lazy people like me who dream. Especially cab-rides where we can see all your hard work in detail. Give my regards to your crew who made it happen.
Only thing I can find wrong is in the consist. You don't need the ditch lights on the second loco. Otherwise +++ on the layout. I love watching the engine with the camera mounted in the front of the consist. Simply amazing.
OK... I noticed a lot of the buildings were illuminated and had interiors, I'd really like to what went into making that happen. Secondly, thanks for the mighty fine train ride... I really enjoyed it! :)
Incredibly well done layout imo, hope we get more great cab ride videos as things get completed or updates are made. Only thing that would make a better video (but it's hard I guess) would be if the members at least didn't pay the camera or train any attention. The gigantic humans really do detract from the mood a cab ride video tries to set.
The other thing is inside the tunnels. There is no detail inside the tunnels. If you could add some realistic rock to the inside of the tunnels it would enhance the layout to perfection.
Awesome ! What an experience riding in the cab just like an engineer. Where r you located in Florida ? We would love to come and see your layout in person . if possible ?
Great job on perfectly aligned rails. I'd bet you used lasers to keep it straight. Well worth the effort. It shows. Better than most! Congratulations! Next... finished realstic tunnel innards. As a suggestion to all model railroaders on vids, seeing a human giant always spoils the realisim of the demo unlike european presentations which keep it real.
Fantastic layout. Need to work on the authenticity, and continuity. Modern mining trucks? Out of place. Old cars and trucks but modern trains? Excellent detail though.
AMEN!!! This is not the first time running these trains, so why does he keep checking on the engine and getting his face in the video. 1960's TV show Land of the Giants.
Let em'' go into the Shithouse to stand and talk (( and pizz as well )) however no-one wants to watch a bunch of GIANTS acting like gooses ...we want to watch trains and NOTHING ELSE....
@@filthyphil1000 : Oh don't be like that, without them we'd have nothing to watch. Although I have to say those guys are of a definite shape - in the UK we tend to call them 'hunch fronts' as referring to a gentleman's bear belly is considered rather rude and personal. Well done and carry on chaps!
Some pretty ridiculous comments by a few of you, no graffiti on the cars because most of the rolling stock is owned by club members; to each their own. Why do we have mountains and hills in Central Florida that’s because the layout actually represents West Virginia… As far as what was actually videotaped it’s pretty spontaneous it wasn’t planned out so that’s why there’s only one train running the lights weren’t dimmed and people were in the way.
Very nice. Loved the cab ride. If you are in Wilson, NC at the Antique Barn and Hobby Shop stop by. Our club (Wilson Area Railroad Modelers) layout is upstairs. The hobby shop has a full inventory of trains and RC equipment. I'm the president of the club and would love to have you stop by.
How about asking Colonel Sanders and his buddy in the green shirt to stop sticking their faces in front of the camera and looking into the tunnels, etc. They ruined a great video!
I've seen good layouts that gives the illusion of a real trainride, this was not one of them. The tunnels, trees, buildings and rock structures look cartoonish.
I only have one locomotive F-45 Santa Fe and 5 passengers car's can't afford to buy a new one I don't like the sound mrc decoder.
Wow! That's a clever pike, with all the non-level ground, the grades, the tunnels, the flat-places-with-many-tracks; quite a trip for the eyes. Well done!
I quite enjoyed the cab ride and your amazing layout. I do hope you weathered the hurricanes well.

Except for the giant humans in every shot 😑
That was a mind blowing ride. Liked the speed you ran train. Thanks to all. Just fricken cool.

I LOVE THIS LAYOUT!!!!
Fascinating multilevel layout!
Excellent layout and very enjoyable video. Many thanks.
Wow for Wonderland :-) What a great track ! Im realy impressed :-) Keep up the good job !
Very well done guys I love the structures! Two rail is nicer than three rail.
The switches are nice and prototypical.
Spectacular
Great scenery, really enjoyed this cab ride.
Very nice layout guys, love the rock work and the smoke stacks nice touch, enjoyed the ride.
Magnifique, un vrai voyage!

The most scenic cab ride I've had, period.
Great buildings, etc. You need someone to add sky and flat mountains to the walls of the room.
very very nice layout beautiful cab ride I loved it crystal clear video well done

Only thing I can say is, "WOW". What an amazing layout. Ya'll got it goin' for sure.

Yeah I saw that on those Santa Fe Dash 9's with all ditch lights on and flashing
Nice video .. I don't mind the 1:1 people :) .. will have to stop by next time I'm in Orlando
Love that building at 8:51
OK... I noticed a lot of the buildings were illuminated and had interiors, I'd really like to what went into making that happen. Secondly, thanks for the mighty fine train ride... I really enjoyed it! :)
Great Layout
Awesome layout!
Now do this exact run again, but with the house lights off and some fog for atmosphere. You have an unbelievable set up there.
1500 inches of track, multiply by grade number of 83 equals 124500 feet, or 23.5 miles of track.
smoke coming out if chimney stack. Brilliant.
FREDs don't work during daylight hours, just at night.

I don’t live in Florida but I love to go there
Not sure I could stand the sound of a washing machine for too long! 😊
very nice ell done KERNAN
I couldnt stop laughing at the bald guy moving his brow over and over again, like every time we seem him he lifts his brow over and over lol
That personality trait made his girl marry him.
Great Layout and detail. One suggestion. Have the operator of the train look into the proper horn signals. He need tutoring.
Everybody is so critical. I/m happy to have this video. Turn your volume down...
All good but no train without speed can be enjoyable journey....
I cant imagine how long it took to build this an how many track feeders an power boosters
Some of the tunnels are very short w/ little overhead earth. Most Class 1 RRs would have day lighted them
I love trains I never been on one I think I was on one long time ago
Cabride would improve by driving at least 1.5 x faster and by losing the selfies. Everything else is fine. Thanks for the ride!
The other thing is inside the tunnels. There is no detail inside the tunnels. If you could add some realistic rock to the inside of the tunnels it would enhance the layout to perfection.
What does the W sign mean 2:31? Very detailed RR was good rolling stock. Got a thumbs up.
Jose Silva
G Scale
Jose Silva G Scale it's a whistle board. Informs the engineer when to start blowing the horn for the grade crossings.
A+!
Excellent Photo Ride, THE ANTHRACITE MINER, Photo Galleries, MR Magazine
Guess all the signals haven't been put in yet. A lot of major diverging routes didn't have any. And the engineer ignored some of them.
This layout is fantastic. How is it being powered with so much track?
Crossing gates should be at right angles to the road and not parallel to the tracks.
Awesome ! What an experience riding in the cab just like an engineer. Where r you located in Florida ? We would love to come and see your layout in person . if possible ?
In Orlando
Great looking layout, But need to run more traffic then ONE, seen the same thing TEN times.
Cool😄
NO RR would ever build that huge long bridge when there's very usable land right next to it !
A good video except for all the loud chatter
Anyone have details on the camera doing used to record I’d?
It’s in the end of the description.
what kind of building has a 40 foot high ceiling
This building does
Arizona and new mexico model railroads
Fantastic layout. Need to work on the authenticity, and continuity. Modern mining trucks? Out of place. Old cars and trucks but modern trains? Excellent detail though.
A super great railroad, but the guy's face looking in the tunnel openings ruined the effect of traveling in a cab.
AMEN!!! This is not the first time running these trains, so why does he keep checking on the engine and getting his face in the video. 1960's TV show Land of the Giants.
Agreed, totally uncalled for.
Central Flordia? What with the mountains? and tunnels
@Aussie Pom Ok?
Very nice layout, but to many people walking around. Very distracting.
It's a club and club members pay dues so,they have the right to stand and talk.
Let em'' go into the Shithouse to stand and talk (( and pizz as well )) however no-one wants to watch a bunch of GIANTS acting like gooses ...we want to watch trains and NOTHING ELSE....
They need to watch the trains. Do you know how a club works?
Watch the trains not the people...

ABSOLUTELY GREAT BUT WHY THE LOUD CHATTER AND VISUALS OF THOSE WHO RUN THIS THING. NOT INTERESTED IN THEM JUST THE TRAINS.

Tru railroad!
Santa Fe DID NOT have flashing ditch lights!
y a pas assez de tunnel noir et sa traine
How about asking Colonel Sanders and his buddy in the green shirt to stop sticking their faces in front of the camera and looking into the tunnels, etc. They ruined a great video!
Destroys the realisim experience. Im just going to quit watching these things. The Porsche RR was best for Zero old and bald giants appearing.
Oh man you done did it calling him Colonel Harland Sanders lol
Huge layout
Would like to visit

Great layout and video... just need a little graffiti on some of those cars and get those guys out of the way.

Don't chew your nails!!!!
Showing parts of layout w/ no scenery is VERY BORING!
Must you looking everytime at the camera ? TERRIBLE
