Derek and Carat & Co., thanks for showing me this piece today in your wonderful store. I've spent the last several years looking though all the boutiques and stores in NYC for a simple, classic, legible lapidary-looking watch like this. This fits superbly well, hugging the wrist just right. I think I can say that this VC 82172 is now my new grail!
Great video - I just got my 82172 in 18k 5N Rose Gold last week, and I learned more watching this short video than I did at the boutique, the manufactures site or in the packaging! Great video....
Just placed an order for the rose gold version. I was struggling to decide between this and the Breguet 5157. This video helped me decide. Great channel thanks!
Thinking the same thing. The breguet would win but I've not tried either on and the straight lugs seem like a deal breaker for me. Also looking at lange, 1815 in rose gold and the older saxonia thin
How do you have so few subs? I just found this today searching the reference and you’ve never been recommended before. I’ll be going through your content catalog and watching new uploads. Well executed video!
Thanks for the detailed explanation and great macro shots. Love the channel. If you could do a review on the Vacheron Fiftysix Date in steel i would be grateful. There are no macro videos out there yet. Curious if it is up to par with the Traditionelle in sense of dial finishing.
Great video! Superb in depth knowledge to possibly the best dress watch ever made. And great Reference to the MCU! The toy collector side of me just gave you a standing ovation!
Carat & Co. Watches & Jewelry I personally think there are a lot of videos of Rolexes and Patek out there. But you have such a good opportunity to do videos of Vacheron Constantin. There aren’t many videos of your caliber and quality about VC other than Watchbox. I’d love to see more about their simplest watches which are on the affordable end like the Patrimony models or Traditionelles like you did to even their higher end metier pieces. Otherwise, just do watches you’re passionate about and let the channel grow. Get more people to visit your site or visit your shop. Ask people to subscribe to get more followers. Thanks!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes I agree and we want to tap into pieces that we think deserve some more spotlight! Will start drafting the next one soon then. Hope all is well with you!
@@MinuteMon Thank you for making such great videos. I think there's another channel that is similar to how you're doing things called Bijou Diamonds. I think they are an authorized dealer for Rolex and Patek, so they typically focus on those pieces. However, again, I feel like most of the watch community is focused on Rolex and Patek so there are a lot of videos on these brands. But there's not much for Vacheron Constantin watches. Truth be told, I personally like Vacheron Constantin as a company and their pieces more. I just checked your website and you have a surprisingly large inventory of available pieces from Vacheron Constantin, so you can totally focus on this one brand alone on top of what you've already been doing for Grand Seiko. For what it's worth, I like Omega watches more than Rolex, too. I have a Moonwatch and Seamaster 300 from many years ago as well as a Submariner, but I still find myself wearing the Seamaster 300 a lot more. So you can always do more videos of the Seamaster and Aqua Terra line of watches, too. Good luck!
@@tryptobphan Thanks so much for your insights and for your support to this channel! VC makes incredible watches and we think they definitely deserve more shine as well along with some of the other brands we have in our shop. The Seamaster 300 is an underrated collection and has some of the best designs!
Hello, I enjoyed your great video. I'm currently trying to buy one between Patrimony and Traditionelle, so what are the pros and cons of each? For your information, I am 184 centimeters tall and my wrist is about 17.8 centimeters. Both models are so cool that I have a lot of worries, so I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice on the pros and cons of each model and what to consider when choosing it! Thanks :)
Gorgeous watch. But i would expect the finishing to be better; 4:32 into video, look carefully at the small seconds rail track at 10 secs: the rail track has broken up somewhat.
which is basically the Maltese Cross, as the Sovereign Military Order of Malta adopted the heraldic cross from the Hospitallers, who settled in Malta in the 16th Century
I wonder what the watch's precision is when worn on wrist? When folks talk about such top shelf pieces, daily rates and stability of rate is never mentioned. It is as if performance of the watch is too mundane a subject when waxing poetically about all its wonderfulness of styling, elegance, and finish.
Usually these brands don’t list their daily accuracy in wearing conditions but in static conditions we’ve seen that this Traditionnelle runs extremely well at around +2 seconds a day.
THIS is my grail watch! So simple, SO GOOD! Just breathtaking!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Congrats on your new VC Traditionnelle! Thanks for the kind words Paul, hope you enjoy your watch!
excellent lighting and photography, the detail shown here is stunning.
Fantastic review! Absolutely in love with this piece, especially the WG but that pink is a close second! 🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏
Thank you Derek and Carat & Co for helping me getting my grail dress watch. Hope to visit the store one day!

Derek, What is your favorite everyday watch from VC?

Thanks Mike!
A very good dress watch from major brands.
If not, one of the BEST!
I agree it is superb. No additional comment is needed.
Beautiful watch that matches your fine suit!
White gold VC traditionelle is the epitome of class
Amazing review 👌🏻 perfect high end dress watch
Wow. Amazing watch.
Agreed 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!
This watch is spectacular love the WG!
Excellent review of a beautiful watch

Vacheron Constantin is Founder and Oldest member of the Haute Horology . choosing this watch shows Taste and Class.

Glad someone finally got the MCU reference! 😉
Great video, man! So well done!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it
Eterna's logo comes to mind.
Awesome watch and very nice video. I hope you do more on your other watches.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. What kind of videos would you like to see next?

Hello, I enjoyed your great video.

Did you ever find out the answer to this?
I know that there're others, but for decades I've felt that Vacheron Constantin is the epitome.
The epitome of what?
@@baxoutthebox5682 wrist watch craft? Jesus! I had to spell that out?
The pink gold version is stunning. Although I must say it looks too big on your wrist.
White gold for me then :)

it's just the lighting reflection
I have a vacheron constantin geneve with reference number 81272 on it was I scammed?
Wish they did a small seconds in rose gold w/ blue dial.

What’s the lug-to-lug measurement ? I didn’t hear it mentioned in this review
I have one, it's almost 46mm.
The question is buy this or the steel overseas 4500v blue. The steel is sportier and more robust but this one has a gold case
You could get both! 😆
This is limited edition ?
No, these are not Limited Edition pieces
Gutted they discontinued this 😢
@Cheeshhhh white gold? Think it’s gone
Dreamwatch....
I’m there with you!
May I ask what your wrist size is? It looks perfect on you.
My wrist size is about 6.5, it fits me like a charm! I haven’t seen it not fit well on any wrist though
Is the white gold more versatile as it can be worn better with jeans and tshirt too??
I would say so, but the black leather is way more formal than the medium brown. Ideally they would swap the bands, which is possible.
great looking, albeit a bit too big for his wrist

Thanks for watching Howard!
