Great video Alexander. You're right, it's very much an old style curiosity inc video. I love how involved the owners are, so knowledgeable and willing to donate items to places where they would be best suited.

That happened to me once. I drove an hour to pick up old books and the lady saw my interest and decided she wanted to research to see what she could get for some of them on eBay and then when I found a cool old post card, she wanted it. In the end I did get some stuff, but told her next time, don't advertise something you aren't willing to part with, wasting people's time and gas money.

Lovely things and I wish they were more ready to sell. They were so lucky to have Alex there. Sometimes, if donated items don't sell at charity thrift shops. They get thrown out. Even museums give away items at times. Would have been better to sell old clothes to Alex so he could sell to others who actually go wear them. Hope they have Alex back when they are ready.

I’m from North Carolina In America and I’ve found letters from a Canadian soldier from WW1. It’s from 1916 when he was in camp getting ready for war and then in war. There’s one letter that has a piece of sheet music that he found in a bombed house in Normany and sent home. It tells of being in the front line and things he could never unsee. Don’t know if you would’ve interested in the letters but we love finding papers from our soldiers in war.

I was thinking the same thing. They were lovely people but perhaps weren't sensitive to the fact he didn't come there to hear their life history, only to come away wirh very little. He is always patient and kind. But I had a feeling from the way the people hovered and even took things out of Alex's hands that they were sentimental and might not be ready to sell much. Hopefully they will eventually realize it's too much to save and too much to individually sell on their own. Hope that didn't come across as too judgemental.

You should have been firm with them about selling. Them donating to the museum is not as good as you think . Museums throw 80 % of thier donations away. Thats were i get alot of my stuff is the trash from museums . Because they see what they can fit in or use then throw out. They also are nice to people and accept all the stuff even though they didn't want it.
So you should put a price on things to see if they sell the post cards sell up to 100 bucks for each card if your willing to lust them one by one on ebay for auction.
