Fun fact, from my experience with it (I work with metal fabrication) if it gets tangled up in your shirt all the way, you will be pretty much okay. If it breaks the material, you will have a bad day. I have three scars and a number of cuts on my hands from angle grinder related accidents. The wheel with wires is the worst as far as pain goes and it also likes to jump around. I learned a long time ago to respect all power tools and they will kill you in a heart beat if you don’t respect them, I’ve gotta above all these the Jointer and the table router are truly some of the most dangerous common power tools, I’ve personally seen someone using a 8” jointer have the board hit a knot and get shot out and just absolutely mangle someone’s had which they had to have amputated due to the severity and I’ve also personally injured my fingers in the router table which is terrifying
Also Backyard Scientist: Watch me put molten iron in this small fish tank filled with chemicals that make it explode while wearing flip flops and shorts
To be fair, short of getting yourself a full set of plate armor the angle grinder chainsaw attachment is deadly regardless of how much safety gear you are wearing. The most dangerous thing you would normally attempt to do with a chainsaw is a plunge cut leading with the tip, and with the grinder wheel version you can only do plunge cuts and the whole thing is tip, and it is even more dangerous because the angle grinder operates at much higher RPMs

I doubt safety glasses would help against wooden stick flying at 90+ mph. Of course it would help against flying debris. But all in all such experiments require some basic precautions of which there were none.
My school had all your stuff protected with your ID that is conveniently searchable in each student's email, and your birthday as password. They also gave out a handy list of all birthdays so that you can tell people happy birthday...
The thing with angle grinders is they're dangerous, but can be a whole lot safer if used right. Always try to use the side handle, wear a leather apron or welding jacket, use the guard, and wear gloves. My welding jacket and leather apron have saved me from getting hurt so many times. A few times a drill bit snapped and the drill slipped then got caught in my jacket, numerous times from sparks and loose wire wheel pieces, and just getting burned in general.
Ah... All the things I love to do! Abuse innocent pieces of sheet metal and mannequins! Keep on keepin' on!!! Happy holidays to you and yours and y'all have a wonderful New Year!!!
@Nicholas Owan - No joke... Just have a lot of family and friends that either by religion or by some other reason celebrate the season, but not specifically Christmas, so instead of going through the list of possibilities (Hanukkah ...etc), It's just easier to use the term holidays so all the bases are covered.
I'm a millwright and I was working outside during winter wearing wool gloves and I caught one in a wire wheel on my grinder and wow was it hard and fast. Didn't even comprehend what had happened until my hand was completely pulled into the grinder and it wound up in my glove. I was lucky and only had scratches. Always remember leather gloves, and get winterized ones if you work metal outside in the winter. Also, I highly recommend a grinder with a break and bind protection so the grinder halts if it ever binds.
EVERYONE IS TELLING ME TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES IN THE SHOP NOW AND I ALMOST HAD MY EYE TAKEN OUT TWICE! HOLY CRAP UNIVERSE ILL WEAR THEM FROM NOW ON!!! I SWEAR!
The Red Robot he’s not wearing enough protective gear if it shot off he could have been seriously injured I work in a metal shop and those metal brushes are a lot sharper than you think I wouldn’t even call them a brush if it were up to me
I also had a loose shirt get sucked into an industrial chop saw where a 15” blade comes up out of the table when you press a foot pedal that was a close one . Ripped my shirt all the way to the neck line.
I was once working in a metal factory and there we had circlular saw blades used in angle grinders, for the aluminium. There was one accident when the grinder bounced from the objective and cut one worker straight in the face. He lost few teeth, his cheeck was cut in half, I think maybe also his jaw bone and there was ALOT of blood. There were pieces of his head all around the working area. Now he is fine but has ”Joker scar” on his cheeck tho.
And the angle grinder is used the wrong way(The Handle was on the wrong side), you should always cut towards your self, for better control. I think he should get a hardhat, glasses and gloves, that is kind of the standard safety rule every country has.
The reason the grinder kicked back at you at 11:43 was because you have the wheel spinning into the material when this happens the grinder wants to pivot off your hand and dig the disk further in causing it to catch more. The much safer alternative is to have the disk spinning the other way so it drags the grinder forward which causes it to what to spin out of the material preventing it from catching.
I've always wanted to see what that looked like, a piece of wood being catapulted by a saw. The other thing I wanna see in slo-mo is a router bit or cutter head breaking. With those high RPMs, the results are reportedly quite spectacular.

Make a fully automatic, magazine fed, table saw launcher.
I can imagine the casualties already...

it would work if it were top loaded
I had to read this twice, I thought you meant something that's going to catapult the table saw

*Shoots rod at metal using kickback from a table saw and doesn't wear safety glasses... nice ;)
I doubt safety glasses would help against wooden stick flying at 90+ mph. Of course it would help against flying debris. But all in all such experiments require some basic precautions of which there were none.
5:52 - PEW! Had to rewatch a few times. The sound is wonderful.
This is why you need safety glasses.
*Loads revolver*
Lol
Vis. your "hacking" story, as an IT professional, I can confidently state that you weren't the only one in that story who made a rookie mistake!
My school had all your stuff protected with your ID that is conveniently searchable in each student's email, and your birthday as password. They also gave out a handy list of all birthdays so that you can tell people happy birthday...

It’s a 22lr shot by air pressure. So still a bullet
still shoots a metal bullet
Obviously youve never been to America but bb guns are as powerful as a real bullet, thats why you cant take them to school
If anything he is using a high power airsoft gun or a pellet gun
@@brownbearsarecool why tf would you bring any kind of gun to school
The thing with angle grinders is they're dangerous, but can be a whole lot safer if used right. Always try to use the side handle, wear a leather apron or welding jacket, use the guard, and wear gloves. My welding jacket and leather apron have saved me from getting hurt so many times. A few times a drill bit snapped and the drill slipped then got caught in my jacket, numerous times from sparks and loose wire wheel pieces, and just getting burned in general.

I believe those are saftey sunglasses. I think he talked about them in a past episode.

Ah... All the things I love to do! Abuse innocent pieces of sheet metal and mannequins!

I'd like to see that launcher go up against thicker building materials. Starting with laminates.
@@Bl4ckw0lf1 -Ooo... That would be awesome! I'd like to see that too!!!
you forgot the watermelons
A pressurized metal washer launcher might be a good video idea
The sharpened stick is a serious anti-vehicle weapon
Agreed
So is 9mm
Vakra Gaming its a hollow point stick
Its pretty much a ballista
Who needs an anti tank rifle you have this boi.
I SWEAR!
"I liked how the saw launched stuff, so I turned it into a gun"
Do it in a separate video
Would it be legal In England though? 🧐
I'M GONNA MAKE ONE AND TAKE IT TO A SCHOOL
@carter stokoe actually u can easy make this with grinder 500W high speed I think and this will be "portable". Modern crossbow aka balista!

Kind of funny that he didn't have protection on when using the deadly angle grinder
3:34
I CANNOT believe you did that. That grinder could have shot off and seriously injured you. Be careful.
You know he was like, 15m away right??
Then he drops it onto his powercord in the next shot. lol.
If it did shoot off it would just be a metal brush and he is wearing protective stuff
The Red Robot he’s not wearing enough protective gear if it shot off he could have been seriously injured I work in a metal shop and those metal brushes are a lot sharper than you think I wouldn’t even call them a brush if it were up to me
The Red Robot these things are used to grind on metal
You need to do experiments (messing around)with that table saw spear tho
I also had a loose shirt get sucked into an industrial chop saw where a 15” blade comes up out of the table when you press a foot pedal that was a close one . Ripped my shirt all the way to the neck line.
Next on demo ranch: dowel vs ar 500 steel plate
launches 98mph projectile in a video about safety glasses
doesn't wear safety glasses
lol
I was once working in a metal factory and there we had circlular saw blades used in angle grinders, for the aluminium. There was one accident when the grinder bounced from the objective and cut one worker straight in the face. He lost few teeth, his cheeck was cut in half, I think maybe also his jaw bone and there was ALOT of blood. There were pieces of his head all around the working area. Now he is fine but has ”Joker scar” on his cheeck tho.
Yikes!
At 5:18 the test dummy thing is like “WWHHHYYYYY TTTHHHHOOOO?”
Lol he is doing all of this without safety
all that talk of safety then you use that aweful "chainsaw" blade with no eye protection @ 11:40 onward
I love how passive and calm the music is for a video where a dude takes a sharpened stick and shoves it through a piece of sheet metal

I like how much the safety glasses helped Rescue Randy avoid that board when it kicked back from the table saw. LOL love your vids!!!!
You should’ve seen if the stick would go through the mannequin
Randy is NOT JUST A mannequin say sorry or no pudding
I've always wanted to see what that looked like, a piece of wood being catapulted by a saw.
The other thing I wanna see in slo-mo is a router bit or cutter head breaking. With those high RPMs, the results are reportedly quite spectacular.
Yeah a new video, would love you to upload more often but understand if you have other things to do.
Yeah, it was like once every 2 months, now I'm hoping it sticks to 2 weeks
quality over quantity :)
Where you get chain saw attachment it would be great for carving wood cutting off chunks quickly without getting a whole chainsaw out
