- MERCEDES W463 G Wagon repairs can be easy. THe Mercedes G wagon was originally an easy to use and easy to repair military vehicle. Repairing most of the components on the front of most G wagons is straightforward and relatively simple with common tools.
In this video I will repair a 2017 G wagon W463 hood or bonnet latch closure. I suspect that a previous trip to the dealer for other repair work lead to this problem. Typically these parts on most vehicles never need to be serviced.

I had so many issues trying to get my G55 hood aligned and closed properly. The whole latch system is unnecessarily complicated.
Hey, I’m getting ready to replace the latches on my 2014 G63, and this is a great video to prep. Thank you!! You said it was much more difficult than expected, but you really didn’t say why. Was it routing the cable, lack of space, or what? Would needle nose or forceps help with the cable?

How did you adjust the hook? I think that is my issue
