Even though it was very brief i enjoyed Freud's character, to be the top Vesper and the no1 in the arena means he must be one of the best pilots around. Its a shame we only see him once and even then the fight didn't seem all that difficult but still an interesting character
The fight isn't hard because he doesn't rely on anything particularly powerful. His AC is pretty well balanced, like a better starter AC. No gimmicks, no underhanded tricks, just a skilled pilot who either got outplayed by a better pilot on equal footing, or who got obliterated by a better pilot with more firepower than half the Vespers combined. Like Raven, he has a melee, which is pretty much always good, decent guns, and average armor. Except Raven atleast brought a Songbird, which is a bit more towards the powerful side.
also the fact that if he's really a non augmented human then using the Morley would freeze him like old gen ACs would and then the inverse happens some Belkan dude finds his AC data and refines it for drone use...... wait thats just AC7
You sound like Freud here. I find it funny that people tend to feel exactly how FROMSOFT expects you to feel about the character and they write that into them. Like everyone hates and shits on Iguazu and he knows it in his dialog. You're whole comment is "stupid AI is all the same, his build isn't even good" when in lore he's objectively one of the best pilots. Obviously we are built different because we are on a higher level existence from all these video game characters, but the game is almost self aware of that point. Again, really smart writing on FROMSOFT's part.
Fighting Freud gave me massive early Gen AC vibes. It wasn’t until after the fight I checked out his AC in the arena. It honestly looks straight out of Gen 1 one of my favorite AC battles outside of the one that comes after this
Reminds me of what it's like when playing certain people in fighting games. It's like that feel that you just got done defeating a bunch of bad players that spam the same habits that you may as well be fighting a bot. Then you finally found that one player that is at your skill level that you've been searching for months, maybe even years. Yeah if the circumstances were different, I could easily imagine Freud pulling some strings to do whatever he can to have good ol' duels with 621 all the time.
Yes, when I was in high school, I played an MMORPG called Ace Online and I also had this feeling. Find a worthy opponent for pvp. If you have watched the anime Gundam Build Fighter. There were two characters in that anime who also fought because of this feeling
@@pdmeditationgaming8289 I'm starting to wonder how popular Ace Online was, because lately I've been hearing people thinking back fondly about that game (though Ace Online probably matches up with armored core fans). I didn't get too far in it though, I forget which type of gear I used too. I haven't seen gundam build fighters, though in hindsight I realize a lot of anime will have at least one character that fights just to find good opponents. (though usually to show a change in the protag, or show how far the protag has come) Also I'm afraid to look at anything gundam related. It was massive when I first saw it, and it's still growing to this day. I feel you could spend a lifetime looking at specifically Gundam things.
I just finished my NG++ run last night. I now just need to S-Rank (or try to) all the missions. I'm seriously tempted to switch to Japanese. Snail's Japanese voice is far less annoying than his English. I'm not sure if he sounds so snobby in Japanese, but he's so snobby in English that I pretty much hated him the moment I first heard him.

I was beyond furious though when I saw what they did to Walter. I already wasn't a fan of Arquebus, but when I was forced to fight him with Ayre pleading with both of us to stop, I was absolutely furious with them.
I got your points. But the main purpose of the video is the "Dialogue", not the "quick kill". So I'm trying to keep him alive, my purpose was to make the battle seem more intense. In fact, if I were serious, he wouldn't be able to say a word. 🤣🤣
