Small lemon-size tamarind - 1 No
Hot water - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 10 Nos
Shallots - 15 Nos
Rock salt - 2 tsp
Oil - 2.5 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Water - 1/4 cup
Powdered jaggery - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - little
