This actually makes a lot of sense. It would explain why his rinnegan ability was limbo clones. A shadow clone ability that is undetectable to almost anyone, including the first Hokage, making it superior to even wood clones.

This theory also makes sense narratively because its obvious that Madara was supposed to be the original end boss/final villain for Naruto. Naruto’s most iconic and used ability is Shadow Clones. Having the final boss being able to counter your main character’s most iconic ability makes it so when the main character eventually does defeat the villain its even more impressive and satisfying.
I mean, the issue is it doesn't counter Naruto. Naruto can make thousands of clones, and Madara was limited to 4 limbo clones, which weren't even strong enough to give Naruto any real trouble.
@Rashad his sharingan ability is to tell which clone is the original castor and we know for shadow clones that if you hit the original castor then the other clones dissapear. So yes, it is the counter to narutos's first justu

@@MastaNeko Naruto's shadow clones are all far stronger than anyone in the army. ☠️ Even when Naruto was just using KCM 1 his shadow clones were kage level, and he obviously got way stronger by the time they fought Madara. Naruto's shadow clones were fending off Madara's limbo clones.

Naruto can just make 4 shadow clones for Madara's 4 limbo clones and then fight Madara normally. The point I'm making is that, because Naruto's shadow clones were strong enough to fight Madara's limbo clones, they're basically irrelevant. He can sense them even though they exist in a different dimension, and he's strong enough that his shadow clones still counter them.
Obito’s MS ability also makes sense in the moment. He got his MS when Rin died. The MS that obito actually had can move himself in and out of the kamui dimension and allow him to apear somewhere else. He wished he could move himself to where Rin was. Kakashi’s MS makes sense because he wished he could remove Rin from his line of fire
i think it runs deeper. Remember, when Madara first speaks to Obito in his dank ass cave, Madara tells him that it's a miracle he survived despite being crushed, and specifically says something to the effect of "It's almost as if you passed through the rubble". (ep. 344 i think?)
Kakashi wanted to remove that boulder. Obito wanted to pass through it.
Kakashi wanted Rin to not stand between him and his targets. Obito wanted to move to a different reality.

I think it’s kind of even more fucked up. What happens when Obito uses it in battle? His opponents attack goes…right through him…and he saw Kakashi’s chidori go right through Rin.

Madara being able to see thought clones has more meaning than you think. yes it means that Madara can better fight the Senju's. but it also means Madara can see through deception. which is what he is all about. not only that he "saw through the deception of the Shinobi system" but also that he didn't trust anyone to be behind him because they would deceive him. or rather, that the people around him is not who he thinks they are. yes the ability fits Madara perfectly

The "rewind" ability could be reversing time, or it could be a way to portray insane forsight. Basically based on the situation get a glimpse into a possible future, how things play out. Not only would this ability be in tune with a "seeing" ability, but also would be way less broken if you can only use it sparingly.
Exactly, just an artistic choice meant to showcase the regular abilities of the Sharingan.
There is no way CC2 would have been given permission to completely make-up Madara's MS ability in a non-canon video before he even got properly introduced in the manga.
But then , the video shows him time rewinding back into his original stance and the wood style going backwards ... which is ,forgive me for saying this but , a lil bit too much work , unlesssss it's a way for seeing twice as hard in order to pay more attention to any missed detail ? .... An indepth explanation on severe foresight jutsu would be nice too :)
@@i8557 the way Im interupting it is that you can only use it sparingly, and that it allows him to react to the move (enhanced basic sharingon forsight. seeing as he's big papa uchiha), rather than complete time manipulation. It allows him more time to react and some more advanced idea of what the enemy would be doing.
Possibly the style going backwards is just a representation of how madara sees things, while the anime shows his enhanced foresight 1st hand.

My only argument for the time reversal MS would be that he is constantly using it. But from our perspective (that of the main characters) Madara just seems like the strongest ninja ever, that never makes a big mistake. This is why he venerates Hashirama so much, as no matter how many instances he reverts an encounter, he still loses when he runs out of chakra.
Either he runs out and has to turn MS off, or he isnt looking at the action that he'd want to revert... that being anything from behind.
But Yeah, his ms is probably truesight over clones.
or maybe madara can only use it once before he has to regenerate it
I subscribe to this. Hashirama being the only ninja in their time to be soo well rounded to have a answer to everything madara tries, also explains why he wipes the floor with anyone else. And after finally coming to terms he can't beat hashirama in a fight even with this ability he took hashimara cells and faked his death

The whole thing about reversing time is interesting, because there is another way to show someone doing this. That is showing them perfectly predicting the enemies moves and acting accordingly. See while the visualisation of things rewinding is pretty self evident as to what's happening, from an observer's POV, it'd look like that person can always react to whatever is thrown at them.
I was thinking this as I watched it. And as for why it wasn't used more often could be the result of a long ass cool down like shishui
I always understood Madara's sharingan ability in the storm series to be almost like a temporary fast forward. Similar to skipping ahead in time for whatever duration and being brought back in order to gain an advantage in a combat scenario. But it didn't even cross my mind that it could be an advanced form of the standard sharingan perception ability 😅.

Madara's Mangekyo ability is literally just being Madara and honestly thats way more OP than most other abilities
My theory is that Madara's MS abilities are:
- *Right Eye MS* => *Truesight;* to be able to determine what's real and what's not, just like seeing through Shadow Clones just like Nick said in the video. Though not explained, I think this ability also would be able to see through invisibility for that same reason, as "only affecting Clones" seems a bit TOO specific imo.
- *Left Eye MS* => *Perfect Perception;* to be able to "slow down time" and percieve his surroundings in slow motion, giving him time to maximize/perfect his perception with his basic Sharingan ability to perceive as well as time to plan his next attack etc. This would not make him able to act any quicker than his normal speed, but he'd have the time to see more, and calculate the best plan of action.
This ties in with how his clashes with the Senjus were an uphill battle due to them being so versitile, skilled, and coordinated that he'd wish to be able to perceive EVERYTHING happening on the battlefield. This, while also (tied to the Right Eye MS) being able to discern who is there and plan accordingly.
This would make a ton of sense in terms of conditions for acquiring the abilities, as well as explain how he's SUCH an outstanding fighter; putting the skills and feats of Hashirama REALLY into the perspective regarding the "The God of Shinobi" title Madara gave him. That he still couldn't beat Hashirama even with perfect knowledge and adaptability + the Nine-Tails.
Side Note:
Even how Obito manifested his (and Kakashi's) MS ability with the Kamui reflects how he felt that after seeing Rin die. He would probably want to *_not be in this world anymore._* Hence, why he got the ability to literally escape this dimmension!

Something to remember about Edo Madara is that he should have SoSP chakra so he should be stronger than he used to be

@@athariqokazakiichiro5714 I believe the original abilities were in fact rewind and slow time, Kishimoto seeing how broken it was both power wise and narrative wise.. scrapped that and instead made it so it could see through clones instead. Kishi has been known to Retcon so it's not a stretch to think that he retconned Madara's power.. for better narration.. I still think time is a factor here.. however I do not think it's rewind.. slow down? More then likely.. as in.. able to see things move slower then they do to other people seeing the same thing
I always interpreted the scene in the video game to not be him rewinding time but the ability to read the next move like a regular Sharingan just shown differently to look cooler. Like he sees Hasiramas next move and how it would hit him and then the “rewind” is cutting to where it actually happens and Madara reacting to it based on his Sharingan prediction

Personally given the anime, I believe his MS ability was advanced precognition, basically a superior version of the regular sharingon. It's why he was able to fight hundreds of opponents at once.

Very nice video. I agree. His ability to see through clones (and maybe other stuff or techniques) is totally nice since no one can do that. And i think his second ability in fact is to go back in time, but much less than the "data book' says... something like 2 or 3 seconds max AND with the drawback of being incredibly debilitating and chakra consuming even for him.
I lean towards madara being able to see into the future rather than rewinding time like his ms is like an eye of insight on steroids so in the game I'd say he basically saw the outcome of that particular scene and just changed his tactic it could also explain why he used izanagi at the beginning of the fight because he saw what the outcome was so he planned ahead

If the Sharingan gave like 6 seconds precog Madaras Mangekyo could give something like 12 or 15 seconds (not saying the Sharingan gives 6 seconds precog I'm just throwing a number out there) it could just give a wider range. It being a longer window is not as exciting as Amaterasu but that still makes it better than a base Sharingan. Do we know the circumstances he awakened his mangekyo in?

Urashiki has time manipulating powers, similar to the theories of Madara's mangekyo. Urashiki is a filler anime only Otsutsuki. He would simply rewind time whenever something goes wrong for him and he would use his knowledge of the near future to his advantage. Like a quick save, except he cannot go back too far as he was limited.
In the arc when Urashiki goes back in time (using a turtle that is also time machine) to steal Kurama from a baby Naruto, Boruto and Sasuke intervene with the time travelling process and they all land in the past when Naruto was 12 and protected by Jiraiya. It was Jiraiya who figures out Urashiki uses time travel as a quick save for his attacks. Jiraiya countered Urashiki by forcing him to constantly time travel into an area with poisonous gas that Urashiki is unsuspecting of, which causes him to eventually get hurt after constant gas attack.
It's been a while since I last saw that arc, but I don't remember what happened to the turtle. Time travel is real and no one uses it. Naruto also time travelled in a movie this one time and he met Minato and a younger Kakashi. Every instance of time travel has been filler but it's strange to just casually introduce a broken mechanic that can solve every problem.
Toneri is a canon character but was frozen in time by Urashiki, who is a non-canon character, which means Urashiki no longer non-canon since Urashiki is the canon reason as why Toneri doesn't interact with Boruto anymore.
Time is constantly manipulated using space time jutsu. Kamui, flying raijin, and Izanami all manipulate time. The manipulation of gravity affects space. It doesn't seem too far fetched for someone to use chakra for time travel, by developing a jutsu or a whole time machine that is powered by chakra, since chakra can be used as a tool to manipulate space, time and reality.
Time travel should have never been introduced. It breaks so many rules and gets rid of all the stakes. The only people who make sense to have this ability would be the dead spirit spirit of Hagaromo from the Pure Lands with Infinite Chakra, other than that, no one should have it.
urashiki was actually going to be used in the movie but was cut from it, also toneri interacting with boruto was anime filler.

I feel like one of his eyes can see much farther forward in time than a normal sharingan, and the other eye sees backward in time. So he can detect the clone because he can rewind to which one cast the jutsu and keep track of them through to the present moment. He also keeps hinting that he "saw his victory" throughout Shippuden, but maybe he could only see as far as getting the 6paths and ten tails powers, and when he got close enough to see his defeat, he was too lost in the sauce to back down and had no choice but to give it everything he had.
unlikely, he knows when a shadow clone is a clone or not even when the original caster is miles away like when he called out Naruto, seeing back in time far enough to when it was cast is one thing but seeing that far back in time and half way across the continent just seems too far fetched, NC hammers theory here has far more evidence to back it than the time manipulation, plus like he said Madara would have won if he could have seen that far forward/back in time.
I think time manipulation is one of them, but I think he can only rewind time/a situation for a couple of seconds. I think the technique drains a lot of chakra though. I think the technique might alsi have a long cool down period similar to shisui koto justu. Madara being able to see through shadows clones sounds like a good ability as well.

The sharingan can perceive things in real time, able to notice small changes to determine a person's next action. However, Madara could see things before they happened, so I think one of his Mangekyou abilities is to see up to four minutes into the future instead of rewinding time. As for his other one, I would agree that sensing the difference between clones and reality makes perfect sense. So one of his eyes gives future sight while the other gives truesight, as he was also able to identify things he shouldn't have from a simple glance, such as Naruto being Kurama's Jinchuuriki.

I agree with u but in my opinion Four min is just too much op coz in ninja world ever second is precious even 1 sec delay can kill u so it's pretty much op. I think madara ms give him power to see future but for only couple of second or maximum 1 min which is still op but some where balance 😅

he literally reversed time in generations. Sound effects and all. It would make more sense he can reverse time, however short (it was like 1 attack duration) since there is actual material saying he can. We know that abilities can have cooldowns too.. But it's good to note, after time reversed, the new outcome wasn't the same. meaning he can reverse time, but there's no guarantee what happens in the new moment will be the same.
It's like if someone dies from an attack and u reverse time. Now u stand infront of him but the same attack doesn't happen and that person dies from something else. It's like a second chance to react.

Like you've said before in the recent Boruto chapter review how an MS ability is manifested by the person at the time even if they later change then that could possibly be why Sasuke's Rinnegan ability isn't related to destruction or burning down the world etc. he had changed enough.

The detail about MS abilities being a reflection of the desires of the person obtaining them at the time of obtaining them basically just makes them Jojo stand powers without the "body" of the stand. Stands in Jojo have a strong tendency of following that same theme; Jotaro has a tendency of freezing up when in danger, not out of fear but so that he can analyze the situation and figure out the optimal strategy for survival and victory. Therefore, he can freeze time with Star Platinum, which enables him to make these calculations instantly as well as begin doing something about the danger before his opponent has a chance to react. Josuke obtains his stand later into his life after the incident that would inspire it, but as a child he was once very sick and was inspired by a high school delinquent who selflessly risked his life for his and his mother's sake, and came to borderline worship the guy despite knowing nothing about him other than his outfit and hairdo. As such, modeling himself after the guy as entirely as possible, he develops the stand Crazy Diamond which allows him to heal others or even restore that which is broken back to it's fixed state.
If Jojo characters were Uchiha's in the Narutoverse, their stand powers would probably translate to being their MS powers.

We know exactly how Orochimaru went about developing the curse mark. Not exactly how it's made, but where it started.

Jugo has a KKG or such that makes him go unstable and changes his appearance as he gains nature energy.
Orochimaru could not obtain Snake Sage Mode, so when he discovered Jugo he exterminated and got the Curse Marks, which use Jugo's DNA to give the one with the curse mark Senjutsu, so long as they're compatible with Jugo's DNA.

True, and it also should be mentioned that: A lot of the times that Orochimaru does something like that, you can just say that... It's Orochimaru. He's a prodigy, he's one of the smartest shinobi (book wise, not battle IQ), so you just need to have a little backstory to make it make sense. Yeah, he found Jugo and he experimented.
It works so well because most of the time, he fails.
He killed so many children before he actually created Yamato.
As you stated, he COULDN'T get Snake Sage Mode, so he worked for the next best thing. Time and time again, that's what he does. Fail until he succeeds. He worked so well as a Naruto villain before the time skip, because he wasn't just having God given abilities, but also time spent mastering everything he does, or tries to do.
TL;DR Everything that Orochimaru does before The War Arc is explained perfectly, since The Mask of the Reaper just being inside The Leaf Village without Kabuto knowing about it is... Just why?
@Lonnie actually it isn't inside the Hidden Leaf if I remember correctly. It's very close to the Hidden Leaf, they passed through it to get to the Uzumaki area or such, didn't they? Or even so., if it is in the Leaf, I guess Kabuto wouldn't know unless Orochimaru told him.
He was used as a spy, always a shinobi in various villages all the time. He made his way into village after village, I would imagine he was rarely in the Hidden Leaf.
He only did work for Orochimaru.
Orochimaru himself didn't know about that mask when he fought against Lord 3rd until he saw the reaper get used on his arms.
He likely studied it extensively after that and determined it's in an old Uzumaki store house lol.
There's various reasons Kabuto either didn't know, or simply couldn't access it.
I mean, he did tell Obito why he couldn't bring back the previous Hokage, so maybe he did know, but just knew that actually getting to it wouldn't be possible.
Orochimaru had no such difficulties because at that point, it was dark, and everyone was preoccupied with Madara Uchiha and the 10 tails.

I actually like the limbo clones being his MS ability. Would be a good reflection of the type of person Madara was. He WOULD rather create near-perfect clones of himself to protect him then have someone else protect. Also could be tied into how he got his MS, and how he got his EMS very nicely.

so with only mangekyou he could use very limited way!
like only 1 clone and has not superhuman power but normal power like madara had in his normal form! and even could use with limited distance and time! so around 10 meter and for 2-3-5 seconds would be enough for an invisible perfect clone!
but that clone currently was useless against hashirama! his endurance much greater and they always fought with giant titans...
he even could not let his clones more than 1 minutes after six path 10 tails form!!! so yeah his limbo was very limited but can easly turn the battle for your side...

I like this one never thought of it. Was thinking that there needs to be an extra step in the ms ability though, i don’t think it can be what you want out of necessity. Madara could have awakened this true sight because of his conflicting duties at war and friendship with hashirama, emotionally he wanted to distinguish friends from foes and of course that is subjective so ms manifests as true sight. Would be a bit more in line with the other users wishes and abilities i think

I always just figured it was advanced foresight that can go at least a good number of seconds beyond what a normal Sharingan can offer and the ability to see through Jutsu in general, making it ideal for seeing through clones but also helping him understand how to perfectly counter a Jutsu upon sight, should it be within his capability to counter said jutsu
If it was time manipulation, it was probably just slowing down time for probably 0.8x.... Making him react faster to his enemy...

Ok so after doing a lil research I believe Sadara’s MS is based off of the goddess “Amanozako” who in Japanese folklore is the daughter of “Susanoo” and the reason why she is immune to Eida is because Amanozako is immune to all poisons ailments and charms, but also I’m thinking her MS might give her either a Time Manipulation kinda like Madara’s and a possible Full Counter like Meliodas from 7 deadly sins
Your spitting with the folklore connection but eida did what she did before she awoke.. now I do think that’s what one of her abilities will be to be immune to things and genjustu and be able to break other people out it might be a genjustu itself but I think your somewhere around there

I actually like that theory of yours a lot. It makes sense, more so when you think about the limbo clone ability he gained later with the Rennigan, which you discussed earlier in the video. The Sharingan ability let him see through shadow clones & the Rennigan ability let him use a more advanced version of the ability that only he can counter.
I honestly think the two here are the perception that you note and the rewind that was shown in game. Not the unbelievably broken time stop but a rewind that acts over short timeframes that only effect what he has directly perceived. In that sense, one eye perceives all and the other eye predicts all as he can go back in time to undo a mistake that he has already seen. It would reflect perfectly with the straight upgrade of the sharingan as those are in fact the two key functions of the eye itself. Madara also wanted to be able to see through everything above all and that would be the way he could do it. For the record, I don't think he can undo anything he hasn't already perceived which is why he couldn't undo the strike on Izuna because he didn't see it coming beforehand, he didn't "save" that data to rewind it. He even brags to Naruto that everything is going exactly to plan right before he ripped kurama out of him, his whole plan was to be able to foresee and control everything simultaneously after all

Actually time stopping ability has some evidence in the manga, just before he stabbed Sasuke in the chest, Sasuke was free falling towards Madara, but he went into a complete stop and was still held up mid air as if time itself has stopped around him, many assume this was limbo but limbo can't make Sasuke completely paralyzed as he was in this instance.

Which he had Limbo at the time. And we couldn't see what Madara's clone was doing. Madara's Limbo clone was so OP when we weren't seeing it, it kept Sasuke floating while it restrained him and it hit the Tailed Beasts in the face where they literally slid from the force of its blows. Not to mention it assisted in sealing the Tailed Beasts into the Gedo Mazo.

I arrived at the same conclusion while going over the time manipulation theory that his MS ability was true perception. It can also work with the game "rewinding" as sort of a analogy of him perceiving his opponents next move. True perception also explains how he took out a third of the shinobi alliance with ease as he was able to percieve all of it before they even made a move. Also if that was the case, i wonder if it would have allowed him to see through the izanagi or other more powerful genjutsu techniques as well. Like even Pain with the Rinnegan couldn't see through Jiraya's and the toad sages genjutsu, or Kakashi or Sasuke couldn't see through the Tsukoyomi. food for thought.
Madara has two MS abilities:
- Future Sight / Rewind
- Hyper Perception
Future sight requires direct eye contact with the target and Cannot be used after the fact. Thus no plot holes in both deaths.
Hyper Perception is what gives him unparalleled taijutsu and could be used to distinguish clones.
Both of these abilities are extension to the Sharingan. The conversation with Sasuke is evidence in favor of this; As Madara states that Sasuke’s base Sharingan abilities achieved the maximum Evolution; the basic Sharingan abilities of Madara's eyes are passed that level.
Lore wise these two abilities are what one needs the most to fight the all-powerful Senjus. To analyze their myriad of Jutsus to counter there strong bodies and speed with perception, especially that monster called Hashirama.
I think so his ability are clone recog type where he is able to see through and observer smallest tactics, component of opponent and other is cloning substance which is why he was able to form susanoo that big , had monstrous strength (as he clone his strength), was able to theoretically increase his precognition to see hasirama move without time reversing or any and lastly his ability can be evident as after he got his other eye he was able to create or duplicate more limbo clone

Madara's ability to identify the real person among clones fits with my impression of him.
Madara is a man who has seen the cold, harsh truth of the world. His anguish in life opened his eyes to the grim nature of the shinobi world. The truth of the shinobi world is that might makes right, and all ideals and dreams of peace are simply illusions.
Therefore, Madara cannot be deceived, or tricked, or lied to. He sees the real among its substitutions and replications. He is the man who sees through Hashirama, both by seeing through his deceptive techniques and seeing through the lie of unity that he is trying to sell.
Until this video I thought the sharigan had an ability to tell the difference between real and clone but after it I can definitely see how Madara’s MS ability could be to see through clones. This only raises one question, why in the land of waves arc was Kakashi able to see through Zabuza’s water clone?
The Water Clone technique is weak in relation to Wood and Shadow Clones.
The Shadow Clone technique evenly divides the user's charka between the clones, making them indistinguishable from the caster.
Water Clones are much weaker and cannot sustain any damage. They possess only a fraction of the user's chakra.
However, in this instance, though I cannot remember the scene from the top of my head, could it be possible that Kakashi simply saw Zabuza create the clone and therefore knew which one was the caster? If not, perhaps Water Clones are simply more obvious due to their relative weakness. We generally only see them perform one task or assist the caster in another technique, as they aren't suitable to take on challengers on their own like Wood Clones and Shadow Clones.
You didn't mention it but Obito's MS ability also illustrates how the ability is a reflection of the user's desires. He can take people to a place where nothing can ever hurt them :(
Madara's primary MS ability could be as simple as a power up, amplifying his chakra, strength and ninjutsu. His secondary ability could be the perception buff spoken about here, which lets him react better and see through clones. The MS abilities tend to reflect the deepest desires of the wielder in some way, and Madara's desire up until he was manipulated by Zetsu and taken off course seems to have been to become the strongest in battle. One ability that buffs his stats in battle, another to counter his one and only rival who likes to use wood clones. It makes perfect sense.

The first time I saw the anime, looked at the game cut scenes and the data pages after, my thoughts were that he did have the time reversal/manipulation abilities, though this theory might have some holes in it, my first thoughts were that he purposely handicapped himself and did not use them in the war. When Obito revived Madara, he said "Finally I'll be able to fight for real" following with "It's just not a battle without raging blood and a pounding heart". Since Madara found joy in battle, he wanted to fight more. That's why he rushed to Hashirama and challenged him on the battlefield, when they both were reincarnated, but Hashirama said he'll deal with him later, because they were fighting the ten tails at the moment if I remember correctly or something like that. The only time Madara used time abilities was when he battled Hashirama back in the old days. He used them becasue he was losing, tried to save himself, manipulate the outcomes of some attacks or moments and etc. But did not use any time abilities in the present war, because he knew that reincarnated Hashirama was weaker, he had also stolen some of his cells and had awakened the Rinnegan.
Though this theory does have some holes in it, like, why wouldn't he use any of those abilities when Zetsu backstabbed him? maybe he couldn't, but then, why wouldn't he use it against Naruto and Sasuke. I think he mentioned somewhere that he enjoys to battle or loves to experience battle or something like that, might be that ending everything instantly would just not be satisfying for him. Also another hole would be, how did Hashirama counter both freezing and reversing time back in the old days when they fought. Countering the time reversal is still possible, since Hashirama was a very skilled shinobi, maybe he switched to defense mode mid attack in those moments, or tanked some of the damage, but freezing for two minutes would most likely be impossible to counter. The only thought comes to mind is sage mode, since not much is known about Hashiramas one, just that it boosts the users stats pretty much, but if it had some strong power like that to counter time stop, that would most likely be too overpowered and probably used in the present in some way.
The fact that Madara was that strong and had such insane techniques, like the Majestic Destroyer Flame, which needed like hundreds of water users to stop it, or having so much knowledge about a lot of things. Like when Kabuto was defeated, every reincarnated shinobi was returning back, but Madara was the only one who knew the hand sings to reverse it, and since the kage were surprised, they might had no idea that that is even possible. There might be a possibility that Madara battled a lot of people throughout his life using time abilities and to gain access to different things, locations, knowledge and also perfecting his techniques. Though fighting low/mid level shinobi would probably not do much or give much battle experience, might just be some basic limit testing. But access to knowledge might be good.
All the other theories might be true as well, can't be a 100% sure, having no information. Though it's interesting to theorize and explore different theories, these were my first thoughts after seeing the anime and all other things.
So i saw a video that said his right eye memorizes attacks, and his left eye rewinds time to deflect those attacks. I think we saw in a episode of naruto where an attack is coming at Madara and he says something on the lines of "That caused too much damage" Not that WOULD cause too much damage but that it DID and the attack hadnt hit him yet. This was him tanking the hit and it cause too much damage for his edo tensei to regenerate quick enough to fight back, and then him rewinding time to deflect the attack instead. This would also explain why they showed madaras eye moving so fast when he was getting bombarded in the beginning of the war, this couldve been him memorizing every single attack and rewinding time to deflect them all
The ability to stop someone in time is actually shown when he’s fighting the shinobi alliance. There was a random shinobi about to slash downward with a sword and Madara flashes his sharingan at him and the guy just freezes. I’m sure everyone, including me, thought he was just frozen in fear, but it actually fits perfectly with the data book entry now.

Know I'm a month late but that scene we saw in Generations, I'm pretty sure was Madara just using his natural Sharingan ability to perceive the outcome of the next moment and calculating what is his best possible choice in order to get the best outcome. He wasn't rewinding time, but just using the natural enhanced perception to see into the future, and that spinning effect was there to add more flare. That's all.
But what if Madara's EMS ability isn't just to see through clones, but see through *ALL* jutsu? During the battle, Madara is only ever caught off guard when he doesn't have his EMS activated and by direct attacks, but never attacks created through jutsu or chakra enhancements of any kind. It seems that, if anyone uses a jutsu on Madara, he's able to see through it almost perfectly and without fail, that the only way to truly deceive Madara is either through last-second desperation or through direct means where you're most at risk. It makes sense to me at least.

So in simple thematic continuity, the reason why Madara is able to see through clones is because he "sees the real you". And when his MS failed, he miscalculated who "the real Hashirama" was in terms of how far he was willing to protect the village.
MS abilities come in pairs plus a Susanoo. So the paired ability, following the theme, would be one of the following:
- the ability to "show his true heart". That is, the eternal tsukuyomi, where he is able to directly project his thoughts into other people's dreams.
- or the ability to "hide his true self", which is the essence of Limbo, his clone in the darkness.
So, I have to add my lil bit. What I think happened was, that Kishimoto did not want to reveal Madara´s MS, becouse he wanted to let us specualte. However when they told him that they need a Madara MS ability, he thought: "How about giving him one that only he can see?"
We do not see that ability used since he already did and wiped it out of everyone´s memories. We aren´t looking at the world thru the eyes of Madara, so how could we know?

I think madara had the god of time abilities but like you said, was only given a certain number of uses a day (2/day). In the events you described, it was during cutscenes sure but there's assumed to have been great battles before those exact shown moments so he wasn't able to use his abilities in your described times because he already used up his limit and was unable to use it again that day.
Turning back time also would explain how can see through the clone jutsus. That being said the limits have to be much lower than quoted from that page, like seconds instead of minutes plus that times/day limit to make any sense.

THE answer to why he didn't freeze hashirama before he dies and rip his heart out is very simple to answer, because this cannon ability wasn't created till after those events took place. simply not existing is why they were never seen.

It is in a "canon" cutscene... the details are.... theory but he did, reverse an attack. that's all we know.
But also note, even though he reversed the attack. Madara was also in the reverse loop (he wasn't free from moving while time reversed) When time moved forward, the attack changed and madara was still overwhelmed and got fcked..

My Personal Headcanon is that Madara's MS ability is to open a portal to Kishimoto's office and press the Delete Button.
Personally, rather than just the ability to see through Clone techniques, I'd say it's more likely that he has a more complete kind of "True Sight" common in other fictions. The ability to see the Truth of things. It would allow him to see clones as clones, because that is the clones Truth. It would also allow him to see through any other kind of deception technique, and in my opinion would also explain how he supposedly beat Mu, someone who could literally not be detected by anyone else when his technique was active.
Whether it allowed him to tell when someone was lying or not is up in the air, but I like the idea that he got the ability to see the Truth of things, in a very much conceptual way.
if u look closely to that page of Madara u can see that the background image of the Madara drawing is just a copy and paste from page (58-61 cant remember) so its clearly something a person made up in order to deepfake his ability to rewind time. The game itself isn't fully classed as cannon as well, we cant fully say that every cutscene in the game is meant to be cannon so the clone ability in his MS makes a lot more sense as it is cannon rather than having time manipulation as his MS abilities.

Madara did get hit by the meteor so the Susanoo wasnt there to protect him. He even stated to Kabuto that they would be fine since they were reanimated......I always seen it as he used Susano to call down 1 while he called down one himself as well....which is why there were 2

I think this makes a lot of sense. In my mind limbo clones are just as much of a possibility considering Nagato should have the same abilities Madara had with Madara’s rinnegan, and Madara was likely holding back until he became Juubidara, since that was when Naruto and Sasuke were super buffed and he could still use limbo clones while having the fight still be fun and challenging. I see a lot of people theorize that he has foresight, but that also kinda doesn’t make much sense, unless there was a cooldown of some sort. If he had foresight (without cooldown), then he would’ve known that Zetsu would betray him. But the strangest part is that the very nature of a foresight ability is kinda a weird idea. Let’s say Madara was fighting Minato and he says that as he goes to strike him Minato teleports away, as soon as he chooses to change something about the future he saw, that future changes and thus he no longer knows what happens. That’s if there is a cool down, I guess if there weren’t then he could have just spammed it constantly, but then he’d be basically on autopilot while he watches the future like an action movie as it’s all happening to him an instant later.
This also applies to Shisui who just wanted people to do the right thing and live peacefully, even if they didn't want to.
In 12:40 the claim is that Nagato did not have any unique rinnegan abilities because the eyes were not really his. That is not how stolen eyes works in the series.
In Naruto in general, when eyes are transplanted, the eyes are left permanently in their current state and can be used as the basis for using their full powers. The eyes _may_ be later upgraded in strength, but they cannot downgrade back to their original state again. So for example Kakashi gets Obito's 3-tomoe sharingan eye, and that eye is permanently in a 3-tomoe state, unless and until Kakashi activates mangekyo sharingan. Kakashi's (Obito's) eye _may_ revert back to the permanent 3-tomoe state, but not back to base form. At any rate, Kakashi is able to use all of Obito's unique talents directly from his eyes.
Likewise, Danzo was able to use the unique abilities of Shisui's eye from transplanation, and Madara was able to use the unique abilities of Obito's eye transplanted from Kakashi.
The true reason why Nagato was unable to use the full powers of Madara's transplanted eyes are likely:
1) Nagato is only able to access Rinnegan and onwards. He cannot go backwards and access sharingan abilities, as Madara's eyes were permanently left in Rinnegan state.
2) In chapter 675 page 4, Obito claims that he has extreme difficulty controlling Madara's rinnegan. Just implanting one eye was so strong that "he started losing himself". This is despite half of Obito's body basically being made of Hashirama cells (Zetsu clone). So likely, as powerful as Nagato is by himself, he simply isn't powerful enough to fully control Madara's eyes / chakra.
This means that it is still entirely likely that Limbo, if an eye jutsu, is inaccssible to Nagato because either (a) it is a sharingan ability (Nagato has no ability to go back) or (b) it is a high enough level rinnegan ability that Nagato simply isn't strong enough to control it.
Limbo is strong enough that it can one-shot bijuus, in fact, multiple bijuus at once. This indicates that it is no normal clone, it is an ability that may even be stronger than the level of Chibaku Tensei that Nagato is able to generate. Bear in mind that Nagato's chibaku tensei cannot even hold a partially awakened Naruto, whereas Madara used Limbo by itself to suppress all the bijuu in seconds.

I believe in the 3rd theory you properly explained the why, but I feel like how it will actually work is perhaps a bit overshot. I don't think Madara had the ability to "stop time" around him but rather make an object stay in place as if it's stopped by time. Evidence to when sasuke tried air ambushing Madara in the war ark yet was mysteriously stopped in midair. Not as if he's grabbed, but rather as if he is stuck in motion. As for the other eye- I think it's not re winding time, but rather ultimately probability. Sharigan improves perception and calculation but Madaras ability allows him to see what will happen at any given moment. Like garnets future vision from steven universe= not exactly 100% but seeing (actually being able to visualize) probability and selecting the best one! Also the reason why he wouldn't be able to use the last eye ability when he died by zetsu is because he needs to actually turn it on as a passive. He didn't anticipate getting back stabbed by zetsu when he just got done showing his prowess to sasuke and naruto after succeeding in his plan. He thought victory was actually his and that's why Zetsu chose that EXACT moment. When Madara was at his most resolute.
I think only the time reversal is his power and I think there is an additional restriction (for example he may only be able to reverse the time flow of jutsu and objects which is still powerful but not broken and explains the time delay on Izanagi ) as for his other eye it defiantly can't stop time however clone detection is probably a side effect rather than the entire power.
Man you made me think about a explanation for Itachi's "chakra sickness", when you told that Tsukuyomi made him "the god of reality", I suppose the scenario where the level of this techique is so absurd, that each time you use it, it weakens you at some degree, and this also may be the case of the Kaguya clan's kekkei genkai, because they're the only ones who had it in the entire show.

I think it would make sense if his MS abilities were basically enhancements to the sharingan's base abilities by several orders of magnitude higher than any other dojutsu. Like his eye of insight MS ability is perception so enhanced he can spot the difference in clones and predict movements even further ahead of any other sharingan user, like not just seeing the next move but the next 12 moves ahead, while his eye of hypnotism ability was like the super subtle genjutsu Kakashi used against Zabuza but amped up to a much higher level, a reverse kotoamatsukami where it can only slightly push you towards an choice you might have made without it's influence, ie it can't make you kill yourself or switch sides but it could make you dodge an attack to the right instead of to the left if there isn't any obvious danger to your left, but neither the victim or any outsider could ever tell it happened.
Obito must have felt proud of his mangekyou abilities, he got a whole dimension for himself, he could teleport and turn intangible, i imagine Madara being mad when he saw he could do all this stuff 😂
In Episode 130, Sasuke claims to use sharingan to be able to tell what shadow clone was the original body. This is right after the line 10 times 0 is still 0. This leads me to believe that this ability is just a not often mentioned base ability of the sharingan not an MS ability.

In the anime there is actually a moment during the fourth great ninja war arc that actually backs this up to me. When the four hokage show up and put the barrier up to hold the ten tails and hashirama sends a wood clone to fight Madara. When the clone gets there, madara out right calls out the clone and said he will wait for the real Hashirama.
On the topic of the time manipulation theory (because I love playing devil’s advocate on stuff 🤣):
•Point 1. Madara’s first death was at the hands of Hashirama, at which point he was totally gassed and likely didn’t have enough chakra left to run his MS (I imagine controlling the flow of time would be a rather chakra-intensive ability). His freezing-time ability wouldn’t have really been all that useful either in this fight, given how there really wasn’t much he could do to Hashirama in that time frame that he couldn’t have healed from. The risk would’ve been too great to sacrifice one of his two get-out-of-jail-free cards per day.
His second death was from old age after unhooking himself from the Gedo Statue, rewinding 4 minutes isn’t going to help much there and he did it willingly anyway, but you already covered that. His third death was from being fisted by Zetsu, and it was rather evident he was paralyzed by this (he said so himself), but he also didn’t use any other abilities to try to free himself. This leads me to believe that he couldn’t; maybe Zetsu was screwing around with his chakra network, I don’t know. But once all of the planet’s chakra started flowing into him, there’s no way he’d be able to control chakra well enough to do anything with it.
•Point 2. One could argue that the reason we never saw Madara’s time manipulation, was because we never really saw the world from Madara’s perspective until after he absorbed the Ten Tails and started relying completely on his Rinnegan; we only saw it from the view of everyone else around him, whose memories could’ve been manipulated by him to not be aware of the change according to this theory. That said, we DID see one strange ability from Madara: at the moment he dealt a fatal wound to Sasuke, Sasuke was dropping towards him to attack but suddenly was frozen in place in the air, completely immobilized. I don’t believe it was ever explained what that ability was, but it perfectly lines up with Madara’s theorized second MS ability of freezing time.
i think his ability is just to stop objects bc he did this with sasuke and sakura. i heard someone say they might be limbo clones but sometimes sakura would stop inches before madara which was probably too close for someone invisible to swoop in and stop her, plus it would probably look more like a knock back instead of just a stop

Within the lore Kishimoto can just say “well they are called secret techniques for a reason” because things like ms abilities should be a secret. we saw in haiku times you can be ostracize when people find out the things you can do. “Wait shisui can make us follow his command without knowing we’ve been affected? I don’t think I trust that guy.”
also if kishimoto and cyber connect working together makiing the game semi cannon. i think peoples ultimate jutsu on the games are basically, the "capability of people going all out". i think it would be a cool video of you reviewing ultimate jutsu (in storm 4 the game) and ranking capabilities of certain shinobi, that we don't see go all out in the get go in the anime. in my opinion.
I like these types of speculation videos and I like the way you used evidence to conclude or debunk each theory. I really enjoyed this video because Madara is one of my favorite naruto characters and I liked speculating what his ms abilities I can see why certain evidence made sense and why it was debunked. Interesting theory lol, but we already know his MS abilities. During the flashback when Madara narrates his battle with Hashirama to Obito, they show his Mangekyou Sharingan abilities. His right eye could record events that are happening, (time). Then his left eye could reverse (time) the events that just happened. It's also vaguely mention time manipulation in the Manga.
20:33 maybe he did use it, but we only saw what was happening from the perspective of someone other than himself. Which would mean he could rewind their memories and so we wouldn’t know about it. And the 3 times he had died before he had already messed up more than 4 minutes ago? You would know more than me, just a theory.
the way it came to when i was playing the game (about the madara "rewind") ,was like it tried to show a "manifestation" of sharigan,just in a flashier way.u know,all this "i can see the next moves" shit
what would be really cool is that if madaras eyes were preserved by orochimaru and after sasuke gets merked by kawaki (eventually) and sarada gets her MS she goes to get madaras set of eyes for the eternal MS then we get a 1 shot manga of Madaras backstory like we did with minato. specifically one that depicts that ohnoki fight which eventually goes into explaining this massive plothole.
Madara also says "Since this is the REAL Naruto, I won't hold back" in the War Arc during supporting your idea of him being able to see the difference between the actual person versus the clone
As why he doesnt manipulate time it could be that madara used his ability once with his early fights with hashirama thinking it was the only way to defeat hashirama and his goal was priority, but as time passes and hashirama being his best rival and friend and his love to have a challenge, when he fights hashirama again, he does not want the thrill of fighting his best rival to end to quickly or maybe he changes his mindset to fight hashirama, naruto, sasuke, and guy on a more even playing field for his pride.
