Awesome. Treadmill back in business. Whoever installed the brush set completely compressed one of the brush springs, causing it to lose all tension with time and eventually lose contact.
Very interesting, I have an issue with my treadmill that when I start working on it will stop and all power, I think I have a motor issue, thank you for the tip!
Nice job. Thanks!
Great info thank you sir 👍🏻
Thank you for the good clip.
This was really helpful. Thank you! This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! My commutator has a bit of wear marks that are like streaks and has a couple of dark streaks on it, slightly grooved. Is that cause for concern? Currently, I'm trying to troubleshoot/diagnose my treadmill that glitches/drags/stops intermittently.
My speed control switch, rheostat, had worn out causing intermediate operation. Cleaned it with contact cleaner and started working correctly.
hi good evening !I have a problem with my treadmill.when I try to start ,they cannot start.and the push bottom is not function.what is possible problem of my treadmill.thanks.
Carbon brushes for treadmills are extremely difficult to come by. Can anyone recommend a place where I can get these brushes?
What are the 'in-use signs" of a motor brush going bad that would have the treadmill owner check the brushes. I realize it's normal maintenance, but are there operational signs? Also, I've a commercial Precor c9561 with about 9 thousand recorded miles (on the current PCA board). How long do brushes normally last? Thanks, I really like your videos, very straight forward, efficient, and well stated.
Hi Jontona, in my experience. Brush wear is hard to narrow down. Depends on the upkeep of the unit. There are normally wear bars on the brushes to indicate if a brush needs replacing or if they are wearing differently. Hope that helps.
Sparking by the brushes and hesitant starts are usual signs of brushes being too short.. .although, sometimes the spring may be faulty.....just a little sparking at the brushes is normal, but a lot is not...
How or where can I get the right brushes for my treadmill ?
Technofit TR300i Treadmill, Unfortunately I cannot find any here in the UK
Or is there a specific or alternative way of locating them ?
Nice Demo, pls let us know where can we get Carbon Brush Part no 561
Hi Sheo, try this site: www.fitnessrepairparts.com You will need the model and serial number from your treadmill to search on their website.

Quick googling got me to gymparts.co.uk where was your type of brushes.
is the motor going to get wacked
I have a Cybex 425T and the brushes somehow burned on the rotor and the motor stopped working. What happened? Can new brushes solve the problem or is that a motor issue?
Good Morning, brushes can certainly fix such an issue. Try this website for assistance: www.fitnessrepairparts.com/equipment/Select/24217/Cybex/LCX-425T-After-SN-E0504
You will need your serial number and what kind of motor you have in the treadmill. Hope this helps.
You were right. New brushes (and light sanding of the brush housing) fixed the problem. Thanks.
I have clicking motor noise after replacing brushes. I eliminated bearings, belts or rollers as causes. Is it a seating issue or tight spring tension? Commutator seems OK and was gently cleaned with scotch brite and alcohol tips.
uneven spot or bump on commutator. If I manually roll motor opposite way there is no click. I can hone it or replace.
New brushes are generally flat and square on the end so they don't conform to the curve of the commutator and will then make a clicking noise when running. Generally, over time the brushes will wear and conform to the shape of the commutator, and the noise will go away.
hello I have a treadmill HORIZON Elite 407 where I can found the brush please ? I have this problem. Can I use my treadmill? Even with this problem? There is a risk of damaging the engine? I found the right brushes I am waiting for them to arrive. but Iwant to keep training on my treadmill, Answer me there is a risk for the engine?
If the brushes become worn the unit will shut off. Keep the walking belt lubricated to prevent over heating.
@@techietipsbyrmsfitness8980 Thanks I pay 50box an electrician store, they build 4 new brush for me 12€ each, done
How can I replace a burnt out brushes
hi...if I would want to change my motor brushes...will I find those in normal hardware shops? and how do I ensure they are the right ones?
Hi Rashmila, sorry for the delay. The brushes are a part we access through the factory or from a reputable parts distributor like www.fitnessrepairparts.com I hope that helps.
You can use any bigger brushes and grind them down to the size of the original brush...but, it is better to have the original parts...but sometimes you get spare set of brushes with some things that use universal motor that you purchase....so if you have a set in your garage that is of similar size, there is no reason not to use them if you do not want to pay for a replacements...but you have to be rather careful with grinding brushes to the proper size....if they are undersize or fit too tightly, it will not work...brushes have to move freely, but without any play.....
is that a dog coller
Nice
I have reebok treadmill irun 3 it makes noise and a burning smell. Sounds like it's a motor brush. I had the treadmill for three years. Where can I get the parts in UK.
Hello from the US. Does it make noise when no one is on it? The burning smell could be a lack of lubrication on the walking belt. Do you lubricate the walking belt often?
@@techietipsbyrmsfitness8980 thanks for your reply. Yes makes sound regardless n also I lub it often. Any idea?
We would recommend removing the drive belt from the motor. Are you able to do this? If so, you can turn the machine on and isolate the motor from the rollers. Is the sound noticeable?"
@@techietipsbyrmsfitness8980 thanks for coming back to me. I'll try and let you know.
Hello, my motor makes a squeking noise without the beld. can you advise ? Its the same motor you that you are showing, Thank you.
since when did the mafia deal with this
Your camera person didn't do a very good job, no close ups or good angles when needed.
I agree when he was putting brush back there was no need for a wide angle! Zoom in there! Lets get a closer look!
just started watching 13 sec in try warming up the room so your not rubbing your hands together that looks a little creepy it may just be a nervous tick you have.
