Thanks for this video. My own Nordic Track treadmill (different model, but otherwise very similar) has an issue where once I'm 30-40 minutes into a run the motor just stops moving the belt. The treadmill maintains power, everything else seems functional, but the motor will not drive the walking belt. My assumption is that the motor is either overheating and shutting down, or at least getting a signal that it's overheating and shutting down, but either way I assume that if I replace the motor it will work as expected again. Let me know if you think I'm on the right track!

I'm having the exact same issue as you are. I've spent hours on the line with Icon. I've taken the cover off and notice that the red LED light starts to blink slowly when I lose power. They tell me there's too much friction. I should loosen the belt. They tell me to not use silicone lube, but only the OEM lube. I bought it, and it was silicone lube. I still haven't had any luck getting it to work properly. I have noticed that if I walk with a slight Incline, I lose power less.

My Nordictrack replacement motor 4 wire plug and play ends could not get mixed up as it was (1) Red (1) black and (2) blue, and all the plug butt ends had corresponding male or female ends you could not mix up, the HARD part was trying by myself to replace the two motor bolts without cross threading because it’s difficult to hold the motor with one hand, it’s better to have a second set of hands so you can line up the holes perfectly

I have a Nordic Track Commercial. The motor of mine has a lifetime warranty...this is how I was able to replace mine for free without buying a new machine. You said your starts and stops...is it just the belt that stops with the motor still running? Or is it your electric motor the starts and stops. If the motor ..then most likely you need a new motor. If your doesn’t have a lifetime warranty then you probably need to replace the entire machine unless you can get a motor cheap. If it’s your belt that is slipping, there are many many UA-cam videos, Google resources and plus you manual that will help you.

Fly Bar what it does is that it goes on just a little bet and stop. The motor is on but something is not making it run.

Love and I’m the Moon The moon if the motor is running the entire time but the belt stops moving, then the treadmill belt will need to be tightened. You can search Google “how to tighten treadmill belt”. Would be easier if you posted a video to UA-cam.

@@MALNTV - Would you please describe how to uncover the motor? We have the A2250, which has a commercial motor. The cover is concealing a squeaky area.

Kate Hare McIntosh there’s going to be several screws along both sides, under the grab bars and all along the front housing to remove. I guaranty, if you Google your model number, or go to the manufacturer website and look for your model, you will find a .pdf for your owners manual. I did and I used it as a guide. But if you can’t find one...just begin my unscrewing every plastic panel..both sides, couple under the deck on both sides and all screws in the front, you may even need to remove the grab bars and electronics...been a few years since I repaired mine but I think I had to do this as well. There are hidden screws...reason you need that owners manual or tear down manual so you can locate those hidden screws. Just use common sense and give it a good study...look under the running deck along the under sides. Icon manufacturer of these does not make it easy to strip down. Key, if a panel is loose from the top but won’t release for removal...look for the hidden screw holding the panel on the side or under the deck. You can do it! Just be patient. Get a flashlight and really give it a good study...it’s nothing but a puzzle that weighs a ton.

Just bought one and it had 1 red, 1 white and 2 black wires not connected. Any help? Two seem to come from the controller
