Shizu, by the way, was not from Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but from one of the cities that was firebombed earlier in the war. Now what we need is a crossover of this and "I Killed slimes for 300 years and maxed out my level"

My absolute favorite moment prob top 5 in all of anime, was when Valdora was released from his head, he became addicted to pop culture, manga and video games. He just started Hadoken'ing everything over and over like street fighter 2.
I recently saw a yt short that was about what supporting cast anime would win. It was Slimedatta, Eminance in Shadow and Overlord. And i wrote (copied from it): "As of now. I would say Slime cast would win that and higher count vs them but depends how op Eminance cast really is as of beggining of 2nd season. Altho Overlord Ainz have very destructive power behind almost every member of his guild so does Rimuru. When it comes to numbers Eminance could conquer Dark Knights. Awekened creatures from Tensura are in their own way op with special powers. I think Slimedatta and Overlord would be on almost same level but if many Eminance soldiers were cooperating with unvisible speed and strategy they could win too. I guess 1.Slime 2.Overlord 3.Eminance altho i wish eminance soldiers could show more of their strong side than just conquering curse mutation or buildong imperium. Note; not a manga reader. Just based on anime so far." after that i added also: "And mains? Rimuru vs Ainz vs Shadow? I think Rimuru could just Eat magic and be on pair with speed. Ainz could just blackhole everything but i think it would take too long and before he would cast it he would be beheded by both Rimuru and Shadow. I think Rimuru would eat Shadows magic even with his magic hardening. If Shadow maches or exeeds speed of slime he could win. Depends if he got time to do Atomic whitch i think it could be eten before that. So... 1.Rimuru 2.Shadow 3.Ainz" What Do You think about it Nux? The part that hit me the hardest was right before Shizu turned into efriet you can see the fire is instantly evaporating her tears that’s when you realize she can see everything that’s happening and she is in pain
I love how Rimuru ends making an entire country from the ground up with the goblins, orcs, wolves, etc. yet he views them more as family than anything else (he literally named almost every single one). In return they praise and obey him as if he were their God. Sun Tzu said it best, "Treat your soldiers as you would your own beloved sons, and they follow you into the deepest valley, even unto death."
I'm so miffed cause Nuz keeps mentioning at the start that the MC watches a lot of porn yet the guy narrating skips over the MC asking his bro to destroy his computer. That'd have been such a top tier punchline payoff.
The slime one is generic, though at the start was kinda ok, it still having the character die via some random bullshit like a stabbing thats never brought up again, Him getting a insane mage ability that seems to basically just let him copy anything instead of hading the real restricitons and weakness slimes have, character designs turn really intersting races into generic anime characters(AKA generally appealing instead of character specific appeal like uglyness, horror or straight stupudity). Somehow doesn't struggle in creating a nation with different races that just get along somehow despite different opinions and beliefs, the main ones for issue are the reptilemen and Orcs, as the pig orcs devored their families. So why are none of the lizardmen racist? The main character becomes basically God without much effort at all. Can't really say he worked for much aside from the fight against the dire wolfs, that one was actually somewhat using the main thing slime to work with it. Though again somehow this guy mastered how to use these powers in 3 days, not even only tranning with them. Basically the showlis overrated as fuck.
@@alexcat6685 i think you underestimate how generic isekais can get, last season there was one that was about a pastry chef who reincarnates as a son of a minor feudal lord, has a broken magic that he has to hide, gets a girl, uses modern info to build up that feudal territory, and sometimes makes some sweets(gimmick). Slime isekai at least did something interesting by making the character not human.

I was watching Nux' reactions to Season 1. He rage-quit after episode 5, declaring absolutely that if dwarves do not look like classic dwarves, they aren't dwarves. I did not know Nux eventually started watching again with Season 2. That probably explains the gap in his memory.
If he didn’t dropped the show because of that, he probably would have definitely dropped it when the Ogres showed up. They look absolutely nothing like a stereotype ogre.
@@VolticWind I think the closest I came to dropping this based on the look of something was Diablo, I really hate how unique the other 2 demons look and would rather of had either of them live.
Ok nux the reason she’s dying is because efreet was the only thing keeping her alive because Summons have an extremely short life span and she herself would have died if efreet didn’t go inside her but now he’s gone she’s dying (also a really funny thing is rimuru actually acknowledges how big shion’s “things” are before dodging her attack and binding her with webs)
Season 1s a bit slow half way through and not that great at times, but season 2 was really good most of the time and improved on everything that season 1 had. Excited for season 3

Geld was the one I knew that was going to go merciless on the enemies, especially after watching slime diaries. Which actually made Geld anger more justified.
I just love how Rimuru wanted to be a womanizer in this world and he kind of is without meaning to, but he’s never interested in being with anyone so he just sees the girls who do have feelings for him as friends XD
Shizu actually came from pre-nuke WW2 Japan. It looked to me like the firebombing of Tokyo, where the wooden buildings created such an intense heat that the updraft created a fiery tornado.

8:46 war crimes????? All he did was kill a leader of an invading army, and told the rest of the army to surrender or die, because usually in war, if the other army surrenders, you let them live, but if they don't, it's justifable to kill them, being that they're an active threat.

Also, a lot of the time when he is reacting to stuff, and he either is trying to tell a joke, or thinking about a joke, he misses some stuff, sometimes even important stuff, and gets confused when they're mentioned again later. An example is another comment i put on this video, where he said "if you already know he was lying why did you believe the lawyer dude and sentence them to labour", even tho a LITERAL second again, the narrator says "the king then tells them they're exiled".

Gabiru is actually super loyal, but he has a big ego, and his subordinates genuinely believe he is THE SHIT. So they talk him up a lot, and that weakness of his is what led to the insurrection: he thought his dad's strategy was wrong, so he needed to take control and change it.
The dub is pretty good and I personally enjoyed the comedy of the dub more than the sub, but there is a Gobta scene in Season 2 (Ep 31 or 32) that is a MUST WATCH subbed.
hey nux! im happy you watch some slime !! just saying their is 2 anime that got me picking up the source material and its: One Piece and That time i got reincarnated as a slime ! i promise if you wanna have a great time pick up the light novel series of that time a got reincarnated as a slime ! :)
Ok to explain Nuxes question about why the King still exiled the craftsman, we have to entangle some misunderstanding. So there are two "sins" that kajin did in there. The first one was obiously a lie to get kajin out of the royal guards, which the king knew, but he trusted vesta to admit it himself. The second one was kajin punching vesta, who was a minister in that case. So the reason they got exiled was for punching a minister and hurting him, though it is more about the title than vesta himself.
I want Nux to watch and talk about reincarnated as a sword, which i appreciated far more than what I was expected to... and why not reincarnated as vending machine too lmao It seems there is a trend to reincarnate someone in a supposedly inanimate object, what kind of iseaki the futur will offer us ?
In my experience, Japanese media tends to be "trendy", something unique but good comes out and then suddenly a whole bunch of other stories with a similar concept (but usually not as good) come out. Misfit at Demon Academy -> "OP king achieves peace and reincarnates themselves into the future as a normal person, but ends up still being OP and having to save the world anyway" Arifureta -> "Useless/weak isekai protagonist gets thrown into a deathtrap but survives and becomes OP as fuck" I'm not sure, but I think the Sword Reincarnation is the one starting a "Reincarnated as an OP inanimate object and being carried around by a partner/best friend" trend Hell, I think Sime Isekai itself started a "Reincarnated as a weak monster" trend as well. List goes on and on.
@@SoftisNelaris Very interesting indeed. Thank you for your reply. And this made me want to talk about something related to this "tendency to follow trends" which sometimes creates opinions that are a little too virulent. It's true that a lot of isekai try to take a setup that worked, then will change some things here and there and deliver a premise slightly similar to what already exists. And I guess that's why people are always "isekai are trash", "isekai are not original", etc. Which are comments that I really don't like. They are not wrong, but they are not correct either. I view it like a misplaced judgement actually. What I find a bit sad is that those comments (about the originality) are mostly made about isekais... but have you seen how many RomCom and Shonen are similar to each other? I'd love people being able to see that the originality is just a bonus, something that helps to be engaging but is not a requirement to make a show great and enjoyable. What is important is the "How". Demon Slayer is a great example I think. I think it's also because of those comment that we got things like reincarnated to a Slime (which is one of my favourite anime actually), reincarnated as sword and Reincarnated as a vending machine. What's next hahah? Reincarnated as something that isn't even material anymore maybe? (sorry I wrote quite a lot hehe)
@@HaydenNK3 I think the reason why Isekai gets all the flak is because it's both very popular and an extremely broad genre. Isekai just means that someone got summoned, reincarnated, or whatever. It doesn't say much about the actual story. Action? Comedy? Slice of Life? Is it a grand epic to save the world, or something focused on a single location? Does it feature a fantasy high school, or does it take the characters into the wider world? There's mountains of Isekai rolling out constantly, so it's constantly in everyones' faces. Then there's the behind-the-scenes of it all. My understanding is that the majority of modern anime are adaptations of a popular LN or Manga series. Most of them are a kind of "promotional" thing, using a single 10-13 episode season to attract more attention to the source materiel. Only the really big stuff gets longer (or multiple) seasons, because they can be expected to make serious profits. When framed that way, it makes sense; A series with a new premise takes off which inspires a bunch of other people to write their own take on it. The original is popular enough to get people excited about the concept, so the subsequent derivatives have a shot at taking off as well. Then, really popular ones get an anime themselves. It's not really about quality to begin with, and on top of that there are plenty of anime that poorly adapt their source. But quality aside, enjoyability is a subjective thing so everyone is going to be different. Some just don't like Isekai for one reason or another, some get tired of seeing the same thing over and over, and of course the genre's poor reputation isn't completely unearned. It comes down to peoples' personal tastes just as much as the quality of the show itself. And as far as the increasingly weirder concepts go, part of it is due to the massive saturation of the LN market. A new writer wanting to break into the scene has to compete with everything else, so creating an unusual premise is a good way to stand out from the crowd. Incidentally, that's also the reason behind the infamously long and descriptive titles; giving a bunch of info in the title has a chance to bring attention to something that would otherwise be glossed over in the book store.
@@SoftisNelaris That's a very good analysis you made there (well imo). And I agree with most of what you said. Thanks for the time you took to read. With my previous comment I wanted to point out that I find it weird that only isekai gets the the bad rep. While it's partially deserved, I feel a lot of other genre are also freacking saturated and repetitive. But 'everyone' keeps their bad comments for the isekai and persist to call the whole genre "trash" or whatever... Even though, like everywhere else, there are good things, and there are bad things. It's not bound to the genre, that's the "how" a show is made. I wrote the next paragraph just for venting a bit : Opinion and appreciation sure are subjective, but I hate to see people stating them as objective facts. How many times have I seen a reviewer telling us that "once again the isekai genre is boring" or something along those lines. If Isekai is not something you like or something you'd expect to be good, nobody forces you to watch this genre. I'm not very fond of Mecha, so I just don't watch this genre... I don't understand. Anyway, thanks again for this exchange ^^
a lot of isekais use the whole video game interface troupe in their stories but it always feels like a MacGuffin or an excuse, but I like in Slime cuz it has a constant presense and also eludes to it being less of a game system and more of an otherworldly being type deal
I've been keeping up with the slime story outside of the anime... There are some vicious moments. Like the moment he loses his cool and tortures an army to death. He doesn't execute them painlessly. He literally dissects them to cause as much suffering and fear as possible.
Honestly, I prefer the way it was presented in the anime. Cold and mechanical. I especially love the moment where the kings guard (Or whatever his job was) came up with the plan to force people to become literal meat shields for the king. He takes 3 steps before a laser pierces his skull and it doesn't hang on his expression or anything like that. He just fucking drops.
The power scaling is also rather unique. It is not only about what the powerful characters can do but also what their subordinates can do because of the naming aspect.
The finer details of why Shisu got so weak suddenly and how Rimuru got so many skills is explained in the web novel and light novel but the details are skimed over in the anime and manga. The Web novel and the light novel become significantly different as time goes on as it's not a simple copy and paste job. The anime follows the story of the light novel however. Furthermore comparing it to wholesome Overlord is amusing since arguably Rimuru is stronger then Ainz Ooal Gown following the events of volume 15 of the light novel. At least when comparing it to the anime version of Ainz. I'm unsure of the light novel or manga versions of Ainz since I have not read those. Additionally the anime only covers up to volume 6 and the story, (at least in my opinion) gets better as time goes on. Although the anime most likely won't reach up to the events of volume 15.
Rimuru get's OP very quickly in the series but since the focus is less on how OP he is and more about the characters I do enjoy it.

However swallowing Veldora allowed him to draw off the dragons magicules making him much more powerful.
@@shadowsofdawn3871the reciprocal naming still gave him a power boost but since it was a reciprocal naming that put them as equals
I love how rimuru ends up, naming all willy nilly and basically giving potential nukes to everyone to a point that one wrong naming...and The story would have gone a very dark route... Case in point shion almost usurping great sage at one banquet 👌
It sped him along magicule wise but he would have always been op due to predator and great sage, this just got him there a little faster
Shizu, by the way, was not from Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but from one of the cities that was firebombed earlier in the war.
Now what we need is a crossover of this and "I Killed slimes for 300 years and maxed out my level"
I mean she could’ve been from Nagasaki, it was bombed five other times before the atomic bomb with little success. But no she wasn’t there during the atomic bombings.
So she was from the, "Graves of the fireflies" Timeline...🤔
36:10 This may be a bit off-topic, but...
"You're the face I saw when murder entered my heart."
33:30 she is, she IS dying because ifrit is what was keeping her alive, without him, she isn't immortal.
My absolute favorite moment prob top 5 in all of anime, was when Valdora was released from his head, he became addicted to pop culture, manga and video games. He just started Hadoken'ing everything over and over like street fighter 2.
One of the moves is a Dragon Uppercut, of course he became a street fighter shoto
I recently saw a yt short that was about what supporting cast anime would win. It was Slimedatta, Eminance in Shadow and Overlord.
And i wrote (copied from it):
"As of now.
I guess
1.Slime
2.Overlord
3.Eminance
altho i wish eminance soldiers could show more of their strong side than just conquering curse mutation or buildong imperium.
Note; not a manga reader. Just based on anime so far."
after that i added also:
"And mains? Rimuru vs Ainz vs Shadow?
I think Rimuru could just Eat magic and be on pair with speed. Ainz could just blackhole everything but i think it would take too long and before he would cast it he would be beheded by both Rimuru and Shadow. I think Rimuru would eat Shadows magic even with his magic hardening. If Shadow maches or exeeds speed of slime he could win. Depends if he got time to do Atomic whitch i think it could be eten before that.
So...
1.Rimuru
2.Shadow
3.Ainz"
What Do You think about it Nux? Wanna do indepth power lvl, only supporting cast from those shows and/or MC (we could add supporing cast of One Punch man for fun too!)
TBH Saitama would just talk with Shadow, Ainz and Rimuru. Tea party of the strongest~
Have a nice day!
Slime Isekai is so good, I remember watching the first few episodes out of curiosity and then binging two whole seasons in less than a week
Nice
Unfortunately when I watch it
Season 1 wasn't even finished back then
Then so many dalayed because of covid 19
What I did I just read the manga
Did Nux just out himself, for 'having the unique skill predator?' 😂
Nux is harmless.
I'm so miffed cause Nuz keeps mentioning at the start that the MC watches a lot of porn yet the guy narrating skips over the MC asking his bro to destroy his computer. That'd have been such a top tier punchline payoff.
Slime isekai is good, but you should watch the really generic ones. Those are so funny

38:20 BAD NUX! BAD! She wanted to have her eternal grave inside him, where the world won't take it
This is indeed one of my favorite series of all time. It was the first series I loved so much that I wanted to read the light novels for it, and I’ve read all of the official translations that are currently out. I’m excited for more.
Rimiru out here bringing peace to his new empire, like his hero anakin
Slime is a light novel series based on a web novel rough draft and I already know how the web novels ends, but I stopped reading right after some after ending scenes to not spoil me further and i wait for the anime to catch up ^^ (I also started buying Japanese light novels via bookwalker to support the author, and light novels are still far from the finale from what I seen)... lemme tell you though, TENSURA IS PEAK. Godly writing. EVERYTHING makes sense. and is beautifullly bound together. and honestly, it is much more than an isekai to me. as a story too, you wiill know when u get to final reveals. simply beautiful.
not a sppoiler and lets just say EVERYTHING GOES FULL CIRCLE :)
Agree. Anyone who actually very careful while reading the series understand how much godly tensura actually is . The complexity of the story also too deep

Greatest Isekai since Digimon.
This is one of my favorite Isekai!! I’m getting a tattoo of Rimuru and my girlfriend already has a tattoo of him!! 💪🏼
Nux:"I'm terrible at watching this whole show thing..."
That's an understatement. >_>
Season 1s a bit slow half way through and not that great at times, but season 2 was really good most of the time and improved on everything that season 1 had. Excited for season 3

This is my favorite isekai ,the world building in the light novel is amazing, my second is jobless btw

I admit that when I first read the title I thought it was gonna be a mid-tier isekai. Glad I gave it a chance because it is so much better than the title implies.

@@alvinjacobsson8258 don't get me started on Geld, who thought death was the only redemption for what they did after falling under Gelmud manipulation and Benimaru trusted Rimuru to give the Orcs a chance.

Everybody sleeps on slime isekai but it’s actually good
The creator probably didn't watch the English dub, so I can't fault them for saying names differently. But I can't deny it was making my eye twitch. 😅

You have to write scuff names in the script for the AI to say it sounding right.

Can’t wait for Nux to see the next two seasons and the rest of season 1
8:46 war crimes?????
All he did was kill a leader of an invading army, and told the rest of the army to surrender or die, because usually in war, if the other army surrenders, you let them live, but if they don't, it's justifable to kill them, being that they're an active threat.
This is just one of those examples of Nux trying WAY too hard to be funny and being incapable of going longer than 10 seconds without telling a bad joke. His scripted videos are always much funnier.
@@jackmanleblanc2518 kinda, yeah.

Bro, why would Gobta change after getting a name. He was already a perfect specimen of a man, if only we could all be like the true leader of Tempest.
Dame nux stop destroying him 1:08
Ok to explain Nuxes question about why the King still exiled the craftsman, we have to entangle some misunderstanding.
I want Nux to watch and talk about reincarnated as a sword, which i appreciated far more than what I was expected to... and why not reincarnated as vending machine too lmao
It seems there is a trend to reincarnate someone in a supposedly inanimate object, what kind of iseaki the futur will offer us ?
In my experience, Japanese media tends to be "trendy", something unique but good comes out and then suddenly a whole bunch of other stories with a similar concept (but usually not as good) come out.
Misfit at Demon Academy -> "OP king achieves peace and reincarnates themselves into the future as a normal person, but ends up still being OP and having to save the world anyway"
Arifureta -> "Useless/weak isekai protagonist gets thrown into a deathtrap but survives and becomes OP as fuck"
I'm not sure, but I think the Sword Reincarnation is the one starting a "Reincarnated as an OP inanimate object and being carried around by a partner/best friend" trend
Hell, I think Sime Isekai itself started a "Reincarnated as a weak monster" trend as well.
I wrote the next paragraph just for venting a bit :
Opinion and appreciation sure are subjective, but I hate to see people stating them as objective facts.
I will never unhear/unsee "Dead mom hair."
*That is a brilliant observation.*

2:30 I almost died laughing 😂 Nux almost calling himself out 😂 I mean your human….so yes…but 😂
I've been keeping up with the slime story outside of the anime...
Nux doesn’t have intrusive thoughts, he has extrusive thoughts
My god, the pronunciation of the names makes me want to die, honestly
