My previous attempt at a 3D dog kinda ended up in an abomination at the very end due inexperience, and I lost a lot of motivation. Till I found this, having the whole process from start to finish and the reference resources ensures I won't ruin it at the end again as I can see how every part is done. So thanks for that! I did personally want a realistic dog but at this point I won't be picky anymore :P
Hello thanks for this video, could you put the whole video for for those who are learning to model an animal. (not accelerated). Thanks for advance ; ) )
Hi, I don't have the normal speed video, it was too big and I deleted it. The best way to learn from this video is to set its speed at 0.25 and pause it regularly. You can also download the scene files and compare them with your progress. Thanks!
Thank you. This variant I would have liked to try, because I have not yet long Blender use. But in your download the image for the page view (side.svg) seems to be broken. The front view is okay. And why is the dog so huge? It is twice the size of the blender cubes? The dog is very clean worked. I like it. Please make a text file into your zip file with a link to this page, so you can easily find the tutorial. Had the page not yet saved and had to search for a browser crash the page again. ;)
Thanks for commenting and thanks for the suggestion. Now the zip includes a text with the youtube links. The side.svg looks broken if it is opened with an image viewer, however when it is imported in blender it looks ok (file/import/svg). Rottweiler is a large breed, this is why it is twice the size of blender cubes, some dogs are even larger (humor). You can scale it down by using the "s" hotkey after selecting the model with right click.
tmz3d you could use Andrew Baker's Smaug Head as a reference:2.bp.blogspot.com/-ESUU-tsq3Y8/Uq9z-pYZq-I/AAAAAAAAAq8/1G3YswnBFAg/s1600/WB_Smaug_03_abaker.jpg Long neck, bulky body, four legs and massive wings.

Hi Sam, I just cheked the page and it seems to load as expected.
Im sorry, but there is something wrong with your side view reference. Can you check it please?
Hi Hoang, if you import it as svg to blender it should work.
@@amatzakos can you leave a png files link for front view and side view? Im currently using Maya and i dont know what a svg is.
I updated the default link. Now it has png files for front and side view.
@@amatzakos Thank you very much :D. Btw, your video is a little too fast. Hope you can slow it down a little bit.
Thanks for the feedback. I will consider your suggestion for the next one. Did you try 0.25 speed?
